  1. Who are Rebecca Belloto and Nolan Dunbar? Are they new to the writer's room? Hmm... ER is excited about Poppy things and new writers are tackling the aftermath of the BMD kidnapping. Not liking the sound of 4x16, so far. But I guess, Cupid's back so that's something. I wonder if, aside from Oliver and Felicity's break-up/break-up aftermath, this might also turn out to be the episode where Poppy and Oliver sleep together then she finds out about her brother afterwards (thanks to Conklin), in the flashbacks? Maybe that's what's got ER so #happy #it'shappening. Wait. If that salty paparazzo caught the filming, does this mean that Felicity is filming outside/in the field with Oliver, Diggle, and Thea? Is she still in the wheelchair? Or are they all just out and about, and Cupid comes along? Isn't Cupid still under ARGUS? Did she escape? I have so many questions... I wonder if he'll post pics soon.
  2. Damn at how Laurel treats SCPD's finest in that comic preview. Assertive does not equal abrasive, girl. Interpersonal skills, Laurel, look into it. Don't think so? I don't think we've ever had a "Chang" on the show before. Could Chang be part of ARGUS, maybe? And the information they're looking for is related to Deadshot? Yeah, I know the DCCU, apparently, has exclusive rights to him. The scooped-up eyeball just makes me think Shadowspire might be interested in something Deadshot-related. Or, if not him, then Deathstroke. Maybe Shadowspire is looking for Slade.
  3. Congratulations to you sports people that your team won (or the team you hated lost). I'm really only here for the barbecues and food spreads during most sports events stuff. YES! Vince Gilligan! He wrote and co-wrote the most number of episodes that I loved and still repeatedly watch on Netflix (Bad Blood, Pusher, Christmas Carol, Memento Mori, Small Potatoes, Dreamland I and II, the list goes on...) Man, it would've been awesome if he got to pen something for the revival. I was so extremely happy that Breaking Bad was such a huge award-winning success for him. Not only was The X-Files responsible for making me more aware of which writers write which episodes on shows but it was TXF that made me start paying attention to episode titles, as well. Then again, TXF was my gateway into fandom on the internets. No matter how annoying that dial-up connecting sound was and how long it took for Geocities, Angelfire, and Gossamer to load, I was going to get my fandom fix damnit! It's just really nice to read/see/be part of a community of people who were/are into the same things I was/am. Thank goodness for TWoP (RIP) and this board, too. Not only do you guys keep me well-informed about everything Arrow, y'all keep me sane and entertained. :)
  4. FOX is a POS network. Those suits at FOX actually required GA to stand or walk a few steps behind DD for the first few seasons. And they didn't even want GA to be cast as Scully and were pushing for a blonde bombshell, instead. For all his faults as a writer, I'm always thankful that Chris Carter fought to keep Gillian. I think the suits even tried to get her re-cast when she got pregnant--but CC and co. spun her pregnancy into the abduction plotline, which turned out so well for the show since that whole thing churned out some of the strongest episodes of the mytharc. But GA really fought hard back then, with no help from DD or CC, just to get on even footing salary-wise. So, it doesn't surprise me that FOX tried to lowball GA's salary, again, for the revival. It's just a good thing that she and DD have a better relationship now. His support, and the trufax that they can't do TXF without Scully, probably helped a lot more in negotiations this time around. I'm guessing the Darin Morgan episode is the one entitled "Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-monster" on my DVR schedule? That's gonna be great! I loved the episodes by the Morgan brothers (and James Wong). I actually prefer some of the MOTW episodes to the mytharc ones.
  5. I was thinking... is Calculator, for sure, going to be in 4x13? I know he'll be in 4x12 'cause he's going to be manipulating Roy. And I know that the title of 4x13 ("Sins of the Father") definitely suggests Daddy Issues bonanza but, maybe, the 2nd episode Tom Amandes will be in is 4x14? Like, it turns out he escapes/comes back and is the big bad of the episode planting those bombs and threatening the debate in 4x14, NOT Darhk. After all, Ruve is in the debate, too. Unless, of course, Ruve signed off on the debate threat to somehow make herself seem sympathetic and endear herself as a Mayoral candidate. Maybe, Calculator is the one who outs Oliver's secret in an attempt to be a father to Felicity. Sort of "Do you really know who you're marrying"/"I don't want you marrying my kid" kind of deal. From the episode description of 4x13, it just seems like it'll be Nyssa/LoA-heavy with the sinning fathers from the title being not-at-all-dearly departed Ra's and Malcolm, since he's apparently concocting whatever inane plan to "help" Thea with her bloodlust again.
  6. I don't think the magic box was in the armoire. Darhk sent off the magic box to the H.I.V.E. scientists to be tested on using the dwarf star alloy particles Palmer left behind when he was a Cheeto. I think it was that weird totem/statue that he chanted to/made blood offerings on that was in the armoire.
  7. Damn. This board. When it comes to that odd show within this show, That's So Laurel, I feel like I can always trust all of you to be ready with those receipts! Hee.
  8. I thought it was the monolith or another version of it. Same substance, isn't it? The monolith reverted to some swishy black tar-like stuff every once in a while (or when it eats people to throw them into another dimension) then goes back to solid state. Sometimes, it's continuously swishy when it's being vibrated, as far as I can remember. I thought the black stuff in Agent Carter was just like a purer version of the whatever the monolith's made of that's why it's constantly swishy and changing shape. I could be wrong, though.
  9. I guess SA was wrong about DC barring the use of the DCCU characters on the show. Amanda Waller is in next week's episode. She was with Lyla in the promo for A.W.O.L. Also, I'm betting that this scene with the camera zooming out from Oliver's so very sad/worried face in the midseason sizzle reel is the moment when he finds out that Darhk knows about his BM and kid. I really hope it won't happen but it looks very likely that he's going to get publicly outed at the debate since that's the same suit and tie that Oliver was wearing when he wishes Ruve/Mrs. Darhk good luck before the debate. I'm guessing this is the episode that Guggie was talking about, where they'll "explore the virtues of truth" or whatever, when he was trying to do spin control and manage the backlash of 4x08. I honestly don't care about how Oliver will feel but more how Felicity (and Thea) will react to this. Ugh. Either Oliver finds out about Mr. and Mrs. Darhk knowing about his souper sekrit love child in this scene OR the dramatic camera zoom out is because he finds out he's standing on a pressure plate connected to a bomb (which is why the theater gets evacuated and the Lances are dodging explosions in a basement) and the trigger is being controlled by someone threatening to detonate said bomb unless he tells the truth about all his "sins." Oh, wait. That was a Smallville episode. Heh. ... If this pressure plate bomb and truth-telling rip-off that happened to Ollie in that Smallville episode is actually what happens to Oliver in the debate in 4x14, Imma laugh my head off.
  10. This was such an eye-opening episode in that I truly, finally, definitively realized that without Felicity, this show is not something I would regularly watch. I didn't really react much and just watched unmoved about anything until Felicity showed up on the screen. EBR did great with what little time she was given. Donna felt a little wasted in this episode, too. I feel like Donna's hallway scene with Oliver should've been something more but I was kinda annoyed with Oliver, by that point, so all I could muster was a sigh of half-boredom/half-frustration. I know that avoidance is Oliver's MO but man... Oh, wait. Lyla made me happy. And Diggle's anger about Felicity's condition. The Diggles are legit the BEST. And NO, the Diggles (except for, possibly, Andy) are absolutely not in the grave/dying. Also, Thea continues to be awesome. Love her.
  11. It probably is a trap. It might even be a very obvious trap but Laurel can't really tell when huge clues/warning signs are staring her right in the face (will never let it go that she never recognized her own sister's cleft chin 5 inches from her face). She won't know 'cause no one ever tells her anything. At least, until the villains ('sup Slade!), tell her what's the what. And by then, it might be too late and it's time for the episode with the grave and oh no. Oops.
  12. Maybe Laurel threatens to expose his wife and his daughter, if he doesn't submit. Maybe Team GA finds the totem that Darhk uses and it weakens him enough to put handcuffs and for Laurel to lawyer her way to a conviction. Maybe she burns down the evil cornfield. Whatever it is, Laurel will figure it out. She's the justice you can't run from. I'm intrigued by this spoiler, though. If only because it's made me start taking the Laurel in the grave specs about 40% more seriously than I did before. He says "Don't thank me. You're ashamed. Now we're even." I don't really get it but I'm guessing that's laying some of the the foundation of what went down in Afghanistan. Why would Diggle be ashamed to ask for help? Because he beats up Andy early in the episode, Team GA can't figure out anything, and now Digg has to ask him for help?
  13. ^ That's BamBam's episode (14). Shaky cam is shaky. Ugh. Is it bad to mix Dramamine with alcohol? I think they're trying to escape whatever's happening at the debate. Those chairs look like the chairs in the audience, anyway. They could be backstage/at the basement of the theater.
  14. She seemed to have the accent in the first SS trailer they released (at comic-con) though it did kinda disappear in this one. I don't really mind. As long as Margot Robbie portrays the attitude and comes off as a very believable Harley Quinn, I'm good. So far, I've enjoyed her bits in the trailers. Yeah, me too. I hope it gets huge box office numbers and good to great reviews. I think a lot's riding on the success of WW's movie. Not only for DC but Marvel will, for sure, cite her movie (if it fails) as ~reasons why we'll never get their female heroines on the big screen. Didn't Marvel already push back the Captain Marvel movie? If WW fails, Feige and co. just might get cold feet about heroines and feel justified in never giving Black Widow her movie ever.
  15. That Suicide Squad trailer! Awesome. I actually think I'll enjoy the Suicide Squad movie way more than BvS. And, just judging from the Youtube hits and comments, SS seems to have a lot more buzz than BvS. It would actually be hilarious if SS ends up making more money than BvS, though that probably won't happen. But the Wonder Woman footage they released was everything I wanted. It looks good. I'm really hopeful that DC will get her right.
  16. Oh, yeah. You're all correct. That's definitely not Waller. I don't see anyone standing next to gun pointing guy, though. Even if he was blocked, that's a very tiny space for shooter guy to stand in next to those tables. I still don't think that's Lyla getting shot at. I think it's trick editing for the trailer 'cause the cut was very abrupt. Right-handed gun pointer is definitely not the same dude as Left-handed shooter, though. At least, I don't think so. Maybe, lady on the ground is the one who got shot.
  17. ^ Laurel's actually bleeding from the head in that scene. She touches the side of her face and there's blood in her hands. Regarding the guy pointing a gun at Lyla, I don't think it's the guy in the screencap above. I think they did some trick editing and that guy pulling the trigger is shooting somebody else (not Lyla). The guy pointing a gun at Lyla has a different haircut, from what I can see, than the one who pulled the trigger. Also, guy pulling the trigger is holding the gun in his left hand while guy pointing gun at Lyla is holding it in his right hand. No, I absolutely did not obsessively pause/play the trailer. Both are probably from Shadowspire since it looks like A.R.G.U.S. HQ is going to get attacked. I think that's Waller on the floor in the scene with Lyla and dude doing the gun pointing.
  18. Was the shot of Katana and Nyssa fighting, the move that Nyssa takes in 4x12? She seeks out Tatsu and trains with her/tries to convince her to help take the LOA away from Malcolm? Does she know Tatsu? Also, is that Roy beating up/fighting with Curtis at PT? Did Calculator send Roy to steal something from PT? That would be my thought, too. Maybe the consequence of using Thea's bloodlust against Darhk will present itself as Thea either becoming easily controllable by the powers Darhk is using (not necessarily by Darhk himself but whatever the voodoo is instead of the bloodlust controlling her) or becoming severely weakened when Darhk's evil powers totally overtakes her, hence the fainting. Maybe that's part of the moral consequences Oliver (and Thea) need to take into consideration--if they use Thea, they risk her/her health. That would make Poppy both a master diver and a master archer. Because, of course, she is. I'm leaning towards thinking that's not a hallucination, though. It kinda looks like Reiter is killed by the arrow/hit in the chest while Oliver is strung-up in chains behind him. I think it's actually Shado's twin or, if we're really doing voodoo and bringing everyone back to life this season, the real Shado. What are the chances that Amanda Waller recruited Shado/Shado's twin and sent her to help Oliver back at Lian Yu? And that's how she got ahold of Yao Fei's hood again (Waller found the hood in Coast City)?
  19. Ugh. For reals? Her spot next to Oliver (and Mulder and Scully) on my shelves has been polished and ready for weeks! Thanks. I'm gonna go to my comic store and/or the nearest Hot Topic sometime this week to look for the Felicity Funko and, if I find it, I'll try to get a refund from GameStop for that "early" pre-order BS they pulled... Or, maybe, I'll keep both anyway and give the extra one to my nephew. At least, that's one more sale for the Felicity Funko, I guess.
  20. That dress is a little too sheer for my liking but I thought EBR looked good in it, regardless (and her pics with Aisha Tyler were very cute). I was thinking that it couldn't be that bad but then I went to the link and... oh, honey. It's, also, been really nippy in LA at night so that dress seems like the worst idea to wear. I just don't understand fashion.
  21. Eww, Miles Teller is in the running? In what universe is that douchecanoe (NSFL) even remotely as attractive and charming as Harrison Ford in his prime? Echoing the thoughts that Disney casts some unknown, who really fits the role, instead of whichever white bread actor has the hottest name right now.
  22. The house that Thea, Oliver, and Anarky are in looks a lot like Darhk's house. I wonder if Team Arrow, unwittingly, leads Anarky to Darhk's house and Anarky attempts to kill Darhk's family/set fire to the house. I feel like Anarky, probably, harbors some resentment against Darhk, too, for what happened to him. As unhinged as Oliver will be because of what happened to Felicity, I doubt he'd be so far gone that he'll kill or threaten the life of a child--even if it is Darhk's. Maybe GA and co. actually end up saving Darhk's kid and that's why Darhk doesn't end up killing him with his magic mojo right then and there ("I want to be clear..." that, even though you saved my daughter, I'm still going to destroy the city/beat you up?). Then, Darhk would kinda owe GA a debt and, at least, Oliver will find out that Darhk has a weakness/something that is very important to him that can be exploited, should he choose to, later on.
  23. I find Kara really adorable but, yeah, Supergirl (and Martian Manhunter) seem to be a little too much superpower overload for Arrow. Maybe Alex and the DEO could crossover with something having to do with Lyla/Diggle and A.R.G.U.S.? Though, I wouldn't be opposed to CEO Cat Grant meeting CEO Felicity Smoak. My two faves from both shows meeting each other would be kinda cool, for me. Also, if this crossover happens, it is imperative that there's footage of a shirtless salmon ladder-off featuring Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, and Mehcad Brooks. For science.
  24. Yeah, I was tentatively hopeful about Batman v Superman but I've had to readjust my expectations by quite a lot, too, after seeing a tv spot for it where Batman attempts to run over Superman with the Batmobile. I legit burst out laughing when the Batmobile bounced off Superman, who barely even felt it, and crashed into a pole. And then Batman did that "Do you bleed?" line after his attempted hit&run and crashing his car with Superman giving him the most WTF look before flying away. So hilariously terrible.Wonder Woman remains the biggest reason I'm even going to watch this movie. Also, Henry Cavill's face/profile. He pretty.
  25. Did some searching and, apparently, on Batgirl v.3 #11, Babs/Oracle gets captured by the Calculator and he does something to her that makes her hallucinate that she has full use of her legs, she's sleeping with Dick Grayson, and has a perfect life with the BatFamily. I think, it was pretty much kinda Oracle's version of Superman's "For the Man Who Has Everything," where the hallucination is everything they've ever wanted but, in the end, they come back to reality and find that it's been ripped away from them. Great dramatic story but a bit depressing, too. *sigh* Anyway, eventually, with the help of Wendy/Proxy, Stephanie Brown/Batgirl rescues Oracle from Calculator. If the hallucination happens in the episode with Calculator in it and Felicity is a hybrid of Oracle/Proxy, maybe she ends up saving herself from Calculator/her Dad. I really hope the 4x11 SFX scene is Felicity figuring out the magic tech that will help make her walk again, instead of it being the hallucination. I really want Felicity to be the one to come up with the tech instead of Curtis.
