  1. THR - 'Grey's Anatomy's' Sara Ramirez, Jessica Capshaw on Callie and Arizona's Devastating Decision
  2. Caterina interview: http://www.thetvaddict.com/2014/10/23/amelias-anatomy-private-practices-caterina-scorsone-dishes-on-her-recent-transfer-to-greys-anatomy-previews-tonights-tense-callie-and-arizona-centric-episode/
  3. How surprising said no one ever - Kelly McCreary promoted to series regular. http://tvline.com/2014/10/23/greys-anatomy-kelly-mccreary-season-11-series-regular-maggie/
  4. Alex stands up for himself! (more of that please)
  5. Agree Arizona's excuse was lame too but there were 2 big differences - her excuse was based on wanting Alex's skills as a doctor in her department and not him being lesser than Bailey and, she didn't spend the entire day talking about herself while he was trying to prepare.
  6. I just watched and thought it was well done. I really liked the way they moved in and out of the flashbacks. It was nice to see Richard have some real material instead of being comic relief. Bailey is inching up on Meredith for the character I can't stand the most. I hope there is something coming that evens her out a bit because she's insufferable as a board member already and its 1 episode. I liked Amelia and Derek, Derek and Maggie, Meredith and Maggie at the end and all of Richard's scenes. What annoyed me was that absolutely no one voted for Alex. I hate the condescending way Meredith speaks to him. When she told him that his presentation was good but not as good as Bailey's I wish he would have told her he didn't have the day to prepare because she placed her problems over him (no shock there). I also wanted him to say that at least he'd show up sober but never happen. My hope going forward is that he'll remember that Cristina was the person that believed in his abilities and that Jo is the person in Seattle who is there for him. Agree. She only thinks about herself. She doesn't consider how Derek being away from his family would be for him or how it would be for her kids to have their father gone all the time. Meredith was unstable enough to let herself drown, died, came back to life and returned to surgery a week later. So, in the world of Grey's - absolutely!
  7. I love Cristina but she made a piss poor choice of words in giving her parting speech. When hasn't Meredith been "the sun" in the marriage other than Derek accepting a once in a lifetime opportunity? Derek can get pissy but he's never been "the sun" He had to have her friends in his bed. He had to live with her friends. He declined the chief job the first time to have more time with her. He lost his clinical trial. He gave up the job at Harvard because she wanted to stay in Seattle. So yes, she would have to hire a nanny and some household help to accommodate his opportunity and to work more hours, but its a completely manageable situation. She's never had any issue with her kids being in daycare or other people watching them. There should be no "sun" in a marriage anyway. It shouldn't revolve around either person, there's a whole family to consider now. Seems that way. I think he will go to DC (briefly) unless there is some big drama to have him not go.
  8. I think Derek was an ass to Amelia but he's no more guilty than anyone else about bringing it to work. Owen was yelling, Callie was crying and Meredith was drunk. Derek wasn't alone I agree that Jo needs to say something to Alex. I'm not sure that Alex will ever push it enough with Meredith though or enough that it would actually matter. Alex was telling her to get out, that he was sleep deprived from preparing and that he needed to shower and be ready. She ignored him and continued to rant. She also has no consideration for Jo. She couldn't even be bothered saying hello to Jo when she exited the bathroom. She walked right by her. I know the whole "person" thing is big on the show but other than Meredith/Cristina I wish they'd be over it. Meredith can Skype/call Cristina or, I don't know, actually talk to her husband. What was endearing and cute in season 1 with interns isn't in season 11 when these people are 40. I agree that Bailey will enjoy being on the board probably more than Alex would have but I don't think she is more deserving. I really want who voted for who to come out at some point because I'd like to know who (assuming some did) voted for Alex. I can see Arizona and Jackson voting for Alex. I'm unconvinced that Meredith would choose Bailey over Alex for the board. How does Alex come back? Is there a spot open now that Arizona is doing a fellowship with Geena Davis (can't recall her name on the show)? Who thinks that Maggie is going to end up with the Alzheimer's gene? She can't remember names, she and Bailey talked about her gene lab and Meredith commented that the only you get in the family is Alzheimer's. Of course it will be right after she gets close to Richard just to make sure another person Richard loves is given the disease. Maybe that's how they fit storylines for both Derek and Amelia in neuro too. Derek can't do trials for Alzheimer's but Amelia can so it will set her up with something other than fighting with Derek over cases.
  9. I don't blame her either. I was commenting more on what she seems to forgive and what she continues to (seemingly) hold a public grudge against. Sarah Drew Interview
  10. LOL yes, seems doubtful. Can't let go of an actor saying they didn't get good writing yet no issue bringing back one who slammed a co-worker into a wall and disparaged another (my definition of asshole doesn't match hers). Its been so many years I don't want Izzie back. Alex has moved on and I just want his story to continue and not go back to the past.
  11. Pure speculation - perhaps this episode was done this way to give Ellen a lighter episode when her baby was about to be born? They filmed episode 2 before episode 1 and her baby is about 2 months old so it could have been around the due date. Its a big story for the season so maybe they did the big Maggie episode early for that reason. Hate her or not, the actors have always said in interviews that Shonda is great about families and working mothers.
  12. Raise your hand if you think his "one bad night" when he attempted suicide will be tied to Olivia in some way. Either her leaving pushed him over the edge or he found out/figured out that Jerry was killed by Olivia's parents and he felt guilty. Overall I enjoyed the premiere. I hope David is more in the fold this season and I'd like to see Abby stick around the WH for at least a little while to mix things up a bit. Please let them fix Cyrus' hair ASAP, that was awful.
  13. She's pregnant. Congratulations to her! I really liked the premiere. I loved how they revealed Alex's backstory. I also thought it was her imagining the future until the radio. Glad to see lots of story setup for all of them, should be a really good season.
  14. I am so surprised they won. I thought any of the other 3 could have taken it but never expected Big Hair to win the big prize. Agree. I found it refreshing to have the drama be from each team trying to finish rather than the typical backbiting. I thought it was sweet how Big Hair was all excited about seeing the baby bump. I hope the contestants they have for season 2 follow suit.
  15. Thanks for posting PatrickSwi (and thanks for typing all that up calzonafan2014!) Agree, Jackson was my thought as well. I think Laurie could be Callie's patient. Kate/Pete/Logan could be Alex and Arizona's patient. Whoever it is, I'm curious why Dr. Vara isn't doing the surgery herself. Not sure who Dr. Kelley is but Graham saying Dr. Kelley wasn't ready for the surgery before so whoever it is may be struggling.
  16. Thanks, owenhuntfan, but I just guess. No one knows what will happen for sure but its fun to guess. I can summarize the sides but won't get to it for a couple of hours. If no one posts I will later.
