No you are correct he did become Jack's stepfather. Abby used to refer to Vern as "Grandpa Vern" and honestly compared to the actual grandfather she had Vern was the best of the bunch(which doesn't take much)

Especially when her father has been on the show for nearly 35 years now.

JJ told Jack himself earlier this year. It was a non reaction but he was briefly mad at Eve then Eve brought up that he slept with Laura then Jack said he couldn't judge and its pretty much forgotten except Jennifer referenced it a couple weeks ago and that too was glossed over. I won't lie the highlight of this Jack/Eve marriage from hell is JJ's reaction to the whole thing when it does happen and Eve is his stepmommy. I did like the JJ/Jack scenes even if I did find it kind of flat only because Jennifer is making an appearance in this storyline months later when she should be in it from jump. Also Eric/Jennifer worked best as friends they shouldn't have ever been an item in the first place. Its the first time I've enjoyed Eric in ages.

Yet Jack does nothing about it. I mean he wants a relationship with his son yet knows that he hates Eve and finds her toxic as does Adrienne etc and yet still stays with her. I would think he would at least question really question why they think this.

Rafe? Sure but she's already been there and done that does Kate usually backslide in her relationships? I'm trying to think of a pairing of hers where she actually had a second go around... I think its sincere unless she also wants to bang Tripp..... The JJ/Jennifer hug got to me awwww....

I do like this time around that Jack isn't chasing Jennifer begging her to forgive him this at least is different unfortunately him being all about Eve isn't that much better but it beats his last return. I just would prefer he interact with a variety of other characters not named Eve. Justin/Adrienne should be in this story way more than they are. Same with Brady, Victor, Maggie. I don't think Nicole has amnesia I think she believes she's Kristen and becomes fixated on Brady much to Eric's chagrin. No way are we having these Brady/Eric scenes for nothing... Plus this show doesn't like happy couples so they will drag Eric/Nicole out as long as possible.

I think Hogan Sheffer might have been writing at that point. However it would've been a better story if Chelsea was a con woman. Especially since she's barely referenced at this point.

The mime was the Zack conception. Ciara was an off screen ONS between Bo/Hope I liked Patrick even Hope/Patrick wouldn't have been opposed to them sharing a child especially if I had to be subjected to Chelsea being a resurrected stillborn who mowed Zach down......

The only thing better is if CR was Eve then it would've been a great use of history because Jennifer walked in on Jack/Eve in bed together but nothing happened there.

Ah but JJ would be lying to himself considering he slept with Eve multiple times and only ended it when Jennifer found out...

I don't think all of them are that way a lot of them are though. John isn't like that for one and others but we probably don't get a lot of airtime with them(see Eli)

See these are the type of stories I prefer Jarlena in not ones where a woman from John's past is a lunatic trying to kill Marlena. Unless one of them could actually succeed I don't care.

Roxanne I loved her and honestly I wish they brought her back to be a real love interest for JJ instead of this Haley chick. They had chemistry and she also knew Jack/Jennifer/Eve so she would've been a far better fit for this storyline. We would be spared this lame immigration crap.

I wonder if they might go a Rafe/Lani/Eli triangle. Honestly this should've happened way before this. Jack/Adrienne have a scene together ... if only Justin was with her. I would like it if she brought up that Jack is willingly marrying someone that had an affair with his son.

I wouldn't mind this being Ron's mirror if this story in general wasn't so nonsensical to begin with. We barely know Haley and yet she's been given just about every sympathetic trope you could muster. Suicide Attempt that's an afterthought, dead parents, now an undocumented immigrant people want to disappear. She's been around for years, speaks decent English and had the means to become a citizen legally she had plenty of means to do so. JJ offered her a reasonable solution to set her up with an immigration lawyer and she refused. Instead she rather marry someone else's boyfriend to stay in the country and I'm supposed to feel bad for her? Er nope. Its hard to find her remotely sympathetic here when she doesn't do anything proactive in her own right to fix her problems yet is willing to drag anyone else into it. Her story isn't really like the other undocumented immigrants who I doubt have a relative who's a lawyer that could just get the proper legal paperwork in the first place but we would be spared this stupid story if they actually used logic. As a kid of immigrant parents this is just annoying above all else.

Sort of but we knew Aiden had a kid in Chase. I like the idea of Ted/Greta being previously married it would add a layer to his relationship with Hope.

Well Gabi knows Stefan better than Brady does one would think that possibility would've dawned on her first to keep her from going along with this. She wants to though because she's attracted to him(or we're supposed to think she is anyways) Actually I rather see Brady/Chloe. I preferred Phillip with Stephanie myself. However I can't put this all on Ron these two have been back for the past decade and none of the writers wanted to revisit this relationship. Instead we've had Brady's revolving bed and Chloe being paired with dudes I never thought she sparked with. For some reason soaps these days don't think that couples can actually be interesting together. In the past that wasn't always the case. I mean angst is good but you need to be given a reason as to why they are actually good together. The couple actually needs to be together for that to happen...
