  1. Arlene is the best part of the show. She needs a bigger part.
  2. Like otto said, this whole "nothing will grow inside the wall" stuff is ridiculous. There's grass and trees growing so why won't any food grow? Makes absolutely no sense. How well did Hassler and Teresa know each other in the past? Did he really think that as soon as Ethan was gone she would instantly fall in love with him and they would live happily ever after? More ridiculous BS. We had the first mention of anything vaguely resembling religion with Jason's reference to "stories that people used to tell about how mankind began with two people".
  3. It doesn't seem to fit with the idyllic, 1950's-ish, perfect small town America thing Pilcher seemed to be striving for. We've seen zero mention of any type of religion in the show. Either Pilcher only snagged Atheists, or maybe the writers didn't want to deal with it (not that the lack of religion would bother me). I haven't read the books so I don't know if there was any type of religion discussed, etc. in them.
  4. Did the brilliant scientist Pilcher not have any clue or make plans for the fact that a certain % of the population will be homosexual? Or was the plan really to kill anyone who turned out to be gay or lesbian? If that's the case I guess the vaguely Nazi imagery makes even more sense. Just in case you didn't realize that Jason was the villain, he traded in his Brownshirt uniform for all black, featuring a black turtleneck. Or maybe he's actually just a big Andy Warhol fan.
  5. It seems like they could make chocolate ice cream if they can make fudge.
  6. I think the Abbie on the carousel was a female. I almost laughed out loud at the scene of Hassler sitting on the bench in front of the Pilcher statue (still wondering who made that statue) chugging a bottle of liquor.
  7. They still haven't given us 100% confirmation that Ben is dead.
  8. Hey, should we have a guard here to keep an eye on this really important guy who is the only person to return from people sent outside the fence years ago? I think it might be a good idea so he doesn't, you know wander off or something. Nah, it'll be fine. We'll just leave him here alone in this apparently deserted hospital. I'm gonna go have some fudge and ice cream and then wash it down with a beer. Man, this food shortage sucks!
  9. This stuff about nothing growing inside the wall still makes no sense. There are trees and grass growing in town....right? But then we see a guy apparently spray painting leaves on a tree. Huh? What's the point of that? Are they are trying to trick people into thinking that the trees aren't dead or something? If so, it's pretty stupid to paint the trees in front of everyone. But that makes no sense since stuff is obviously growing in the town. The CJ character is now one of Pilcher's trusted insiders but he was nowhere to be seen in season 1. How long has he been awake? Was he there from the beginning with Pilcher and Pam? If the plan all along was to plant crops why was everyone in season 1 hanging out eating anything they wanted at the restaurant or from their fully stocked refrigerators with no mention of planting crops or conserving food? This show is quickly becoming Dome-ish.
  10. Ugh, too much 12-step/AA BS. I kind of liked The Sklar brothers, though.
  11. Exactly. Also, I don't think Ben is dead.
  12. I still want to know why they were leaving bodies in that empty house last season.
  13. I like the way that surveillance camera did a nice slow zoom into Ben's face while he was delivering his soliloquy. I thought they said Ben and his band of rebels destroyed the surveillance equipment in last week's episode. Oh well. Who went outside the wall and planted all those crops? Are the Abbies strictly carnivores and won't touch fruits and vegetables? Doesn't it seem kind of dangerous to have guys with flamethrowers and flaming Abbies running around in the fields? I guess it's a good thing that Pilcher stockpiled all those military vehicles, weapons, ammunition, uniforms, etc. for the Hitler Youth kids to use. What happened to all the soldier types from Season 1 who were guarding the mountain HQ, flying around in the helicopter, etc.? I think the poster art for Season 2 may give a clue to Ben's fate. http://spinoff.comicbookresources.com/2016/04/20/wayward-pines-debuts-creepy-new-poster-for-season-two/
  14. http://www.coderag.com/liveblog-reporting-from-bachmanity-insanity/
  15. It's kind of tough watching Big Head blow $20 million.
  16. .....along with Theo's wife, which we have no idea how he got to her. This means he managed to transport two unconscious people from Hawaii to Idaho to be frozen. How many people were kidnapped and frozen for Pilcher's project? Were Pope and Pam the only ones abducting people?
  17. I have exactly the same thoughts. I think we discussed it a good bit during season 1. There's no way any of those vehicles would still work. Even the tires would have crumbled to dust. Where is the food coming from? Who made those Hitler Youth uniforms? (Those uniforms seem to be a pretty heavy-handed reference.) Where do people get new clothes and shoes? How much ammunition do they have for all those guns? If the 1st Gen/Gestapo kids were born in WP who are their parents? Were they from Group A or Group B? I'm not clear on the timeline from the initial unfreezing of Group A until now. How much time passed before Group A flipped out and torched the town and Group B was unfrozen and they flipped out? That Jason kid appears to be 20ish.
  18. Didn't Sheriff Terrence Howard get shot by Matt Dillon and then get eaten by Abbies? I see he's returning for Season 2. I guess we'll be getting more flashbacks to present day.....or something.
  19. Maybe she sprayed some super secret Abbie repellent on herself.
  20. This has the potential to be the next Under the Dome but with better actors and production values. ;)
  21. I guess I'll watch this to see how Hope Davis survived.
  22. I've got pretty much the same feeling. Sooner or later Pied Piper has to get up and running or not. How long can they drag out the "almost getting off the ground, but....not."? It seems like at some point they're going to have to move on to a new storyline if this keeps going on and on.
