  1. Oh yeah, forgot about that. For some reason I'd assigned the axing to Keith in my mind. Freddy has a serious screw loose. He seems to be a good worker when he's not inciting a riot or bullying someone. That's a fairly low bar, however.
  2. In his defense, this group is rather gross in a couple of different ways. The more I watch this show the more I believe that the stews and deck hands in this show for the most part couldn't hold regular jobs. That's why they drifted into this work.
  3. That guy was a nasty piece of work. Despite what they all said, they had looks in their eyes that this was long from over.
  4. Though to be honest, seeing Freddy jump on the floating and decomposing carcass of a massive walrus was more entertaining than anything Josh has ever done.
  5. Sig and Harley actually make good partners. Both are equal in the arrangement, both are a bit suspicious. It's a marriage made in heaven. 😉 Freddy has been quiet lately, other than working and getting injured. Maybe getting drunk and losing his place on the Wizard was a wake up call to him?
  6. So we'll be hearing a lot of "June, June. Jwow. June, June, Jwow."
  7. I wonder what she thinks of her behavior now that she's seeing it on TV. Jack is probably incorrigible and sees nothing wrong with his.
  8. She doesn't need covers. She needs to learn to time things better. This is where her lack of professional experience is showing. Anastasia isn't multitasking well. She should have dropped the fries toward the end of the time the burgers needed for cooking. The rice should have stayed in the pot until she was ready to plate. She's just a bit unorganized. Boy, a lot of malfunctions are coming to the surface, aren't they? People posting before me have covered Travis fairly well. Aesha and Jack are immature and trashy. Jwow shouldn't have called her out the way he did, but my bigger issue is why he didn't call Jack out, too. Every season Hannah starts this same crud. She needs one, preferably more, of the guys (specifically not calling them men, most seem to be emotionally stunted) to be lusting after her or at least have puppy dog crushes. She thought she had that with Travis, a worshipper at her feet but, yeah, he turned out not to be up to her standards. So....time to slide on over to Jwow who has been behaving better than is his usual. I thought Hannah's comment was funny that Jack and Aesha should have behaved better because there are millionaires walking around that hotel day or night. It showed her social climber aspirations and fondness of class distinctions. Jack and Aesha's problems isn't that millionaires might see them, it's that they're acting like half witted teenagers in heat. It doesn't matter how wealthy the people who see them are. Hannah made a mistake when Jwow asked if he should do something about the drunken mess at the bar on the boat. She's now fully complicit in their inappropriate workplace behavior.
  9. It was at least one rotting carcass in a bag. It wasn't a raccoon that got in there accidentally.
  10. Jordon lost a second can of fat to wolverines. Didn’t he learn anything the first time? Dude, eat all you can then stash the rest in your shelter somewhere. He's lucky that moose wandered into the marsh to eat, otherwise Jordon would be long gone.
  11. I work on boats where I have to keep a radio with me and it has to stay turned on. After the first few hours, your brain sort of adapts. I phase out the chatter not related to me, but my attention is caught when key words are said such as my title (we use job titles not first names as they do on the Sirocco), something about my department, or something that's otherwise interesting or entertaining. I suspect you're right about her not wanting to hear the chatter, but she's not letting herself get to the point where the extraneous stuff turns into essentially white noise in the background.
  12. Agree wholeheartedly. I don't mind them showing the CM when the focus is on Casey, like when he was helping an injured crewman a couple episodes back or when he and the crew were trying to regain control of the swinging pot. Just keep He-who-shall-not-be-named off the screen.
  13. That makes sense, thank you. Now I'm left figuring out why Ian can get over behind held captive for so long, as well as getting over Jane being shot.
  14. I thought for a moment after they met that they'd be perfect for each other, appreciating each other's insecurities and so forth. Didn't turn out to be true. Both could benefit from some individual therapy.
  15. I think Hannah would like to see Anastasia fall on her face as a chef and return to being a stew, both because she was a decent stew and also being Hannah would enjoy her fall.
  16. Nice to see Monte and Keith back on the boat. Monte did his turn on the deck, then took over as relief captain. That's playing iron man, like in the old football days when players played both offense and defense. I'm glad they were all safe given those waves. I really thought the show was building up to a big injury when a boat was far north.
  17. Yeah, that. My S.O., a former chef, happened to see that scene. Flabbergasted, he went on a bit about how those two should be fired. You don't do that with things people eat or drink out of, what the heck is wrong with these two, etc. Do you know what would happen if you did that in a restaurant? Out the door. Had to agree with him.
  18. I get a bit of a passive aggressive vibe off of her, especially in her talking head comments this week. Oh sure, it's in her ear all the time....well except when it's "fallen" out. Uh huh. Girl friend knows what she's doing. She doesn't want to be in instant contact with her boss.
  19. Anastasia needs to call her mother and get a few more recipes.
  20. I'm generally on Team Anastasia. She's stepped in with no time to prepare and has done well for the most part. In this charter, she made the mistake of not reading her audience. These guys are large guys who are former athletes. They want to EAT. No vegetarian entrees unless they request it. Meat. Big portions. Stuff that leaves them FULL. Her issue with killing the lobsters amused me because she sure didn't mind killing those sea urchins. I guess because they don't have faces. It was thoroughly disgusting that she put the prepared food back in the raw urchin tests/shells. Dear god, that's a recipe for a bacterial orgy. When people refill crab shells, they've been cooked or sterilized. Mollusc shells have been scrubbed. It looked like she rinsed off those urchins but she's lucky she didn't give the guests diarrhea. The deck crew showed competency at their jobs. Hallelujah. Jwow still is a bad manager and Sandy has a major doting auntie crush on him. June needs to be fired asap. Jake and Aesha should get a strong warning about the snogging all over the boat, enough to scare her. It won't have any impact on him since the heat emitted from his work ethic is essentially measured in the single digits on the Kelvin scale. The primary on this trip, the ball player's wife, is trashy. I suspect that she's been in bar fights before, both before and after she married money.
  21. Comfortable, afraid, resigned. A whole mess of emotions. "This is just how I have to live."
  22. I wish Dr Lee could have started the brother and sister with the oozing bumps on some kind of prescription to get them mentally started in the process. Just as you could have predicted, the sister was just starting to medication after three months and it sounds like the brother hadn't even been to a doctor yet. You could tell in his eyes in the office that he'd lost hope.
  23. They'd have to find someone with a psychiatric condition like the young man who swore up and down he was talking to Katy Perry. Other than that sort of thing, the victims will consistently be sad and lonely. The catfish will either be sad and lonely or mean and bored.
  24. I wish both of those young people well. They're both so sad and lonely. I wish Shirlene had some self-esteem. She kept overlooking the crazy and inconsistent stuff to hang on to the idea of this hot dude with a good job who would love her and take care of her and her child.
  25. Honestly, what will it take to get some of these people fired...Jack in particular. I thought the black water issue would do it. Why didn't anyone know where the engineer was? It's a small boat. I work on vessels. Even when off duty, the leaders of the different departments keep their radios with them and at least on low unless their sleeping. This whole bunch is bizarre. J-Wow now trying to be the naughty boys buddy. Won't work unless they know he means what he says, which he really doesn't.
