  1. Season premiere is tonight--presumably the episode will feature Izzy since he's in a pic they have on Instagram to remind people. I think I have my DVR set to record it since I may not remember to watch if I am in a Hallmark Channel vortex haha.
  2. I strayed to Lifetime last night and watched The Christmas Hope. Mr. zv was NOT happy as he does not like the "depressing" movies even if I tell him over and over there will be something uplifting at the end. I guess this one is/was tied to The Christmas Shoes or another film? I think I've seen at least one or two of the other ones...anyway. Anyway. Madeleine (sp) Stowe kind of bothered me in this...I guess it was intentional? i.e. she was on the surface a sympathetic character who was not really that sympathetic. Also I spent some time trying to decide whether or not she had plastic surgery or not. AND I have always found James Remar hott. Then, *yawn* I stayed up until midnight watching The 12 Gifts of Christmas --very cute and it took away the "sad movie" vibe of the evening. Now, during this I had no trouble deciding whether or not Donna Mills had plastic surgery. It seemed like she had that talking-through-clenched-teeth thing going on or similar.
  3. I totally fell asleep during Angel of Christmas, I will try to catch it again based on the positive comments here. I though A Christmas Detour was OK, not as lame as it could've been but admittedly I fell asleep for part of that as well. :o However, I enjoyed re-re-re-watching snippets of Christmas Under Wraps as well as Let It Snow before and after... I don't have a huge problem with CCB I guess. Also, I don't recall if this show had been discussed last year or previously (or on another thread??) but another one of my yuletide favorites The Great Christmas Light Fight will be back on ABC starting on 7 December apparently. Looks like there are new hosts/judges however. Carter Oosterhouse? Yes, please. http://www.thefutoncritic.com/news/2015/10/22/the-great-christmas-light-fight-returns-for-a-third-joyous-season-with-new-judges-carter-oosterhouse-and-taniya-nayak-and-a-special-episode-where-neighborhoods-compete-732511/20151022abc03/
  4. So, last night's episode in Myanmar was interesting. Was that the first time we've been to a country that is still somewhat closed-off to foreigners? Probably not but right now I can't think of examples. I loved that the HH (can't remember his name) picked the abode where he has to get his mail via an ad hoc pulley system! I'm thinking he is really going to stick out in that nabe but he seemed to be going with the flow of everything pretty much. HOWEVER all I have going thru my head since last night is "Myanmar, mid-sized car..." ARGHHHH lol. EDIT: More musings!!!! The comment about how he could not climb the ladder into the one loft space because he was....WEARING JEGGINGS. Loved that guy.
  5. I enjoyed "Harvest Moon" too. It *was* pretty much was "Let It Snow" with pumpkins. Not that there is anything wrong with that. I lurved "Let It Snow" and probably watched it about seven times last Christmas. I only just happened upon the little movie marathon Saturday and I must say--it really got me psyched for the upcoming Christmas movie extravaganza starting on Halloween.
  6. I don't think so. I was wondering about him as well after I read the other posts above but I noticed him after I knew to look for a brother - he's shorter and has more facial hair I believe. And his hair is a little different. But he has similar features. I was watching some re-runs last night and am sure this has been discussed before...but the house where the guy was sleeping in it? And kept getting broken into... I would be terrified of living there. I know they said they were going to fix the fence where the squatters kept coming in but it did not look like they did much! Yikes.
  7. Last night on FB Tarek announced that they started filming the new season and guess who's back? Izzy! LOL I think they must've read some comments where people were irate about him being "fired." There is a quick goofy video with him too.
  8. Mazel Tov to the El Moussas! They just put photos up on FB ... poor Christina had to have an emergency C-section. Anyway Christina has NO MAKEUP ON OMGGGGGGzzzzzzz so of course there are comments about that. I personally think she looks lovely both without and with makeup.
  9. I hope they do a follow up as well. I loved Nabeela's makeup and outfits. My favorite part was when they were looking at the home she eventually bought and she ran up to pose on the staircase LOL. I do wish we saw more of the third mansion-y house. They never really explained that whole thing going on on the lower level--I guess it could've been an apartment? I loved the roof deck on that one.
  10. Where can I sign up to be friends with Nabeela and attend a parTAY at her fancy Chicago abode? Her friend was funny: "Hooked on onyx" haha. They never did show what she was going to do with that bathroom did they?
  11. I enjoyed "...Follow Up" too. Gotta love that lady with the pool table in the dining room...that could be the Mr and Mrs zivadanielle abode LOL. Her doggies were cute and it was sweet that Tarek and Christina brought over a gift basket with treats for them. The unseen footage was generally pretty amusing...esp the part with Partner Pete and the house that was a pretty big flop!
  12. It was SOOOO obvious that Christina was going to come in and nix all of the lower-budget ideas LOL. The investment partner's name escapes me at the moment, but I was pleased to see he got rid of his silly hairdo. Was that home really only two bedrooms? For half a million+ bucks? #california
  13. Bahahahaaaaa I kinda figured this episode would be discussed here LOL! I missed the very beginning but I immediately caught a poly vibe from them all. Didn't Lili yell at the husband about how he was ironing her clothes too? Hmmmm. And what was that with the two different budgets? Weird. My sister lives in Denver and is a realtor...I wonder what neighborhoods they were looking in; nice craftsman bungalows in Denver are $$$$.
  14. Mr. South Dakota Pediatric Dentist had the worst case of male vocal fry I have ever heard!!!! MY EARS. I liked the first and second homes...the third, the new build that the "girlfriend" wanted: not so much. I
  15. I thought the same, I don't think that's the last we are seeing of that kiddo... Very dark ep....
  16. Oh the Foot Skin Guy! That episode is from a couple of years ago but I loved him. Actually I recall it was a generally enjoyable HH....they were more funny than annoying with their home desires. Now I wish I saw the Buffalo episode too....
  17. Oh yeah that was absolutely skeevy...there was quite a bit that was silly too. I still liked them though. #DONTJUDGE
  18. I'm probably breaking a rule about posting about an episode I did not finish watching (was getting ready for bed) but what a HOOT this couple was last night: "G" and...I can't remember her name but a retiree-aged duo re-locating from Phoenix to Costa Rica. Their friends call them Tarzan and Jane allegedly and he even did a big ole yell Aaaaaah-aaa-aaa-aaa-aaaaaah! He had a ponytail and wore Hawaiian shirts, she had voluminous long black hair with bangs and distractingly white teeth. The homes (that I saw) were lovely...but she wanted to have horses. Now I wish I finished watching. But I was more into the House Hunters than the real estate aspect I guess LOL.
  19. No! I was also disappointed in how Mr. Chummy handled the arrest etc. These episodes so far do seem a bit different this season, I still enjoy them though but right there is not as much emphasis on the midwifery aspect....sign of the times though? Since more women were going to the hospital etc.
  20. Marie looked familiar to me--was she the same actress who played Ivy on Downton Abbey? Echoing: poor Tony. When his FIL embraced him after pulling him out of the car I just about lost it...
  21. Ha ha yes he did have a Woody Allen look to him but I did not catch a severely Canadian vibe from him? Just a very distracting vibe because either his glasses made his eyes seem huge, or they were just very large on their own. The middle apt, was sort of weird with all of that seating. Obviously it was inhabited by local folks but how many? The décor was quite...unique.
  22. I don't know if the ep last night was a re-run or not (couple buying in Lund/Malmo area of Sweden) but it was somewhat interesting. American woman and (I think) Swiss husband trying to find something accessible since the hub had suffered a stroke recently. He was pretty young and remarkably cheerful with a good sense of humor about his situation. I didn't know what the realtor was thinking showing them one apt on the second floor but the fellow was pretty much "whatever" and gave his wife his cane and proceeded to schlep up the stairs. Anyway...it was nice to see HHI getting a bit more diverse.
  23. Re: a Christmas Carol, I enjoy the Alistair Sims version most of all but do enjoy the others. Years ago I saw Patrick Stewart's live reading/performance on Broadway which was pretty great. Last night I got sucked into the vortex until midnight again. I saw the end of "The Christmas Ornament" which was almost somber in mood/palette etc. and Kellie Martin is a highlight. Then, "The Christmas Spirit" - sort of interesting plotline involving two characters in a coma whose spirits bicker over saving a small town. Olympia Dukakis is in it as well as Nicollette Sheridan which seemed like strange casting. I didn't get what he was doing with his hands/arms unless that was something that was part of the exposition during the first half-hour or so since I missed the beginning. Was that the Molly Ringwald one? If so the previews looked OK, will need to look for a re-air or what not.
  24. So, last night we watched "A Nanny For Christmas" on Lifetime and for the first time in this season's round of Christmas-movie-viewing I wish I had those two hours of my life back! It was really painful. Ugh. Dean Cain was first in the credits, but was barely in the movie LOL. Everything about it was teh suck. I had to console myself by staying up until midnight watching "Let It Snow" even though I just watched it like three days ago. DON'T. JUDGE.
  25. I did enjoy the Toy Story special. I loved Angel Kitty! Her quotes were great but my favorite part was when she started playing her horn as they were being herded to the pit. I guffawed heartily at the post-coital vibe between Reptilius Maximus and Trixie after they get played with by Bonnie (Tribe Bon-nie! Bahahaa) and Mason.
