  1. Then again, trying it out in a more polite way: Jesus is Paul Rovia's nickname and he is also gay in the comics, and I am glad they didn't change it just to suit a few people who don't like gays and lesbians and feel offended on a personal level by everything. Must be a religious thing, well, we're in 2017 and gays and lesbians are as normal as straight people and should be shown in shows too. Some people in the Black Sails fandom got offended too by a gay/bisexual outing of one main character, I just can't understand things like that, seems out of the world I live in where homosexuals are seen as normal, regular people who have the same rights as straight people.

Exactly, and that is what makes the "mattress"-burning even more ridiculous, I mean why would a guy like him go on a mattress rampage instead of hitting where it hurts the most, it is a way he keeps his own men in check by having their wives in his harem, offering them when the good boys have been nice. On another note, maybe Rick went on his "Judith is not mine"-hysterics in order to really keep her safe, as in, Negan not knowing she is his and her becoming another pawn he can use to torment good ol' Rick.

Awful, nothing but a long long blablabla, and as much as I wanted to like it, like Negan, hell, even like Rick, nope, not this time. I do wonder though how Rick would react if next time, when they have nothing to give to Negan, the blabbermouth would ask for some of the women for his harem. I don't think the Alexandrians have any idea how bad it really looks, especially with a Rick going all "mellow and weak" on them like with not planning and getting things hidden before Negan even sets out to come over.
  4. Pretty much everything has been said, it's a show I watch because... Yeah, not sure why but I do and I kinda like it, not sure why, probably like The Following or other shows that you just ended up watching to shake your head :) My little thorn with this episode though, probably the only one wondering about it: Didn't Mac, the ex-military hottie get shot in his leg in Afghanistan? I rewatched that episode and yes, it was only his right leg, so why is he now talking about an arm wound Topher owes him for?
  5. I am watching the episode right now, and honestly, as nice as the opening sequence was, that dreadful feeling of "Days of our lives" just washed over me when Daryl and Carol had their little talk. Something I would have loved before, but as the writing of the show has become weak and shallow, even Carol and Pookie have become stale... Though, on another note, hahahaha Daryl and driving stick, hilarious :D, as an European who always had stick-cars I always find it too amusing when people have a hard time managing it :D
  6. And that, ladies and gents, is why I "pouted" at the Richonne-couple. We now have smooshie romantic sap from 3 heterosexual couples, one with a baby on the way --> I so hope the show won't become a romantic shoops party, because that will make me bolt for the hills. Yes it is about people surviving the apocalypse, but I can do very well without a "days of our lives"-depth to the script, I hate that shows always have to have their main protagonists in a heterosexual couple, contrived and annoying, and it telepgraphs "hey, women, you can't like a show for the action since you are a female, here, have some romantic bs, just for you" In addition, I am not sure about this: We have yet to see Tara and whom is she flirting with, Denise? And did we see Aaron and Eric kiss or do we just have those couples so no-one can call TPTB homophobe?
  7. Well, at least I now know I can fast-forward over the beginning of the show, but glad for all the shippers, they have their moment of sappy happiness, good for them. Poor Michonne though, she'll head via the "Lori 2.0 base" straight to the "gruesome death" moment. And then the drama will take its course :D Can't wait to see Daryl and Rick though, and Jesus, yes, so I'll comment later.
  8. Wow ok, I never read it as in a black woman/white man type of situation, probably because over here where I live that is never a problem, or rather was never a problem historically speaking and still isn't, so it's just as normal as white/white and black/black but now that I read it, I can see where you are coming from, if you go by that angle. But honestly, I think that is just coincidence, just like the "killing one black guy" the second another arrived, it happened because the writers sometimes do not think further than their little brains lol. The problem is, Michonne being a friend and protecting the kids is the same as when Daryl or Carol do it, the second Rick and her get the smoochies going, that dynamic will change and it may very well become some sort of "new mommy/caretaker" situation. And, if my memory serves me right, wasn't she a housemom before the apocalypse, she may turn into Lori 2.0, yelling at other women for going on watchduty instead of cooking Though I think that would cost them a lot of fans, whether they ship Richonne or not.
  9. Glad all the shippers are happy, but seriously, Rick and Michonne just is something that will ruin not only both characters, but huge portions of the next episodes. I hate it when shows bring in couples to either have "couples around" or to satisfy a group of fans or have female viewers or whatever reasons. Rick and Michonne ooze a deep friendship, platonic soulmates, deep respect, but nothing sexual there, it may very well turn out contrived and forced. I see Daryl/Carol on just the same level, cute for some but ultimately unnecessary and illogical and not doing much besides having "couple"-moments on the screen. With Jessie gone I had the hope that they would let things go with the flow, but apparently theirs is that Rick, no matter what, needs a woman at his side. Heck, wy not pair him with Daryl while we're at it, those two have a deep bromance too lol, would be just as bizarre as with Michonne.
  10. Average episode, it is a pity that after that many seasons the writers can't find "rarer" cases instead of heating up the old ones. Liv Liv Liv, no comment on the "drinking problem" issue, after all of her "troubles", the utterly boring and pointless baby drama, now that? Wow, how amazingly innovative... And am I the only one having found Rollins impossibly annoying? The facial expressions, it's either the actress and a limited range or the writers wanting to make Rollins come over as slightly touched in her head, but geez was she annoying. Close to the "Lori Effect" on TWD, right now I just want her to tumble under a truck, and fast.
  11. I am in a daze right now... I went into it with a 50/50 chance of ending up sad and displeased but holy mother of everything, right now I am nothing but ecstatic and content and smiling and smirking and grinning. Thank you Fuller, that was the best ending you could offer us --> in my opinion, I respect those who right now sit there and cry in disappointment but the happiness of such a divine ending makes me selfish right now :) I thought Francis was dead and then he suddenly isn't. After his meeting I was like, who is "in bed" with who now? There were so many pairings, plotting and all, it wasn't certain who was playing whom. And Will, you naughty boy, you and Jack and the lovely Alana, plotting and not giving the proverbial rat's butt about any cop dying in the process? Will knew the Dragon would strike, the other two can't possibly be so stupid as to not think something will go sideways, and Chilton, well, he's probably still laughing his butt off in his tube hehe.. Hannibal and Will teaming up against the Dragon, it was basically the best ending considering there won't be a 4th season, and it still keeps it open as to "the murder husbands" surviving or not. Edit: Bedelia and her leg were a bit over the top, I was expecting Alana and her wifey to arrive to indulge in the feast, or Jack for that matter, it was just a bit too unbelievable and weird...
  12. Maybe they were leftovers from the grand-ma :) Have to say I can't get around the picture of them sipping their martinis, they are so not martini people, maybe Reba but Francis, it gives him some kind of "even hotter" vibe somehow
  13. Exactly... A guy like Francis would use duct tape or something equal - in my imagination at least, not that those "pads" wouldn't be or come in handy, hey, I am girl, thank you show for that silly idea on how to use them lol. The fact the "Red Dragon" uses something a guy like him would never have at home, or would never think about, it seems to be one of those little - stupid? - signs we get... Thank you for something absolutely silly and trivial to become a main thought when watching Hannibal, not sure l like myself right now :) And, nothing to do with the prior, what would have happened if Reba would have gotten up and bowed before the Dragon, telling him she was in love with Francis and would love him too? LIke an: Wow, the "killer" is like majorly in love with me and I dig that :) A complete different ending and honestly, right now, one I really like. The "Murder Husbands" and "Reba and her Dragon", and hello, I hate relationships in series, they seem fake 87,98% of the time :)
  14. Rewatching it right now, did anyone else notice the "lady tissue", uhm, the "other thing to the tampon" or what you call it in English Francis put over Chilton's eyes? It just hit me as "funky and funny", no duct tape or anything, he uses women's hygiene articles, hello amusing little wink.
  15. A Canadian channel, City, still airs it on Thursdays. I find them perfectly matched to be honest, if one ignores the amazing/strange/eerie fact someone like Dolarhyde can fall for a woman, but a blind woman cannot judge his appearance and has her own "scars/burdens" to carry, so she is less a threat than a seeing woman could be, and then with her open and rather unfearful attitude towards him and bamm, he is lost, not understanding how someone as innocent/pure/whatever could feel attracted to him, or not attracted, but at least interested in his person. Usually I hate those pairings that need to be added for romance-reasons, but this one, I don't know, the first one I dig hehe... I think I am not quite normal either, rooting for the family-killer, I believe Armitage is to blame for that :)
  16. Yup, that's the guy John thinks he will have to face, poor guy was already fearing for his life, loved that little twist, because I really thought it would be the infamous Edward Teach/Thatch/Tatch/whatever waiting on the other side, but no, only a little hairy welcome present for the new guy :) The guy on the island, Albinus, was not Blackbeard, not sure where I read it, but I think it was on the Black Sails facebook page where they clarified that question, though the rumours that it was him persist, don't ask me why. The real Blackbeard died on his ship, supposedly shot and stabbed a dozen times and more before actually giving up and dying, at least that is what I remember, or think I remember lol, but it was something along those lines. In my opinion, the guy on the island was just a huge douche, probably boy-molesting to top all his vices and serving to give Charles Vane an interesting back-story. Real-life Charles Vane didn't sail under Blackbeard but a Captain called Henry Jennings, before he became his own Captain. But a question, do we know they won't include Blackbeard? Did they say anything like that? Because after Lowe's too short appearance I hoped that maybe a certain Uber-Captain may sail by to spank Hornigold, Vane, Flint and Rackham lol, it would only be fitting to have him present.
  17. Long time lurker finding a Black Sails Forum here, yes, finally some action :), hello everyone There is no way she didn't know he would react this way, perhaps not to what extent, but she had to know he would take it very, very badly and she knew what he was capable of. Come on, he basically beheaded Lowe making a spectacle out of it the way a cat leaves a dead mouse on the doorstep. She butted heads with him often enough, and her "playing him like a fiddle" had to turn sour at one point or another. First, back in Season 1, she slaps him in front of basically whole Nassau at the tavern, then after some "cold war" jumps him in the tents, to right after having had her way with him, depose him of his captaincy because of the Max-Affaire. Helping Anne with Haumund certainly did not help either and I am probably forgetting a dozen other events that had them clashing. So let's face it, she had it coming thrice over... I loved how we got another glimpse on who is Captain Vane, though I still wait to finally find out how he ended up as a slave on the Island I call "rape-island", because no way the expression he had when Albinus (was it Albinus or what was that huge, bearded creep called?) put his hand on the boy's shoulder meant nothing happened. That was a knowing expression, not only did the boy wear the same scar/mark (I don't think all the men on the island did), but he probably was like ol' creepus' favourite toy or something. So the "slave" term could mean as much being a physical slave than being a psychological one, memories, burdens, the British lurking around, etc. He is the most honest of the whole bunch, you get what you see and you reap what you sow, Jack did when he sided with Anne, Lowe did when (poor Lowe, would have loved to see the psycho interact some more with everyone, that was one of the honest ones too, just a tad more on the crazy side than Vane) when he decided to find a nemesis in Eleanore 'I always need a male to save my butt' Guthries, and now Eleanore finally crossed the lines too. Though I can imagine her finding yet again a way to wind him around her little finger. Flint, what to say about the man's ideas, he'll follow through with them until the end, since this is Treasure Island and he can't leave us too soon he is pretty safe I would say, even if the beating he received probably is only the beginning of what to expect for his and his little groups entourage in the near future. Can't wait to see how things unfold on their end, though being a Team-Vane member since day one I have to say I am more curious as to perhaps learn how the hell he managed to get his guys there so quickly. Did they show how he got out of his cell, can't remember? I mean he had to get out, get daddy, kill daddy, and then follow Flint as swift as the wind.
