  1. Regarding Jen's control over the cake eating scene. I think she knows Bill and he probably had a look on his face like he was going to do something. She did allow him to give her a bite, but, was very fearful that he would make a mess. That vow renewal was absolutely beautiful and such a touching scene of recommitment and happiness that they came through the past year and are ready for whatever the future brings. They know they can and will make it through anything. I smiled a little when I heard that he proposed on Mount Washington. That spot is my absolute favorite spot in Pittsburgh. Every time someone comes to visit us, we take them there for the view of the city and a picture. When her best friend was there all I could think of was Meredith & Christina in Grey's Anatomy. I wanted them to say to each other "you're my person." But, we all know that Bill is Jen's person. I renewed my vows at 4 years. I was married by a notary on the beach the first time. Our renewal was in the church and we didn't include our children. However, my Godfather/Uncle walked me down the aisle. I'm glad I did it because he passed away 3 months later unexpectedly. He was happy to see us (re)married in a church. I hope this show gets renewed. The Roloffs were never the "completely happy" and stable couple that we see in the Kleins. The Roloffs did the show for the money. I'm sure the Kleins are happy to have the money and whatever perks they get, but, with their salaries they could easily buy their house with all the amenities and even go through fertility treatments. When the show started they were in their first year of marriage. They had just moved to TX and had plans to save up to find property and build a house. We are seeing the natural progression of a total marriage here. Not a marriage 15 years in and struggling. I refuse to watch the Kardashians. I would be embarrassed if any of my children walked in on me watching that show. This show, I don't mind watching or admitting that I watch. In reality TV, that's unusual.
  2. Bill and Jen have shown that they are getting services for Will and I expect they will not neglect his needs. As far as the "sad panda face" I laughed because my 3 year old grandson does the same thing. We usually tell him "that one is not working, try another" and until recently he would alter his face a few times as we repeated our request. Then he figured out that nothing was working and would aquiesce to our request or denial of goodies. I wasn't sure about Zoey when we met her, but, I've fallen in love with her. She's so polite and well behaved. She's a very patient child with her brother's antics. They sure got lucky with her. I totally love how Bill did the egg dying. Very smart. One cup at a time, in a confined space. I may try that next year. Glad Jen realizes that as a physician she can't be there for all the "holiday" fun activities. I would have been bummed that I missed egg dying, but, she sucked it up and oohed and aahed over the eggs. Jen looked tired after working and I'm amazed she was able to get up and take the kids to the park for the outing. I would have been down and out for the night. Good for her. They deserve every happiness that comes their way.
  3. I was really annoyed with Robyn. She got a ring, late, but she got one. A new one at that. Brady had Rosemary's ring either resized or fixed (not sure which). It's not like Rosemary got a NEW ring, she's just able to wear her old ring again.
  4. Well that makes a huge difference. 3 year olds don't watch TLC, but, 4 year olds do! They are doing fine. My preschool grandson does not pay attention to any TV that's not PBS/Sprout, Disney or Nickelodeon. Although, he does know news enough to know he doesn't want it on. I think they are doing fine. They have taken on 2 international adoptions of toddlers. They are learning as they go along. They are doing the bulk of the parenting themselves, even with the cancer diagnosis. That is impressive to me. I have a chronic disease and find myself parenting from my bed. I should take a cue from Saint Jen and get up and go. They haven't had 2-4 years to get to know these kids and adjust to their personalities. They have had less than 1 year total and they all seem to blend well. They are calm parents and that will help them raise calm children. Good luck to them. I look forward to this show each week. As a past avid reality show junkie, this is the only reality show I really watch now and look forward to it each week.
  5. Jen said she hadn't felt around inside Zoey's mouth because she didn't have gloves at home and didn't think to get some from the hospital. As for disciplining Will...Bill was busy with dishes. It's usually best for the one disciplining in a situation to do it alone so that the child will learn to respect and follow the directions of the person disciplining them. If Bill had stepped in it would encourage Will not to listen to Jen. I find myself stepping in when my grandson doesn't listen to his Mom and I have to stop myself. You can clearly see that Jen's shot before treatment is done in the open. Will and Zoey know what is going on as evidenced by Will and the band aids and Zoey with the shot. I wonder if Jen has shots in the stomach sometimes. Otherwise, why would Zoey attempt a shot there on herself. I know when you get daily shots there are a list of places to do them (arms, legs, stomach and hip/butt). Jen shouldn't have gotten out of bed for Zoey's appt, but, it being Zoey's first appt in the States with an International clinic, I totally understand her wanting to be there. (Darn that was a long sentence.) I look forward to this show every week. My hubby hates her laugh, but, I just ignore it. I almost melted when Zoey initiated that kiss with Jen in the hospital cafeteria. She has come so far. That is a testament to their love and commitment to their children/family. As for the cake/cookie. Will wanted cake, Jen kept telling him they didn't have cake they had cookies. She left him to calm himself and he did. She tried to calm him with logic, but, he wasn't having it. He calmed down fast enough. I think that exchange wore her out though. She ran off right after the cookies and it seemed like she was going to sit down or rest. I'm so happy to know she came through this successfully. I do have to say she has a beautiful smile and looks better with the turban than she did with that pixie cut. I like how she curled the wig last night and hope she grows her hair out like that. My other hope is that they find a more stylish cut for Zoey. I know toddler hair can be finicky to do anything stylish with, but, I hope Jen can girly Zoey's hair up a bit.
