  1. Less Dr. Sturgis? They went out of their way to re-characterize his relationship with Meemaw.
  2. That would let them take the Sheldon vs religion scenes out of the church.
  3. Since Ravi was experimenting on rats, it wouldn't be implausible for rat brains to be a new source of food paste; or enable a more widespread cure If they could give rats that special illness.
  4. To be consistent, shouldn't their ads be singing "Leeberty" four times?
  5. They probably figure that prospective customers want to find somebody hot. Maybe they should tell us what Courtney's issue is. Is she like Taylor Swift in Blank Space? Like creepy Emily on The Big Bang Theory? They shouldn't be leaving it to viewers' imagination.
  6. I think she's right, which may be why she was trying out other wording earlier. Based on their ads, Wayfair doesn't seem to have anything to distinguish themselves from other etailers.
  7. All we know is that George saw "boobies", so the channel may not have been anything scandalous, not that Mary would have liked hearing that her kids could see something like that. This was before the TV rating system was invented, so she couldn't have locked out the PG-13 and R-rated content that cable uses to bring in customers.
  8. Is that the right news story? It says that she was attacked, but in the video she refers to an accident.
  9. Since when do any of the Charmin bears wear underwear?
  10. Kids are usually able to grab whatever's handy to reach what they want, but the daughter here is clearly expecting mom to help her out since she's standing right there!
  11. Would she? The net is a sea of wrong information. For a while, the show would often go to break with Nev asking "is this who (s)he's really been talking to?" after being led to a red herring.
  12. If that's what the producers are going for, somebody needs to pin it up on the wall of the writer's room, because they haven't been consistent about what ism/phobia they're doing from week to week.
  13. Or, he's never been able to pick one leg over the other to go first.
  14. I think Penny may be the smartest of the group, but she's not academically inclined, and I like that the show has drawn a distinction. One of my favorite episodes is when Sheldon explained String Theory to her, and she seemed to understand better than he did; Sheldon likes to "know" lots of things, to impress people (and fool IQ tests?), but often has trouble connecting the dots. WRT video games, I suspect Penny had experience playing similar games while hanging out at the mall or bowling alley (another of her skills).
  15. Why are they equating their customers to crime victims?
  16. It happened in 2017, before a phone would pass along its GPS information. Instead, the system would work out the location by triangulating with 3 towers, but out in the woods, it's doubtful his phone could reach that many. His wife probably knew where he was and could tell 911 even if he passed out quickly.
  17. Zombies are people with a serious, communicable disease, so it's not really analogous to race, so that metaphor isn't working. Last season's wall/Mexican border analogy, focusing on smuggling people in and out, worked better because you do have people with dangerous diseases coming into the U.S.
  18. Awkwafina needs a more distinctive look. I know I've seen her numerous times before, but was glad the writers worked her name into the conversation; not sure if I would have come up with it otherwise.
  19. Apparently, Penny's acting teacher was into Tennessee Williams; they were doing another of his works, Streetcar Named Desire, two seasons later. There was an episode where Leonard remarks on how much she was spending on lessons, but I don't recall which.
  20. The ad is showing models being paid to wear things the company hasn't sold yet, so maybe not.
  21. Maybe it's because the lighting in her Only Time music video gives the piled sand a yellowish color that makes it resemble powdered cheese.
  22. I think she particularly liked being able to boss others around for a change, especially coworkers that hadn't been treating her very well. This may have been a big factor in telling Leonard to stand up and not let Sheldon and Beverly boss him around.
  23. How big was the crowd? He originally said it would take "36 adults or 70 children" to have a problem, but that was in S3, so he's had time to adjust (speaking in front of classes and at his wedding may have helped). Also, his chances of getting trampled by the Nobel crowd are presumably less than average, so he may have been okay with more people than usual. Bernie gave her a new job.
  24. Before Challenger blew up what was going to be the first teacher in space, they were giving joyrides to Senators, so it was plausible to send Howard to watch over the important piece of equipment he built in case it turned out to be just as reliable as his space toilet.
  25. The writers must have forgotten Leonard was from NJ. If he took a bus to school, as was likely, a 6AM wakeup was typical back then, and if anything, Beverly should have been yelling that he needed to get ready for school. I don't think they needed the yelling; what other kid with glasses would they be showing us (especially with that background song)? Having said that, it was an awesome idea, so I don't mind a minor glitch in execution.
