  1. A co worker let me borrow 11/12/63 and I loved it! I have always been an avid reader but that was my first King book. Since then I've read a handful of others. Though I've strayed away from the horror ones. The same co worker lent me some of his Bachman stuff but I find the writing style too different... Or something? Anyhow, went to the library today and they had one King book available, "From a Buick 8" so far I am enjoying it.
  2. Well I expected cheese and I guess I got that! I've haven't watched a Disney channel show in years but from time to time my four year will call me into the room when his cartoon is over and Disney has switched from cartoons to young adult programming asking me to change the channel. All their shows are just so bright and colorful. Don't like farkle and in the previews it looks like Minkus has take on some serious changes. I barely recognized him and I don't mean that in a good way! Corey's nose does look weird but only from the side, almost Pinnochi-ish! I thought Corey and Topanga were my age but maybe I'm off by a few years. I'm having a hard time figuring out how they managed to complete college, become a lawyer and a teacher and two kids and only be in their young 30's. I've been married to my highschool sweetheart for ten years, I'll be thirty this year and our oldest child is only four. I'll still watch only for the Corey and Topanga cameos (because that's all it feels like to me at this point) and for whoever else might pop up!
  3. I'm usually pretty good about working out but my parents were in town last weekend and I didn't feel like getting back into it this week. Monday I promise ill start back on my routine. As for me, I'm a stay at home mom of two boys, ages 2 and 4 so I rarely have time to work out. Running only happens if something is chasing me. I hate running!!! I have onDemand and can usually find some good free workout programs that last about 20-30 minutes. I really only desire to lose about 15-20 pounds but I want to be in shape. With onDemand I can stick the boys in front of a cartoon in the living room for breakfast while I workout in my bedroom. It also helps that I literally never sit down for the day until the kids are in bed at night. I'm always up, moving, doing something. I'm sure if I could get rid of my love for craft beer I'd be making much better progress :)
  4. I'm turning 30 this year and got into the books after the third one. My grandparents bought my little brother a copy of the first one for Christmas the year it came out and it took me a while to pick it up and give it a shot. After that I was hooked. My husband and I would order the Amazon delivery for the day it came out (I attended one midnight release party). One year, I think it was for the fifth book, we were away on vacation (hour and a half drive away), left our vacation so we could get the mail delivery of our book, drove back to vacation and read Harry Potter the rest of the time. We always purchased two of every book and would sit on the couch and read and discuss. I'm a faster reader than my husband and it would irritate me that I'd have to wait for him to finish a chapter :) While the movies weren't great, I did appreciate putting faces to the names and learning how to pronounce Hermione!
  5. I'd like to take the test just to see how well I could do. I'd never want to be on the show though!
  6. My channel descriptions can never get Last Holiday right! I always see it on and described as a 1950 movie with Alec Guiness and Kay Walsh. I've only seen the Queen Latifah version, a million times, because I have a weird thing for LL Cool J. I want to see the original but keep getting burned by the guide being wrong! On a side note, I've really been enjoying the Carson hour they've been doing every Tueday evening. I don't watch any of the "tonight" shows past the monologues because there is rarely any person I want to see in that element. I think with social media and the Internet in general these celebrities aren't such a hidden treasure anymore, if that makes sense. Seeing Lucille Ball on the program the other night, now that I wanted to watch!
