  7. Ok, not to doubt @Kromm, I had to do some research on the opening theme to Wings, and dang it if he ain't right. My head memory was always that beautiful sunset theme with the Schubert intro. According to Wikipedia, that only lasted for 2.5 seasons. What a complete let down. ::giggle:: The good thing? The brought it back for the series finale, or so Wikipedia says. Geesh. My life is over. ;-)
  8. ::giggle:: Isaac: Dana, did you hear me? I said he was a republican. HA! This episode was great insight into even though all these people have an intensely high pressure job, they are still people with feelings and they care about each other immensely. Aaron Sorkin likes the writing a letter thing to home to give back story for everyone. He used it with great finesse in The West Wing episode "The Stackhouse Filibuster", as he did here too. Shock therapy by Natalie ... OMG, I am with the poster above who said that whole scene seemed very natural. Casey to Isaac: Gordon is a much more formidable foe than I first realized. Isaac to Casey: My daughter is dating a republican. OMG, awesome episode. BOOGIE SHOES! The dancing? Favorite part of the episode!
  9. Random thoughts. Doc and Dax, a one sided infatuation. Dax...she was a he? Ok...I will get used to it. They are called Trills? And she was Sisko's mentor. Romance is a nuisance she says. Odo...coupling means compromise, you get stuck listening to Klingon opera, he he. Sorry spacing on the married couples names. Having troubles. They have a child. Jake and Nog, another friendship starting. Kira and Quark defending Odo, more friendships. Kira kicks a lot of butt. I am guessing this was a relationship based episode. Establishing who has relationships, who wants relationships, who doesn't have a chance at a relationship and so on. Most memorable line ... "Killing your own clone is still murder!" HA! And can I just say this? Sisko has a gorgeous smile. I think this is the first time I have seen it. I hope I see more of it.
  10. Sorry Wendy :-( I did like the Goes Cerebral thing. My apologies for mixing you two up. You two are doing a great job!
  11. Did I mix them up? I liked the goes cerebral thing, whose was that?
  12. Oh GH, I am so sorry, I do like yours, but Wendy captured it. I am merging and going with Wendy. ::giggle::
  13. You guys are funny, you both created a season one. ::giggle::
  14. If the muse doesn't hit you both, just post something and we can be creative later. We can even ask others and they figure out how hopping this forum is. ::giggle:: I say a bit later on this summer, we set up a re-watch. I am doing two right now, a third is coming up soon, and then we can do this?
  15. Thank you @Willowy, I always liked the theme. I liked how it was constant throughout all the seasons. I liked how it showed some of the countryside. I know it made me want to move to Nantucket and run a small aircraft.
  16. Either/or ... have at it, both work for me! I will most likely do my edits in the morning, so discuss between you two and if I see them done in the morning, I will start my magic powers. OMG, I crack myself up.

    All Episodes Talk

Here it is on YouTube... ::giggle::
  18. Ok, let's do this, let's keep this our General Discussion thread, we can talk about ALL episodes and ALL seasons in this thread. To adhere to the guidelines I have been given, I will change the title here to "All Episodes Talk: Come Up with a Snappy Title Because I am Absolutely Horrible at That" - then, we can have SEASON threads, and why don't you @GHScorpiosRule come up with a Season 8 Thread and a snappy title. I will start listing the episodes for each season and pin them to the top with a reminder of what the rules are. Between you and @WendyCR72, come up with Seasons 1-4 too. If people can't remember the season in which an episode appeared, and want to talk about it in relationship to the season, they can come in here and ask where it is supposed to go. I will count on you two to help me direct them to the right thread. Sound doable?
  19. Well, the mere fact I grew up in Hawaii might have something to do with it. We got shows late, if at all. You know, no satellite WAY back then. ::giggle:: To name something in particular, I didn't even know about Tom and Jerry until I moved with my sister to Florida in 71, I was only 9 at the time, and that is when I saw it for the first time. OMG, totally forgot about that one! HA! I didn't watch much of Tom and Jerry, but correct me if I am wrong ... they didn't have much dialog, did they?
  20. I remember Ken writing that a few years ago, thanks for bringing it back up. He was right when he said this show isn't dated. It's funny, and holds up each time I re-watch.
  21. Totally agree @WendyCR72, I never ever thought about how putting a face to the name kinda dampened things, but you are right. I remember seeing Rita Moreno for the first time and I am like, she was on Electric Company, how can she be crazy? ::giggle::
  22. Sidney Poitier I concur, completely. To Sir With Love. Chills. Guess Whose Coming to Dinner. Goosebumps. Good choice.
  23. To answer the titles question, I think Bobby was an Eccentric Badass with a little Batshit Crazy thrown in, at all the right moments. The head games, that is what made this show so good. The games he would play with the criminals, and OMG, the headgames that were played on him (especially from Nicole Wallace). It's a fine line to grow up with people that are certifiable (I speak from experience having a brother that recently passed with diagnosed paranoia and schizophrenia), every time you deal with doctors or case workers, believe me your mind takes you places that it shouldn't. You sometimes get so involved with their sickness, you start to doubt your own sanity. Ok, so now that you know I am certifiable... ::giggle::
  24. I think that view has changed slightly @GHScorpiosRule, it's now about how the mod wants to set things up as long as we follow the guidelines we have been asked to use. So, let's compromise, what if I were to pin a post with all the episodes of the season in the particular season thread so that they might be more easily recognizable? Would that work for you and @WendyCR72?
  25. Believe it or not, and I may lose a friend over this, but Scooby Doo and The Flintstones were right up there with Bugs and his pals for Saturday mornings for me. ::giggle:: You know, I have been away from the computer since I posted last, but my mind kept visiting Looney Tunes all day (oh the power of suggestion) - and I do remember this was one show that my Mom and I would actually watch together. Her favorite was Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote. I happened to be at lunch today with her, and I asked her why she liked them so much, now, keep in mind my Mom just turned 91 and she said to me, it's because Wile E. Coyote never ever gave up. He just kept on trying. That was a very good quality. Now, a cartoon that can teach that kind of lesson to a woman that was in her 40's, early 50's at the time, deserves to be called a CLASSIC. Cartoons do don't that anymore. Or at least the stuff I see lately.
