90DF Live Chat 2: This Thread is Only 60% Good
Grifter Lives replied to OnceSane's topic in 90 Day Fiancé
Libby's family doesn't have to stay the full three weeks. It's probably too dangerous, anyway! Now that the wedding date of November 9 is set, they can plan to stay the minimum. -

Libby's objections are too late. Maybe she should have had a basic idea about the plans before she asked Chuck to foot the bill. -

S05.E03: Seeds Of Discontent
Grifter Lives replied to OnceSane's topic in 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After
The 2nd wedding shows what a waste the first wedding was. It wasn't Libby's dream of snow-covered mountaintop, where she arrived by horse-drawn carriage, and it wasn't in Andrrrrei's Church of Moldova, which suddenly is mandatory. They should have married in a civil ceremony to fulfill the K-1 requirement and had a reception after. And, more importantly, they should have decided wedding and religion to raise their child in before the actual marriage. Once Eleanor is baptised in Andrrrrei's church, will he take responsibility for her religious upbringing? Her godparents most likely will be his family members or friends who will remain in Moldova. Finally - regarding the Coven's complaints that they'd have to get passports: the one sister said that she married in Belgium last year. She smugly noted that she and her husband gave the family enough lead time. The passports of most, if not all, family members would probably still be valid (unexpired) if they all attended that wedding. -

I finally got through watching this. It was so bad that I fell asleep twice. Here were dumb things that jumped out for me that others didn't cover above: Ed started out in his robe in broad daylight. Then, supposedly, according to the screen title, half an hour later, he's crawling into his portable hot tub at night. Yolanda and her daughter are picking a to-go salad to serve themselves, when they set off Alexa to summarize The Williams. In a later scene, Yolanda calls the daughter to bring the chips to the TV. The daughter carries a large serving bowl full. of chips. Both Ed and Yolanda are in completely different homes than shown in the season. Rose was immature and not clever. Prince or an older kid was running around in the background in the one room she was filming in. They blurred him. Ed said that got a refund for the $2000 or $2500 he paid for the engagement ring. The Ed-at-Work photo shoot looked like a vanity project. The models were dressed as schoolgirls a la Britney Spears, "Oops! I Did It Again." Ed is such a creep. Ash claimed that he never saw the show. Coincidentally, he just happened to take a social media break when the comments about his seminar apexed. TLC only chose the comments on Ed's physical appearance. Some of the comments were from late March, near the finale. By then, people were callilng him out for being a sex tourist. Ed didn't state he had KFS until the tell-all. Yolanda's reading the Christie Teigen Twitter poll was for TLC's self-promotion. The Pillow Talkers are TLC mouthpieces who, of course, don't berate the current season of 90DF. Their clips were unnecessary, and they weren't amusing, and they didn't advance the show. (Granted, nothing would have.) TLC should have just shown the unedited or lightly-edited 10-hours of Day Two of the Tell-All (but not in one-shot).

Christine Brown Woolley: Nacho Sister Wife Anymore
Grifter Lives replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
Christine qualified for the LulaNo cruise this year or last - whcih means that she had to sell $12,000 per month for either 4 or 6 months. So, she had to sell at least $48,000 or $72,000 or merchandise in the given period. I don't know what her profits would have been. (I spent a minute on a Google search Because I hate myself when I devote braincells to these grifters, I didn't go further to verify.) Elsewhere, I read that Meri earned two cruise tickets and makes about $250,000 annually from LulaNo. Christine was the first to buy a home in Flagstaff, which would have required a downpayment. She paid $520,000 over a year ago. (Janelle's was $460,000.) She seemed to have the money then. And, of course, she was the loudest and most repetitive in when Robyn announced that she and Kody had to move from their rental. Her anguish then wasn't that their finite resources would be diverted from her daughter's surgery, a long-anticipated medical need. Instead, she was howling about the loss of the family gathering space in her own effort to delay or prevent Kody's building his Plyg Palace from Hell. She should be calling in all the perks of polygamy that she professes to us monogamists so often. -
I think Avery does a disservice to herself by participating in this spin-off. She seemed accepting and non-judgmental in her season. In the promos, she's stiff as she tries to pretend that she's gearing herself up for catfights with keyboard bullies. I think that she was a necessary last-minute substitution for BGL. Of course, Tom and Ed relish this opportunity for more camera-time in which they show what great catches they are to their countless loving fans. They're such media whores. Yolanda remains a complete void.

Andrrre is just not going to get a job. It looks like they've lived in the house for at least a few months, and he's spending his days assembling one piece of furniture. Last week, it was a flatscreen TV; today, it's a coffee table. -

S05.E01: What Goes Around, Comes Around
Grifter Lives replied to kendi's topic in 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After
From the exterior shot, Colt stayed at the Hotel Chicago West Loop. He brought cups of complimentary coffee from the lobby to the room in the morning after scene. Colt could fly from Las Vegas to Chicago for under $100, stay at the hotel one night and meet at the strip mall bar with daily specials. The big expenses would be the Uber and boat rides. I hope that this isn't a spoiler: https://www.msn.com/en-us/entertainment/news/e2-80-9890-day-fiance-e2-80-99-franchise-returns-to-chicago-for-e2-80-98happily-ever-after-e2-80-99-spinoff/ar-BB15zlDx -
Snark Should Be Multiplied, Not Divided: General Show Discussion
Grifter Lives replied to sweet201's topic in Sister Wives
With no Kody, it might have been possible for Meri and Janelle to have remained friends and sisters-in-law. Meri would have maintained some cordiality to her brother's wife, and Janelle's and her childcare wouldn't have been as intetwined. Plus, they'd have their own kitchens. -
My comment was aimed at the LulaNo pressure for gastric sleeve surgery. I wrongly identified it as gastric bypass. The owner of the company likes the salesforce to be Size Small or Medium and strongly encourages them to go to a particular clinic in Mexico for the procedure. Mary is high enough in the pyramid that I'd expect her to be facing that pressure. Maybe her Z-List celebrity status or her body-positive daughter is a counterforce.

I thought that she was shilling the shirt, not the shorts, since it was Flag Day, and she's sitting. I sometimes wonder if LulaNo pushes the Mexican gastric bypass surgery on her. (In this photo, she just looks thick.)

Victoria was searching for a husband pre-internet. Shawn shouldn't be asking her about the economics of internet dating scams. They should have paid to bring Yuri back for that. He could also have revealed if TLC or the dating sites paid Lana's appearance fees
