  1. I thought they were going to hook Raj up with the other woman with pink eye in line at the pharmacy last week.
  2. The cops being called to the pool at the retirement home was apparently based on something that Eric did.
  3. It looks that way. Sandrine Holt is listed as only appearing in 4 episodes on IMDb now. I still have a hard time believing Lindauer reached such a high position in Homeland Security in 10 years even after the explanation they gave. Wouldn’t the actions taken due to his prior knowledge of upcoming events have caused all sorts of changes to the future timeline?
  4. Interest in this show seems to have taken a nosedive.
  5. Wow, Erica went from not realizing they were ripping off “I Love Rock & Roll” last week to writing and recording an original song that’s so good it convinces her mother that she should drop out of college and pursue a music career. OK.
  6. Erica’s storyline has gotten really ridiculous.
  7. “I would watch a TV show about us.”
  8. It was pretty amazing that Reece could not only diagnose her heart problem but also determine that was the reason her mother abandoned her as a baby.
  9. “Richard, it is important to develop emotional self-discipline for situations like this. Sometimes you have to numb yourself. If you want to work the corner you can’t fall in love every time you turn a trick. That’s why you do the Oxy.”
  10. Check out the 1998 Canadian film Last Night. She gives a really good performance.
  11. In case anyone was wondering, the song that was playing in the bar scene with Marshall and the blonde woman was “Blood and Roses” by The Smithereens (from 1986). They were one of my favorite bands back in the day and still one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen. Singer/guitarist Pat DiNizio passed away in December.
  12. That story wasn’t going to fly anyway was it? If he was really who she claimed then there would obviously be records of him, info about his true identity, etc. Seems like it would take literally a few minutes to verify after his wife gave her his real name, info about his former job, etc. It really seemed like Emma and the other HS guy recognized the woman in the drawing but then.....no.
  13. “You know, it's like my foster mother used to say, ‘Donald, you have a face for the closet.’”
  14. “Not all of us deserve to make it to the valley beyond.”
  15. The Regrettes cover of “Fox on the Run” by Sweet.
  16. Drive-By Truckers cover The Ramones. (“The KKK Took My Baby Away”)
  17. That’s pretty much what happened with R.E.M. I became a fan when I was about 14 in 1983 and within a relatively short time they were one of the biggest bands in the world. One one hand, you’re happy about their success but on the other hand you miss the old days when you felt like you were part of something special that other people didn’t know about.
  18. Amy said, “Emma is almost out of the house.” How old is she? It seems like she was about 12 not long ago.
  19. It was cool that the Homeland Security guy had camouflage netting over the bed of his truck so someone could hide in the back within being detected. Do DHS officers always drive their personal vehicles when they’re deployed somewhere?
  20. Interview clip with Zach Woods talking about the origin of the “Jared speaks German in his sleep” scene. (Language warning.)
  21. I’m pretty much just watching for Jared’s lines each week. Jeff: “What is it with you guys and stallions?” Jared: “What’s with you and being a rat FUCK?!”
  22. Everything about the Jian-Yang storyline was annoying and not entertaining at all.
  23. I’m still curious how people from the earlier time traveling group managed to obtain jobs in the US government.
  24. Jared is by far the best character on this show.
