  1. i'm sick with a cold and sinus pain. i did everything in my power to avoid crying as it would make my pain worse, but, gosh darn the love between those two and the support and love of their families was too much. i'm not suprised that rachel thought solely of cristina and angel, elena was anxious and megan thought only of herself. hearing rachel tell cristina that she thought of her as a sister was so heartwarming. neither of them have sisters and you can tell this friendship is pure. bea and mariano are truly wonderful people. they were in a new country with a special needs child alone and made it. they had not familial support, they had to find a new support system and they did. what a strong couple and they raised 3 beautiful children. seeing the boys help cristina make the calendar and having so much fun with her. that's a true family. god bless the sanz family. angel's grandmother is a pure doll. she loves angel with every fiber of her being and you can see how hard it is for both of them to let him go, but, they must. i'm glad the mother/son dance was done with her and not his mother, who didn't raise him. those two have the best support system. i can see the marriage lasting. they will have trials and challenges, as we all do, but, they trust their parents and the guidance given to them. i can see them going to any one of the parents/grandparents and getting good advice that they will follow. they were married on a thursday. i found that a little odd. i'm glad so many people could come during the week. they were married one day after my 20th anniversary and the whole show i kept thinking 'was my anniversary on a friday' i was pretty sure it wasn't but didn't look it up until now. i was a bit mad that the hairdresser tore apart the flower that bea's mother brought over from spain from bea and mariano's wedding. i would think they'd want to keep in intact, but, bea seemed to let it go so i did. they are such an easy going couple, it's no wonder they have a great family. how cute that the tie mariano wore at his wedding matched cristina's. it's so nice when things can connect like that.
  2. I read they went to Spain for their honeymoon. I'm curious if they were able to travel alone internationally, or, as I'm guessing, her parents went with them to help them navigate the travel. I know her family is there and she has spent summers there, however, that's a bit different than travelling there on your own, even for neurotypical people.
  3. catching up on season 3 now. i am a christian, but, i am with raymond. if you can't explain why you are baptising your child then you shouldn't do it. the happiest day in my recent life was seeing my grandboys dedicated *see my pic* but i feel there should be meaning behind the ceremony and it should be up to the parents of the child, not the grandparents. not just, i am doing it because everyone in my family has done it. again, please forgive lack of caps as my shift key is broken. i can't even do parentheses.
  4. @Grammy6 how wonderful that you took the time to learn about your student's condition. i know most educators care about their students and want the best for them, but, i can't see them all taking the time to read up on the condition. you are a blessing to your students. thank you for all you do. i agree sam would make a great speaker. he really seems to think logically about his tourettes and how it affects him. '
  5. 1. my shift key is broken so the only way i can capitalize is by turning caps lock and off, and that is a huge pita. please bear with me. 2. i tried to revise my previous post since i accidentally hit enter too early and my post makes me look like a total arse. but the revision wouldn't save. 3. i can't take stress mom for long i totally agree with dreadfulleigh. 4. i love love love kristen she seems like she tries so hard and has a great attitude. i hope college is going well for her. 5. the red headed teen, can't remember his name yet. i like that he tries to pass off his issues as not that big of a deal and it may seem like it to him, but, the therapist had a point that it is severe, in it's own way. i guess a sniffling tic is not as bad as a throwing or cursing tic, but, it's still stressful and when you try to hold it in you can make it worse. share your burden with your parents, that's what they are there for and they can't help you if they don't know. i rarely watch live tv, preferring to dvr so i can go through commercials and binge watch all my dvr'd shows on the weekend. but, this show makes me want to watch live. the young man with the army wife as a mother, who also has tourette's, may dislike playing cello so much, but, i can kind of see mom's point. the playing reduces his tics while he's playing. the focus he learns here may help him in other areas. i wonder of the percussion playing in band helps kristen, as well. she seems to love marching band. i wonder if she got into the band in college, too.
  6. I'm watching 3;20 Enemies Foreign and Domestic. Toby tells the Russian journalist he's 44.
  7. I've had a hard time imagining them in Indiana since I found out the train scene is from SW PA. In fact, the street where the train departs from was flooded in June. The businesses on that road are still trying to recover. A restaurant on the corner employs my SIL as chef and it's still under reconstruction.
  8. Try Newsroom on Prime Video if you have it. It's a Sorkin show that ran for 2 1/2 seasons (3rd season was 6 episodes I think). My husband walked in, heard the dialogue and knew it was from Sorkin due to my fanatical West Wing love. 20 years ago you would have been grounded (in fact my daughter was) for daring to mouth off and pick a fight on Wed. night. Hubby walked in on my rewatch last night and knew to hush it as soon as he saw what was on. We have set, firm rules in our house...DO NOT INTERRUPT MOMMA WHEN WW IS ON!!!
  9. I didn't mind the pics of my kids with Santa if they didn't mind. However, we missed so many with my son when he was little. His birthday is Christmas day and having so much to do getting ready to celebrate both holidays in one was a nightmare. We would generally go to the mall, see the long line and then head to Build A Bear instead. He enjoyed himself so much more. However, one year before my grandmother died we hired the mall Santa to come to our house on Christmas eve and surprise all the kids in the family. We had small gifts for him to pass out. We offered him a coke, which he declined due to diabetes, but, darn if he didn't want a beer! I felt bad that he tripped on the step coming into the house. But, it was a great day and we probably got a pic with all the kids together, but, we've moved so many times I wouldn't know where to find it. My grandmother thoroughly enjoyed seeing all her great grandkids joy when he walked in.
  10. I like that the friend of Hiromi pointed out that it's good to try to separate while they are still alive and can be a distant support and see how Elena does, rather than Elena being basically thrown into the deep end when they die. It doesn't sound like they have other children to watch out for her. Elena seems the most self-sufficient in that she says she can handle being in a different country if she's in a group home. She's been in one for years and feels comfortable with it. I think she'll do okay when they pass. She's come so far in the past few years. Off topic, I have son on the spectrum, high functioning and I'm unsure if he'll ever be totally on his own. It scares me. Although I have another child, she doesn't seem interested in being his support. She's more interested in her in-laws. Hopefully, it changes. Rachel's birthday was awesome. Her friend was very sweet to make a drink that incorporated her family heritage. And getting her dad out of his comfort zone showed her that no matter how old you are and what your fear is, you can overcome it. She has the sweetest parents. I did feel bad for Kris. She knows Megan won't be okay on her own, but, she's willing to let her try. That scripted "overstock.com" scene at the end scared me. I hope they don't really have credit cards that let them order anything they want. I understand they need to be able to manage money, but, it seems with those choices they can't yet. Pillows are understandable. A hot tub is not!
  11. I am and I just requested a new topic to discuss. Those onions were chopped in my kitchen, too. Darn sneaky kitchen elves.
  12. My husband had to sign off my tubal ligation in 1999, in Florida. It could be determined by state. Doctors should get the spouse's permission, if only to cover their a$$.
  13. And now I have his voice in my head. Thanks. Although, we could do worse than having Cheech in our heads. We still quote their movies to our kids. My daughter has taken to quoting the "finklestein kids" line to her son. If you don't know it, search it on youtube. It's a classic. I don't have instagram, but, Ember in that cover photo above in front of the cabin is cute.
  14. So . . . it was only Jer's grandfather's birthday? If grandpa is Amy's dad, did she adopt the other three? LOL. The point Literata was making was that it wasn't Audrey's grandfather, it was Jeremy's. Of course he is the grandfather of all 4 of the Roloff kids, the grandfather in law of the married 3 and the great grandpa to Ember and Jackson.
  15. 20 years of marriage and 33 years since we became friends. It's not always easy, but, the laughter is what makes it bearable. I wouldn't trade a day with my husband for winning the lottery. BTW that's Audrey's hand. You can see the polish matches the pic above.
  16. 9 is too old, but weaning by 2 is pretty common.
  17. Well she did say she learned her lesson about putting him down in just a diaper. I doubt she'll do it again. It's happened to many of us. When my oldest was a baby o left the tub of wipes in her crib after a morning change. Woke up to her red face and an empty tub. Never did it again.
  18. I'm not sure how I feel about Michael coming back, but, Mateo grieved as well and I fear how his return will affect Mateo.
  19. She has mentioned being at the elder Roloff's farm house and knowing the kids when they are younger. She claims to have been to the farmhouse since the birth of the grandkids.
  20. Changes wasn't released in the U.S. Right after it was released in the UK was when Ozzy was hurt and Kelly didn't do any follow-up.
  21. When the show started, Amy was working several part time jobs to make ends meet. Matt was unemployed. So, you can't say she was a stay at home mom while he busted his butt working long hours. Amy's parents had to pay for Zach's braces because Matt couldn't provide. He does not compare to a dr, trial attorney or businessman in any way shape or form.
  22. Saw this on Facebook thought of these two. Credit...Watermark Church
