  1. I've been wondering what happened to Dodger from "China Beach"! His old school bus was even there on the commune. How dense is Fiona? Sean was still angry about Will finding the gun and didn't want to talk about it yet, which he explained to her a couple of different ways. But no, that's not ok, he doesn't get to be mad and not discuss it. She keeps pushing and says he should man up and talk about it so she won't have anymore sleepless nights, and then tells him it's ok to focus on his son when she doesn't like the pushback? Apparently in the Shameless universe this behavior makes Fiona so irresistable a guy will do anything to keep her.smh Why would Sean expect Fiona to care about Will finding a gun, she didn't care that Liam could have gotten one of them. Didn't Fiona go from work straight to the lawyer's? I guess she did her hair on the way there because when she left the diner it was in a pony tail, when she was at the attorney's it was curled and styled. Still don't see how Gus is the dick. Nothing was brought up about him getting a share of the house until it was determined that Fiona couldn't return the ring. Her oh well, that pawn shop guy is a prick attitude as an excuse would have pissed me off too. Easiest thing would have been to just have divorce papers delivered to Fiona. But then we couldn't have seen Fiona trying to be oh so noble until pushed to her limit. Ugh. If Gus's new girlfriend should be warned about him as husband material, Sean should take notice of Fiona as wife material as well. Did I miss where they explained what a Yurt was?
  2. I looked her up on IMDb and hadn't even recognized her as having been in 'Brassed Off'. She played one of the band's groupies, or cheerleaders if you will.
  3. I loved that they included "Golly gumdrops" in the caption with the shirtsleeves photo. I liked Edith's wedding dress, especially the scalloped lace hem. The headpiece and veil were a different story. In the shots at DA after the wedding she was wearing a different headpiece which looked a lot better. I loved the pic of Laura Carmichael chatting with Maggie Smith during a break.
  4. Too much of Frank's butt and Lip's boner issues, not enough Kev & V. Deb looked nice with the toned-down makeup and the unpoufed hair. Do the writers have any idea what direction they're going with any of these characters? This was a horrible episode, I'm so glad I watched DA yesterday and waited til today to watch this mess. Hell, Liam didn't even bother to show up to the family breakfast. ETA: Liam was at breakfast, I noticed him on rewatch.
  5. I love this sentence. Whilst looking at the Laura Carmichael and the two Marigold photos, I also saw cute ones of Michelle Dockery with the Georges, and JIm Carter with several of the kids. I'm so going to miss seeing these characters, even if most of the last season wasn't so great.
  6. This. When she saw Anna in the hallway, why didn't Daisy just ask for her help? It's funny, after the blow dryer was available and more than likely being used, Mary's hair looked the same. I remembered something Anna said in a previous episode that made me laugh. She had asked Molesley what he was doing and he replied that he was writing tests to check the children's comprehension. Anna asked, "The village children?" as if she couldn't believe they would be smart enough for that. Isn't her new babe one day going to be a student at the village school?
  7. I loved every one of Edith's outfits. That gown she wore to the surprise dinner with Bertie was gorgeous.
  8. I wasn't spoiled on the finale until i read the synopsis on the Comcast guide. Usually they're vague on things, but on this one it pretty much tells what all will happen tonight. Thanks Comcast. Assholes.
  9. Just some random thoughts after a rewatch of the episode: -Debbie had a stain on her pajama top. -I assume Erica wears a scarf because she lost her hair from the chemo. Why does she have long strands of hair coming out? Not to mention she still has eyebrows. -In the first shot of the refugee kids leaving Kev and V's, the girl refugee is not there. In the second shot (from the van) she's now walking beside V's mom (can't remember her name), and she looks straight at the camera. -Miss Taylor is the woman who tells Lip he needs to leave the dorm. You can see her first name on the nameplate as Lip leaves, it's Gloria. The office consists of Gloria and Toria. -Carl is at school and Debbie's not? -I love the snarky waitress at Patsy's (can't remember her name either). The other waitress stopping the dine and dasher was funny. -I'm worried about Aunt Francine's deviled eggs sitting out for so long. The food was already sitting out before the wedding ceremony. Wouldn't want anyone getting sick. -V took out her nice clean sheet and set it right on top of that nasty stain at the motel. I wouldn't go in that pool. That face tattoo on Steve Howey's forearm is interesting. Wonder if it's supposed to be anyone in particular. -Why would Carl give that kid's parents drugs? Just give them the money. -The hot water heater at the Gallagher's is dressed to match the window treatments. -Queenie takes the grocery items out of the bag and folds it up, next shot the bag is sitting up again and she's still taking things out of it. -I had to look up that song Caleb and Ian danced to. Ian was more animated than usual this episode. -I liked the scene with Carl and Sean. I'm starting to like Sean with Fiona more. -When Queenie told Fiona they were welcome there anytime and Fiona said "yeah I know, seeing as how the house is in my name, but thanks", the next shot is Queenie's reaction. Chuckie is also in the shot and makes a sort of smile expression like 'wow I can't believe she said that'. -Why would Fiona care if Liam came to Sean's with her, he wasn't with her the night before. -Sean's stove is one of the old green ones with the wood paneling on the knob area. -I laughed at the way Sean looked at Fiona and walked away after seeing her head lice. Fiona glumly putting bread in her mouth was funny too. -I never watched 'Twin Peaks' so I remember Sherilyn Fenn most from when she was trying to feed pizza to Buddy's fish in 'Just One of the Guys'. She's still lovely but I wish she had her hair dark. I still think she looks a lot like Ginnifer Goodwin.
  10. Isobel needs to let go of the Dickie drama and get with Dr. Clarkson. If he grows out his hair and adds a goatee he can look like his portrayer's ImdB picture. Yow!
  11. When Henry called Mary's name twice as she continued up the steps, was that supposed to be pleadingly, because it sounded more demanding and just plain creepy. I've tried, but I just don't see this great love that is supposed to exist between them. And Tom was being obnoxious constantly pestering Mary about Henry. I have a feeling Henry's days will be taken up with spending Mary's money and tinkering on cars in the garage with Tom. And Tom, do you really think proudly telling the groom on his wedding day that you were best man at both of Mary's weddings was appropriate? His glee at all things Henry is just so odd. So much hat porn this episode. I loved Mary's hat she wore to go see Matthew. So Edith does her own intricately curled hair and Mary needs a lady's maid to comb her very straight simply styled hair? Sheesh, that's what Mary's jealous about. I enjoyed the episode, not because I liked or disliked the various stories, but because things happened and characters showed more emotion than we usually see. Of course most of that emotion was directed at Mary, but whatever. Hugh Bonneville looked particularly attractive this episode. And his puppy was close by, still chewing on her basket.
  12. The subtitles were funny to me because it was so random. Did anyone notice that when Carl went and spoke to the parents of the boy Nick killed he was not using his thug dialect?
  13. Fiona obtained legal guardianship of her siblings, but she and Frank shared custody and he retained his parental rights. If he's at the house they're not going to be taken to foster care unless it's obvious there's neglect going on. Even if he's not there, unless someone calls CPS on them nothing will happen (unless the writers want it to). At least Queenie is making sure they're fed and I for one am glad to see that someone is caring for Chuckie. Carl and Debbie don't listen to Fiona anyway, and now Liam said he wanted to stay with Debbie. What is Fiona supposed to do? I doubt she'll leave Liam for the others to care for no matter where she lives. It was nice to see everyone rallying together when Fiona was trying to get the house back at the auction, now it seems once they got the house back another way, Fiona is of no use to them anymore. Debbie didn't move in with the Wexlers initially when she started working for them IIRC, she conned them into it when she learned the Gallaghers were losing their house. She was going to have to seduce Erica in order to try to keep her room there, but she got the text from Frank saying they got the house back and to come home. Exactly how much time had passed since the last episode? Fiona hadn't been back to the house yet, yet renovations had been done and the others were already living there, including Liam. Why wait to tell Debbie? I know, to have the scenes of her thinking about having sex with Erica.
  14. I'm not surprised they skipped over the details of how they bought the house back, and they've already gotten renovations done to boot. It's interesting how the dynamics have changed now that Fiona doesn't have total control of who gets to stay in the house. It's amazing how much Sherilyn Fenn looks like an older Ginnifer Goodwin. I totally cracked up at the captioning on the screen when Carl was talking to his homies at school.
  15. Nany did indicate the size of Johnny's dick on the reunion show. He came over to her with his banana while she was having makeup or hair done. She took the banana, bit off a large bit and said the remainder was the size of Johnny. Of course he followed that up with a crude response. Weisswurst actually isn't that bad, but there were a lot of them on that plate. It's contents are no worse than a regular hot dog. Anyone else notice all the flies and other insects on the food while they were eating?
  16. How old is Johnny? Food & butt pranks? Really? I used to like Leroy until the Johnny friendship and his 'I hate cats' remark. Seeing those cats coming in to eat made me sad and the one cat looked pregnant. I hope no one was mean to them. I gave myself a headache rolling my eyes at production feeding Johnny's ego and captioning him as "Bananas".
  17. Johnny, his relationship assessments and his hypocritical self can retire from challenges anytime now. Contrary to what he (and BMP) thinks, not everyone watches challenges to see him. In fact, I can see his presence keeping me from watching future shows. What's he been doing for money lately since he didn't win anything on his last two challenges? Good for Cara pointing out she sent him home, too bad it didn't shut him up. Entitled asshole. Jenna's a gorgeous girl, but she looks so much prettier with minimal makeup and her hair not overly done. Same with Aneesa. She looks better with less makeup. Oddly enough, Cara didn't have as much on as she usually does for reunions & whatnot. The lineup was odd, six teams and then Kellyanne and Abram. The host was loads better than Zuri, so much more natural.
  18. The final started out pretty good and then seemed to really fizzle. TJ's acting in that 'waiting for the train' and 'the train's not coming' mess was awful and the whole idea was ridiculous. Just tell them they've got to stand there all night. Sheesh. The guys telling them they had to leave was part of the charade, right? They said there were no penalties but I thought I saw either Mitch or Cory set both briefcases down, briefly, and maybe to get a better grip, in the background of one of the shots. I thought wearing the suits and carrying the briefcases was a unique way to complete the final, but the Franz visit and the measuring? We didn't need to see that part it was just silly. I do admire Jenna for finding a grate to vomit into out on the street, oh and thanks to the camera guy for getting us a good shot of it. Because you know we hadn't seen enough vomit by then. I know they were trying to do the Berlin tour and include the Olympic stadium, but surely they could have found a tall building where the teams had to climb the steps to the top for the finish. That would have been more grueling than a couple mile jog around the track, and the visuals of the winning team standing on top with their giant check would have been comparable to the finishes on top of a mountain. Plus the suits would have made sense running up the steps of an office building. I'm glad Cara and Jamie won. It's interesting how each team excelled in a different area: Jenna and Brianna in the endurance and games stage, Jamie and Cara (ok mostly Jamie) in the eating stage, Cory and Mitch in the puzzle. I liked Jamie pointing out to Cara that she should practice puzzles, while she's standing there being of no use to him doing a puzzle.
  19. I noticed this mostly in that shot of Fiona at the diner as Gus is leaving.
  20. I think it was Edith's feet. Plus, this sort of cuddling is not seen often on DA, even among the married characters. But I really think it was her feet. Crap. In searching for this photo I've seen things yet to happen.
  21. I'm sure Gus is aware he made a mistake marrying Fiona, but how does that obligate him to sign a paper? Either one of them could file for a divorce and it probably would be fairly easy since there is no property and no kids. Since Gus took the time to go to the diner he could've just signed the paper but 1) he'd never get the ring back and 2) the show wants him to be the villain so we'll see Fiona as a victim once again. Gus owes Fiona nothing. Fiona suggesting that Sean accommodate all of her siblings was ludicrous and her anger that he wouldn't was just as bad. He had valid reasons for not wanting them all there and it was Fiona who said that Debbie and Carl had other arrangements anyway.
  22. I first saw Matthew Goode in 'Chasing Liberty' and thought he was adorable. He was also cute with Amy Adams in 'Leap Year'. It wasn't just looks which made him adorable, it was also personality. Now in DA he looks different, not just older, but as if he had some sort of botched plastic surgery. The character is also stiff as a board, so to me he doesn't have looks or personality to represent him well. Whether it's the fault of the actor or the director, I'm not buying the sudden mutual attraction with Mary. The whole racing stuff took way too much time. More puppy, less Mary's love life!
  23. So if Fiona's morals wouldn't allow her to take $3000 from Carl for a down payment, what's she going to do with the bag of cash? I have an idea. Take some of the money, buy Grandma's ring back from the pawn shop, give it to Gus, get a divorce and stop calling him and asking for favors. If Gus didn't know about Fiona's obligations before he spur-of-the-moment married her, it's because she didn't tell him. She's an idiot for agreeing to it as much as he was for asking. How's he being a jerk, she's the one who keeps contacting him. He's under no obligation to make things easier on her. Yes Fiona, Gus is a dickwad for not jumping to do something for you when you beckon. Sheesh. Sean should take note how she treats men. I hope there's a whole lot more cash than just the price of the house in that bag. Fiona might let some of the issues go like the rodent problem, but she's going to have to replace all the pipes that Frank took and removing the asbestos should be a priority. Frank's comment, "Was hoping for that", after seeing the gender of Deb's baby was creepy to begin with but now that we know it's a girl it's even creepier. Helene deserved to be caught no matter how it came about. Since she's done this before, her comment to Lip, "Don't make this any uglier than you already have" is laughable. I don't know who this lovestruck Lip is, but the old Lip would find a way to make money off of this, maybe by suing the school for allowing this to happen. The tragic Nick and Carl scene on the porch brought tears to my eyes. It was so well acted and showed how broken Nick really is. It should have ended with Carl going to V's, and after not finding Fiona there, crying in V's arms. Then I would have bawled. One thing I don't understand about Nick's philosophy of respect. He's right to believe others should respect his property, but he helped Carl make money by threatening bodily harm on shopkeepers who didn't pay them for "protection". How is that showing them respect for their person? I liked V's interaction with the refugee girl (do we know her name?)too, but then they ruined it by exploiting her at the Alibi.
  24. When I saw Johnny in the opening it was so nice to remember that he wouldn't be in the final. Although as others have said, it would have been enjoyable to see Vince slowing him down. Brianna and Jenna lapping them on one of the loops would have been worth the price of admission. I love those two girls. They worked well together, didn't whine, and even took having to start the tire thing over again in their stride. I loved Jenna's simple "I hate beer" comment after having to drink a glass. She did what she had to do and carried on. I felt for Cara on the beer thing. I'm not as small as she is but I get filled up pretty fast on liquid. I'm sure she was miserable. I'd love to be able to see the old Road Rules shows or the early Challenges. Anyone know why they don't make all of them available to watch?
