  1. Well they sort of redeemed Becky. (In that she finally stopped being Sue's apprentice and turned Sue in.) In Becky's last scene she was pleasant and the most mature we've seen her. But the earlier screaming had me hit the mute. The Final Countdown had me thinking of other parts on Broadway that Matt could do like Hedwig, Rock of Ages. FC itself was painful. "Rise"actually worked well in the episode. Aside from that, what a waste of time that episode was. Too much Sue!!! Eep, Sam as the voice of reason? See this is the Sam (season 2 Sam) that I liked. Rachel will keep making the same mistakes if she doesn't address the reasons she made them to begin with. But I don't want Sam or Jesse to be involved in her decision. I want Rachel to do a self analysis and make her own decisions! I love Carol Burnett, that is all. Eta some items to clarify.
  2. That was my take on Jesse as well. As Carmen also noted, Jesse had passion for performing. He belonged in a school that specialized in the performing arts, or he should have just ignored college completely and headed straight to Broadway to try his luck. Lazy is not a term I would ever associate with Jesse. ND's lack of preparation, hard work, and rehearsal was one of his main criticisms of them, and why he was so disdainful of them as a group. I went from finding Finn to be a likeable doofus to hating him; that's how bad the writers trashed him. I didn't have a problem with the writers making Rachel a bit more likeable and aware of others but instead they turned her into a completely different character in season 2 without showing us why. The repercussions of her mother's rejection etc. were never properly dealt with. All the characters (who had any significant screen time) were continually being rewritten to suit RIB's plot whims. It was only my investment in the actors that have kept me watching, and even then I only saw about half of season 4 and maybe five hours of season 5. Season 6 I'm watching but frankly if Samchele was going to be endgame I would have stopped watching a few episodes ago. Have all the songs for season 6 been spoiled? I've lost track.
  3. Best parts of tonight's episode for me: 1) No Klaine 2) Very little Samchele (they just seemed like friends rather than much else.) 3) I liked the scenes with Madison, Mason, & Jane. 4) I liked Mason's solo. He certainly did a better job of singing Queen than Blaine. ( My ears still hurt from that past horror.) 5) Sue having to be Myron's "slave." The two deserve each other.
  4. Jonathan Groff takes over role of King George in off-Broadway hit Hamilton Nice to see Jonathan staying in touch with his musical theater side.
  5. Ugh, I do not know why they cast Max George. There are way better singers/actors in my citiy's amateur theater group. Plus I' m still angry that Groff only got to sing one duet since season 1 of Glee ended.
  6. Wow that was a boring, badly written episode! I watched about 70% of it and ffwd'd thru the rest. The only parts I really enjoyed were: The scene with Mike and Tina; & the one with Artie and Tina. "At Last" The healthy relationship between Burt & Carole. Watching the background action in the crowd scenes (Blaine's embarrassment at his mother's behavior; Puck & Blaine's mom; people just having goofy fun.) Sugar! Lea's performance in the episode. She didn't have many scenes but she did them well. I really do think that the writers managed to gave the fanatical portion of Klainer fandom what they were demanding but at the same time they sneakily didn't. The reunion was rushed, unbelievable and Klaine were totally lacking in chemistry. So yes, Blaine and Kurt got married but more as a throwaway afterthought. I've noticed the more reasonable portion of Klainedom have voiced concerns about Kurt and Blaine as a couple. Some have even said they no longer wanted them to reunite at all and had given up shipping them. However, there still remains the deluded, crazy portion of Klainers that can rationalize that white is black and black is white and down is up and up is down.
  7. Yes, I think Klaine was meant to be endgame but I also agree that losing Finchel meant way more focus on Klaine. With those Glee writers more focus translates into more damage done to the characters. The characters that have fared the best on Glee have been those with limited storylines/screentime. I am very thankful that Groff didn't sign a contract that kept him enslaved to Glee.and at the whims of RIB's ADD writing.
  8. It's not an irrational hate; Gwyneth is an idiot. She has no concept of everyday peoples struggles. She's the Marie Antoinette of our times.
  9. I have a feeling I am going to get all nostalgic and cry right thru the final 15 minutes of the show - especially if they choose the right songs.
  10. I'm still hoping that the song Darren wrote is for the "in the future glee club" to sing.
  11. I'm gonna skip watching this episode aside from the songs and anything with Mike in it. I don't care one way or the other about Brittana and I absolutely abhor the idea of Klaine, especially if Burt and Carole are pushing the idea. (WTF has happened to these two formally sane individuals?) I would be so thrilled if in the flash forward Klaine have indeed divorced and are never, ever getting back together. I'm looking forward to the next episodes now that the Klaine fans have been pacified and we can get on to other storylines.
  12. I'm pretty thrilled that so many returned for this big final number. It seems like Idina, Kristin (who both have stage shows right now), Melissa (Marley), Damien, (Rory-had a CT concert tonight, ) Grant (Sebastion), may be the only ones missing? (Paltrow doesn't count in my universe). What about the actors who played Howard Bamboo & coach Tanaka? As much as Glee drove me crazy, I am going to miss the actors and their characters. I wonder what the final song will be? I hope they don't do "Don' t Stop Believing" again, unless it segues into another song.
  13. For those who want a brief/quick introduction to Glamrock check this out.. A more in depth view of Glamrock is here. I am not familiar with the role of Hedwig apart from watching NPH's performance at the Tony's, so I'm currently listening to the album on youtube. I knew NPH could do the vocal range (he did Dream On with Matt in Glee afterall.) Darren is going to have big platform boots to fill. I'm not sure he can sustain his voice for that many weeks and he definately doesn't physically suit the part. Oh well, at least he's challenging himself.
  14. I just downloaded some music this weekend from Pentatonix (an a cappella group that just won a Grammy) which led me to their youtube channel , and I was struck by how one of their singers, Mitch Grassi has a voice similiar to Chris Colfer's. Why couldn't they have incorporated songs like Mitch sings for Chris in Glee?
  15. I read somewhere that her ex (whom I prefer to call BS) is responsible for Naya trying to look like that kardashian trash. No woman should let a man dictate how she looks. I feel sorry that society and media has created such ridiculous expectations on what people should look like, and Hollywood continues to perpetrate the falseness and add pressure on women in particular.
  16. Naya's lips have looked inflated and weird for awhile now. I found it distracting when she sings. Guess they've elected Darren as the official superfluous Glee commentator. I was quite happy with just Mike & Sugar being on my screen.
  17. Glee used in the same sentence as sense is an oxymoron. They could not just retcon. They could completely erase everything that happened in season 1 through 6 as in it never happened nor will happen.
  18. I'm now thinking they will do just that. In which case I will cease to watch after Dreams Come True. (Although if it means that Klaine never happened, I could be tempted. I just am afraid about what they'll do to St.Berry in the process.)
  19. UGH, from the latest listings it looks like 2009 is the final episode. So all bets are off as to the way Glee really ends.
  20. Yes, it is par for the course that when actors are starring together, especially when they are in a relationship storyline, that you end up knowing way more about other actors than you wish to. It's inevitable. For example I like Jon Groff as an actor and a person, and I really don't like Russell Tovey. But because their storyline is a big one on Looking, my tumblr fills up with scenes and info that I really would block except that then I'm also blocking Groff. So I just have to bear it until Looking is done or Tovey leaves the series, whichever comes first. When Glee is done the actors I'm most likely to interested in as to where their careers go are: Lea, Matt, Jayma, Chris, Harry, Amber, and Naya.
  21. As long as they include the fanfic, that Harmony is St. Berry's future daughter. :-) Harry Shum is so yummy. I have missed Mike on my screen. You just made my heart break a little. I hadn't considered that the writers would do it that way, but of course they probably will. I'd rather it be a total surprise to Jesse, as in Rachel has to audtion again with the lead male they've already chosen and it is Jesse (much to both their surprise). Also, no more love triangles BLECH!!!! Jesse has been in love with Rachel for a long time (he just didn't realize it until it was too late) so I really don't need to see him get dumped for another jock, again. In any case, I'm just happy they portray Jesse as finding his niche after floundering in season 2 & 3. When I watched his expression after Carmen told him he had passion and was talented I could see a a rekindling of hope in his eyes, so I'm happy the writers have pursued that.
  22. I think it was more speculation on the part of posters who feel that Samchele is endgame. Eta: or what Fakeempress just posted as I was typing. :-)
  23. That still drives me nuts. In 6 seasons they have yet to learn that practice and planning/preparation is so important. When you look at it you could say that Mr. Shue's mishandling of the Glee Club and competitions was actually what ruined Rachel's work ethic and led to her bad choices at NYADA & on Broadway.
  24. I'm just ecstatic that 1)Jesse wasn't brought back as VA's coach & 2)he's in a Broadway show where he's always belonged. I really don' t care what Rachel chooses re NYADA or Broadway, I'll be happy if they are both in N.Y. and Sam isn' t. My head canon can take care of the rest. My only other wish is that Jesse gets to sing. Oh well apparently Groff gets to sing a little in the new Frozen short that comes out in March (although it's probably just a snippet again. :-(
