I think she would have still called Chris, but it wouldn't have been laced with as much melodrama had she not just had it out with Luke. It would have been more along the lines of "Hey, don't panic because she's okay, but Rory was in a small wreck tonight." etc etc. *snicker* As much as I love Lorelai, it really does bug me that she has never learned to temper what comes out of her mouth. It's like she really has no concept how much she can hurt people with her words.

Because Lorelai getting pregnant "derailed Christopher's life" (in Straub's eyes, anyway) and they never forgave Lorelai for that, and thus didn't want anything to do with Rory either. It's a fanwank of mine that Straub even refused to acknowledge that Rory was indeed Christopher's child without proof of paternity, and thus would not allow Christopher (a minor at the time) to take any kind of legal responsibility for Rory. It's not a popular fanwank, heh, but I like it.

Yep, I guess it's come to it now. Pilot and F&S from me too. I know, right? I always have to remind myself when I'm thinking about the ep (and whether or not I like it) that it's really supposed to be more about Rory, not Lorelai and Max. Blah.

Goldberg was great. I enjoy Hungry as long as I'm not thinking about it too hard, heh. The kid is a very sympathetic monster. Theef is outstanding. Chimera is good, but something about it just doesn't work for me. Rush is good. The first time I saw Orison I didn't care for it (thought it was a big let-down from Irresistible) but I've grown to appreciate it.

Ballrooms and Biscotti - aside from the Ice Cream Queen stuff (which, yeah....NO) I love every bit of this episode. Pilot - interestingly enough, I think it's the secondary characters I love most about this episode. Lane and Mrs. Kim both get pretty hilarious introductions ("I'm hayriding with a future proctologist, I have potential."), as does Sookie.
