  1. Completely agree. He KNEW he was a subject of tension between Ross and Rachel and he kept inserting himself into Rachel's life. Mark wanted to keep the tension in the relationship up because he knew Ross would escalate, and he would be able to swoop in and look like "the good guy".
  2. I've noticed for about the past year or so there are fewer chef judges and more blogger, tuber, and influencer judges on this show. Also, by the comments the judges make, you can tell they've never seen the show. Isn't it standard practice to research before you're asked to contribute to something? I'm glad Darian won. He always seemed like such a sweet soul to me. I don't mind these one and done episodes. It's a nice change of pace especially if they're bringing past contestants back.
  3. Good catch. I'm fairly certain the only things in his disguise box were a pair of jeans and a toothpick.
  4. I had been procrastinating watching the rest of the episodes because I'm bad with endings. If I don't watch a thing, I can pretend it's not over. I know it's weird, but I can't help it for some reason. Anyway, I watched the last four back to back. This season was a little disjointed for me because the police story lines didn't match the wacky hijinks stories. Ignoring the police-related stories, I really enjoyed this season. I thought Renewal plus The Last Day was the perfect way to end the season. This cast is amazing, and I'm glad they got to make the show for as long as they did.
  5. I think the Boyle Farm was Mindy St Clair's house from The Good Place. The earlier version of Schrute Farms (a la Schrute BnB) was filmed at Disney's Golden Oak Ranch in Olivia's house (pictured a post above). White with green trim, wrap around porch, and a gray roof. https://goldenoakranch.com/the-location/olivias-house/. Season 9 (and I think 8 for Garden Party) was a different house. Here's a bad shot, but you can see the house, trim and roof are all different colors. Here's the house from The Good Place. I guess this house is filmed pretty regularly in tv and movies. Here's the same house from a Progressive Commercial. (It's the one where the Progressive gang comes out of a corn field.)
  6. Thought this was adorable and wanted to share. https://twitter.com/kristenschaaled/status/1439264046369304577
  7. Yep. That's it! Great find. Thank you for sharing.
  8. I've watched the first two episodes of the aftershow. Episode 1 was okay, but episode 2 was pretty funny. I think it's because of Kayvan. He seems like a hysterically funny person in real life. It's still really watchable though and are typically only 10 minutes long.
  9. Everything Nadja does is gold. Any woman who has been the only female friend in a group of friends can totally relate. Dudes get all weird when another girl comes around; always expecting catfights or something. I really hope Nadja finds a group of female vampires to hang out with. Nadja doll is excellent company (of course), but I really think Nadja could use some interaction with smart women. Maybe she and the Guide will get sick of the dudes' shit and start running the council. I think that would be really fun to watch. Also, I think that's probably why I love the kitchen scene in Brain Scramblies. We don't get to see Nadja interacting with alot of women and that scene was such a unique interaction for her.
  10. I've had several female coworkers do all of the above over the years. When I was the same age as women having their first kids, there was a group of four women that were pregnant the same time. They didn't really do much work the last half of their pregnancies because they all hung out together doing baby preparation stuff. When they got back to the office after their maternity leave, they didn't do any work for about the next year either because all they did was talk about baby stuff. Considering Jim and Pam worked in a bull pen where there would be a variety of smells throughout the day including Dwight eating eggs (yuck), I actually thought they were reasonable in their requests in comparison to what I've personally experienced.
  11. Echoing what everyone else said. I'm so glad this show is back! I pause and rewind quite frequently because the backgrounds, costumes, props, etc. are all so rich with comedy. This is such a great show. I didn't notice the women walking around on their hands during the dress fitting scene until the second watch. Their costumes looked amazing and you can barely see them on the bottom half of the screen. One thing I did notice is that Lazlo-as-Nandor is doing exactly the same hand gestures as actual Lazlo. They look quite at home on Lazlo, but ridiculous on Nandor, and it's hysterical! It reminds me of this scene from The Birdcage.
  12. My husband got me a couple of Nadja items for my birthday and I was overjoyed! They're amazing and I wanted to share. 🥰 This is Nadja and Nadja doll. They're separate dolls and individually made when ordered. Here's the Etsy shop that made them. I'm quite tempted to buy more things. They're all so adorable! https://www.etsy.com/shop/PlanetGloom?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=839874855 He also bought me a print of the Nadja in the gold outfit in the opening credits and framed it. It's really high quality. No idea how he found this one. Sorry. I'm still on the lookout for an actual Nadja doll. I really, really hope one exists someday and I can purchase it.
  13. I'd skipped watching episode 5 until after episode 6 aired because I intended to watch both back to back to finish the season. I couldn't get past the opening scene. When Nicole started her fake sympathy crap with the crocodile tears, I had to turn it off. I came into this show excited because it had been recommended by celebrities whose work I admire, but I absolutely cannot watch the toxic parts of humanity for entertainment. There's enough of that in actual reality and using what little free time I have to be reminded that trash people exist is not my jam. I tried to like this show, but I just can't. My hat's off to those who enjoyed it.
  14. I guess this show has decided to abandon its original theme, that Ted can turn underdogs into winners. I find it really strange how lost Ted's character has gotten. I do really like this show and the characters, but it seems to be meandering a bit. Also as close a Ted and Beard are, there is absolutely no way Beard does not know about Ted's panic attacks. Roy's treatment of Nate this episode was as expected, and it was lovely. I really do enjoy people with Roy's personality. There's no bullshit, no drama, and you always know exactly where you stand with them. The world needs more people like Roy and fewer people like Jane. Edited to add: I'm with everyone else. Sam and Rebecca are a big "no" for me, especially since she's his boss.
  15. In reality, I absolutely agree with what you're saying, but in tv shows, it's fairly common for the audience to want the two leads together regardless of relationship status. I don't want Ted and Rebecca together, and I'm one those people that agree platonic opposite sex relationships need to be more commonly shown. I don't see anything sexist about some people wanting to see Ted and Rebecca together, people just like romance in movies and tv shows.
  16. I agree with everything you said about Nate. I'm worried about him too. I can definitely see Nate being worried that Roy would steal his spotlight as a coach, but I don't think Roy would treat Nate differently than anyone else on the team. Wasn't part of Roy's season 1 team captain arc to get Jamie's cronies to be nicer to Nate? What would make sense to me is that Roy would help Nate to stop being so worried about everyone else and stop "giving a fuck" as Roy might put it. The fourth wall break scene with that couple in the stands was weird. While it was in keeping with the "rom communism" theme of the episode, it didn't fit into this show for me, was a little jarring, and stopped the emotional momentum that had been building up. Some of the camera work was great this episode. The light on Roy's face when his phone lit up from the text in the dark and scared Ted and Isaac was hilarious. The moment when Roy stood up after fixing his knee before he walked onto the pitch as a callback to Rebecca's "getting larger" routine was excellent. I did kinda miss the three fans in the local bar this episode. I think they're really funny. Other than the weird fourth wall break, I thought this episode was fantastic.
  17. I like this show. It's cute and the characters are quirky and interesting. I'm so glad tv is starting to showcase Native Americans more in front of and behind the camera. I hope the trend continues.
  18. I liked some parts of both episodes, but overall, I thought they were just "meh" compared to typical 99 standards. The whole maple syrup lice treatment plot was way too contrived. Amy would have researched a home remedy, and it would have taken like 5 seconds on Google. Also, I googled to see if maple syrup was a lice remedy and was unable to find anything. Can they please stop with neurotic parenting stuff? You're not supposed to tip toe around a baby when they are sleeping. Getting them used to normal background noises actually helps them sleep through the night sooner because they're used to all kinds of noises in the womb. I guess Amy researches at what age Simone Biles started walking but not simple baby sleeping tips. I really wished we would have seen a drunk Holt. I feel like that could have been really funny. The room of Scullies and Hitchcocks was pretty funny. Surprisingly, I'm enjoying their relationship and contributions to the story this season so far. I thought the mouse burrito plotline would be "too soon", but I thought they navigated that topic well. It was a nice balance of current events and comedy while handling what could be controversial topics. I really liked that Jake was supportive to Charles in the first episode, and in the second episode, it was reversed. Their friendship is so sweet, and I love it when it shows they're equals rather than Charles's man crush in the earlier seasons. Edited to add: in thinking about the lice storyline, they could have used mayonnaise which is an actual treatment and still had the shower cap scene with the Scully joke, but I think it would have been funnier because it was grosser. Then to resolve Amy's story, the mayo could have made her hair shiny so she could out style AND out substance her rival. They could have finished the parenting story with her and Jake the same way without resulting into making Amy look like, as she put it, "a psycho". I do like the focus on trying to be full time working parents is hard, because it is, but I really didn't like how tropey they made it. I'm not a fan of tropey writing. It usually ends up punching down, and this time Amy was the target. I think this show is capable of doing better.
  19. I can't remember the term, but celebrities are essentially considered a different class in scientology compared to regular folks who are in the middle and sea org folks who are at the bottom. Most of the stories about torture, physical and psychological, are from sea org members. It's "easier" for celebrities to leave. Leah has talked about it a few times.
  20. We need a sad but true emoji.
  21. I didn't hear about this show when it premiered last year. I saw the promos on TBS and watched the entire season. I really liked it, thought the characters were well written and it didn't resort to typical rom com tropes. A very underrated show.
  22. I'm so sorry for your loss.
  23. I've watched everything he's been in (except the stage stuff) and his weird stuff is my absolute favorite. Swiss Army Man, Guns Akimbo, and Horns are my top three. I would have really loved to have seen him in Rosencrantz and Gildenstern are Dead. I've finally caught up on this show and I'm on the fence about it. I enjoy the actors and the guests tremendously, but I find the humor to be too mean spirited at times. I'm not a fan of punching down at all. I did not enjoy how mean Geraldine was last season, and I see shades of the same this year. Karan Soni is probably my favorite actor on the show. He had a character on Brooklyn 99 that was hysterical, and he definitely held his own in scenes with Andre Braugher. I had high hopes for this season because of the theme, but so far, it's just okay for me. I'll probably still watch because I love how unique this show is, but this season doesn't have the magic of season 1.
  24. Incognito mode works.
  25. I liked this episode. Although, I wish it had more Coach Beard, and are emergency dentists not a thing in England? I thought Phoebe's ending with the bully was a great resolution. With all the shit going in the world, it's nice to have an escape. As long as the show is in keeping with the characters, I don't give a shit if it's realistic or not.
