I don’t think Anna came off well today at all. Like you said, it wasn’t her plan. Anna forced her into helping, mainly because Valentin was keeping a secret from her. You’d think Anna would be way more understanding about the NB and Lucy raising money for AIDS research considering Robin. They also had Lucy mention the other day how Deception business has been cratering since her death was announced so she’s losing out on a lot on what ultimately seems like a dumb plan to me.
-
Personally Ive never been into the Nurses Ball but I figured that they were doing it for the 60th anniversary so they had an excuse for characters to return like they did for the 50th anniversary. If Robin isn’t going to be there and Tracy doesn’t return until later that month, I’d wager that we’re not getting guest stars this go around.

There’s been references to 5 different characters feeling sick in the past week. Molly, Sam, Gregory, Donna and Olivia. Victor as well but I assumed that his pathogen is whatever Mrs. Wu/Holly gave him. Is there a contagion SL brewing or is it just a weird coincidence?
-
I’m sure that’s the case but today was even weirder than normal. Nina immediately agreed to it once they finally let her speak, which made all of the caterwauling about how she’d say no or make them beg and ruin all of the plans extra cringey.
-
I’m sorry because I know I’m ranting about it but I really wish that they’d just go ahead and kill the so-called Carly/Nina rivalry. They probably think it’s fun like Monica/Leslie was or Dorian/Vicki on OLTL but their little showdowns are lame and not entertaining.
-
Like it doesn’t even make sense. Carly telling Nina to put her hatred for her aside for a good cause. It’s not Carly’s event and Nina was the co-host during the red carpet for the last few years of it. She was actively involved in it. Why would she hate it now? I stand by what I said earlier that the show doesn’t know what to do with Carly and LW’s episode guarantees.
-
I swear that they’re manufacturing drama with Nina now. They’re just assuming that she wouldn’t allow them to have the NB at the MC so they can bitch about it. This is stupid. Why wouldn’t Maxie just ask her since she’s planning the damn thing and they are close
-
The 2 friendships of hers that they try to sell are completely one sided. When has Carly been there for Olivia or Sam when they were dealing with something? She couldn’t even be bothered to tell her bff Sam that she’s involved with her ex husband. That’s why I laugh when Olivia goes so hard for Carly because you know she probably barely thinks about Olivia. I don’t think anyone truly takes up space in Carly’s mind other than her children and dead Jason. Everyone else is just there to serve her

I don’t think Valentin should be in charge of ELQ but I find Drew attempting to swindle a preteen Charlotte out of ELQ shares to be equally gross if not worse. He just wants control for himself. I doubt he’s going to hand Brook Lynn back her shares because she might not vote with him. If it was truly about family, then he’d be offering to split the shares equally amongst all of them but he wants them all to himself. Also, aren’t ELQ shares supposed to be extremely valuable? How does he have enough money to afford close to half of them when last year, he was desperately trying to sell off Aurora assets in order to have the funds to buy Carly’s half of the MC back for her? They’ve already said that Aurora is not anywhere close in value to ELQ.
-
Lol that’s the best case scenario. Because the show hates me, I bet Carly will do or say something to Nina to cause her to change her mind and report her so Carly can play victim instead of acknowledging that she committed a felony.
-
What was the random Carly/Liz scene about? Lol if they are struggling this bad with things for Carly do to when she isn’t around her kids or fighting with Nina, they should probably look into slashing LW’s guarantees because she’s essentially turned into a supporting character with disproportionate screen time. Tbh Sonny has too, though he has this mob SL going on right now, and they do the same insert into a random SL so he can give his POV that no one asked for as well. It’s annoying.
-
Interesting, I assumed that Tracy was debuting earlier than that considering how long ago it was announced. Shame she won’t be part of the anniversary. I wonder if her first episode being right after ES’ means that their returns are to wrap up what happened to Luke. Especially considering that Bobbie was talking about him today

Having Dex as a discount Jason makes me feel like I should apologize about everything I used to say about Shawn and his bad aim during the years he was a Jason replacement. Is Dex supposed to be intentionally terrible at this because he already doesn’t look the part and I can’t recall Sonny ever having to save any of his Jasons.
-
I assumed that she didn’t want him around because she’s involved in the NB and it’s out of sight, out of mind for her. Though she probably also assumes he can’t function now that he’s lost her because it would be typical. I doubt it’s about his feelings because she showed up at Kelly’s like 2 days after they broke up and wasn’t super concerned about how he felt then.

Drew came off slimy in his scenes with Ned on Friday and with Laura today. I guess it’s something different than the usual but he comes off like someone who thinks he’s way more charming and convincing than he actually is and you could tell that neither were buying what he’s selling.
-
I’m sure there’s some plot point reason Michael is involved in the Nurses Ball because I can’t recall him involved in planning any type of party or event before and are he and Maxie even close? You’d think she’d reach out to someone like Sam, BL, or Sasha if she just needed help planning in general.

I do think Portia is in the wrong and wouldn’t blame Curtis for splitting up with her but I still have absolutely zero interest in this story. Curtis once again playing the injured party because a woman lied to him is tired. He’s not exactly a bastion for honesty and an upstanding moral citizen himself. It doesn’t help that I didn’t agree with him when he did the same thing with Jordan. He was also completely dismissive when she suggested couples therapy to work through their issues, probably because he already had Portia waiting in the wings. Not to mention, accusing Jordan of not filing the divorce papers because she’s hung up on him. He beyond irritates me. I’m sure whenever this wraps up, we’ll get another poor Curtis storyline in the form of Trina not being interested in a father/daughter relationship
-
It still baffles me that Carly and Drew think they’re doing an amazing job hiding their relationship. Everyone knows they’re together. Most don’t care or are wondering why they are bothering to hide it. This is making them come off line complete dingbats
-
He’s now a full on Carly refusing to take accountability for his actions. He and Michael are terrible businessman who not only spoke down to both Ned and Lucy but were actively screwing over Ned and expected him to just side with them out of “family loyalty”. But yeah it’s all Valentin’s fault for recognizing that they would go for a deal that benefits them in some way. I’m ready for him to die again. I can already tell that when Nina turns them in for insider trading, he’s going to assume it was Ned and throw a bitch fit over it
-
As irritating as it is, I think that the show thinks they have sold Olivia as the Q family matriarch, even though she resents practically everything about them and throws Ned under the bus constantly. Ironically, the only time she was team Ned and defending him at all costs was when he was the evil big business mayor and we were clearly supposed to be rooting against him. It’s why they always give her the big Quartermaine speeches about how the family is and their history. I guess we’re supposed to ignore that most of the family was long gone before she and Ned ever got involved so she didn’t exactly witness their family dynamics or had to deal with anything.

While the situations are similar, the era that happened makes them vastly different. Things like that were not looked at as a crime back then but are treated differently now. Brenda was seen as a typical high school mean girl so no redemption cycle was necessary. Also, Esme did way more than the sex tape. Drugging Trina and framing her for the crime that could have led to a jail sentence and getting kicked out of school was way more calculating and dangerous. Can they redeem her, sure, but the way they’re attempting it is a fail so far. She needs to make amends and face accountability from the people she hurt. They can use Ryan as an influence for her behavior but she still needs to make an effort to change. Giving her amnesia so no one can address her is a whitewash, not a redemption.

@Bringonthedrama IA completely with your post. It’s a weird catch-22 for me with show because while I get frustrated that my faves frequently face repercussions for this actions while someone like Carly never does, I also probably wouldn’t like them as much if they constantly skated and felt no guilt when they did something. I like that they feel more human and rounded as characters and sometimes have to be down. It’s also much more compelling to see issues arises within their relationship with their family or friends or seeing actions impact their jobs, even though it’s very uneven.

I’m sure she’ll think that but wasn’t he going to Stanford originally? He only changed his mind to go to PCU after Franco died because he wanted to be there for his mom and brothers. Considering it’s been 2 years, that’s plenty of time to focus on himself now and what would be best for his future.
-
I’ll settle for Cam being a good enough soccer player to get a scholarship to Stanford while Joss got waitlisted from her dream school despite being the daughter of a billionaire.

I thought he already brought it up but he can’t do anything since Trina isn’t interested in getting one since no matter what, she considers Taggart her dad. I guess he could pull a Carly and get one behind her back but it’s not legal without her consent
