  1. I can't say I was impressed with Maddie's solo this year. It seems a little lacklustre and not very well choreographed. Just a set of random moves rather than a full routine.
  2. I’m throwing my hat in the ring to take over. I’m a blogger so I know all about how to promote and write!
  3. Gina is wearing 75 so good guess it will be her
  4. I knew she wouldn't let us down!
  5. I agree, she's not strong enough in that jazz style. She needs much more power. She'd be better doing a pretty lyrical or her tried and trusted tap!
  6. It looks like Gina is finish finals too as she's number 75. Judging by the photos, Cianna, Maddie and Gabby are both hiding their midriffs and that's a tell-tale sign to the judges about weight issues. With Heather's costume, it shouldn't matter if the dance is that good. They shouldn't be marking on that because it's not like the women make them themselves, is it?
  7. Judging by Heather's costume, she must be doing some sort of 80s-style routine. Not sure she'll get many points for the costume though! Also looks like Maddie is doing pretty much what she did last year, the costume even looks the same!
  8. I just think it's a very personal question. You wouldn't be asked it in a regular interview so why this one? Just like all of the MeToo stuff last year. I'm glad they asked if they knew what it was but I hope they didn't ask for an opinion on it. The DCC are very traditional and doubt they want them to be portrayed as feminists.
  9. I love these outfits. That cape jacket is very Kris Jenner, very fash-un. And I know she's Brennan's fave! It's a little more mature than what others will be wearing but she is 30!
  10. I was just thinking about that too. The practice gear I assume will get given to rookies that are now veterans but your uniform? Everyone gets a bespoke one! I think they should be allowed to keep it all personally or is the organisation a bit skint?
  11. The years of having a few 5-year girls on the team are gone I think. It's too much of a full-time commitment to give up the rest of your life for 5 years. I know it works well for those that are dance/barre teachers but for anyone with a career, it must be hard to juggle two full time jobs. I think I'd also give it a go for a couple of years and then be done. Unless you're a star dancer and kiss K&J's backside, your position on the team rarely changes.
  12. This is disturbing to me. At least when we did dance competition photoshoots, we looked like kids with our awful blue eyeshadow and coral lips! It's very pageanty to me which coming from the UK, I just don't understand! Let kids be kids!
  13. I had a look through the images on Pro Dance Cheer where Meredith features a lot. I think she looks great and would be a good edition to the squad. I liked her last year!
  14. How they can balance college/work alongside DCC, I'll never know. Those who have a career or are in school have to miss out on appearances and DCC opportunities so are seen in a negative light by Kelli. They want strong, confident, educated women but only those who will give everything up for the year to be part of the team. I'm rewatching season 7, when Danielle and Carisa made the team. Both mention working in retail/waitressing and K+J turn their noses up. They're just trying to get part-time work that allows them to work during the day but still have enough time to practice. Kelsey is working full-time and looks tired all the time. Getting 2-4 hours sleep a day is not healthy yet they want super fit, healty women on the squad?
  15. I think you can tell the good ones from the bad ones. Jenna and co were favourites of Kelli and allowed to break the rules. Milan, Heather, Allie, the good ones make one small mistake or stand up to someone and get cut. They represent the wholesome DCC brand a hell of a lot better than the others! You can tell the cliques just by seeing who hangs out with one another and interacts on Instagram after they leave the squad.
  16. I always liked Milan. I thought for a young person, she seemed really mature, a bit like myself really. She clearly values education which is what will keep you working in the long haul and wanted DCC to be a fun, extra-curricular because of her love of dancing. She seems to be one of the quieter personalities and enjoyed the friendships but there always seems to be a bubble around DCC. They rehearse together, some live together and most hang out all the time. She might have preferred her own space and time alone to study! We've learned from Erica's lawsuit that DCC is not a full-time job but they expect you to be available all of the time. It's basically an underpaid internship. I am disappointed that her group leaders didn't seem to be much help. Jenna I understand, but Jinelle and Robin in particular are older/wiser and Lacey was 18 when she made the squad. Seems like it's only if your face fits.
  17. She’s amazing, tap and Beyoncé, what’s not to love?
  18. I like Amy, she fits in well and not a huge, loud personality. Tap was always and still is my strongest style so I don't blame her for keeping to it, just wish she'd take a different spin on it. I like the Army-style one the other year, that made it a little different. The problem is with a solo, you have to do what you do best and stay in your lane. Most of them will be trained in a few styles: ballet, modern, jazz, street but you always favour one. You do the moves that you do best! I get bored with pretty lyrical sometimes, I much prefer contemporary but the judges never seem to like that. They want happy, smiley routines or sexy.
  19. I looooove tap but she always does a cheesy, sickly sweet tap routine. I like grittier tap that looks much cooler.
  20. How they can make mistakes in the kickline, I will never know. They do it alllll the time. You just need to practice it a couple of times as a dancer and it sticks in your head. If it doesn't, they're probably not right for the team. If there's one thing I know, it's kicks!
  21. God, I hate the term 'influencer'. I'm a blogger/content creator but we all get lumbered together. Running a blog takes soooo much work with much less income whereas an influencer just sticks pretty pictures up and make a fortune!
  22. I have to say Kashara’s kicks look average here!
  23. Oh god, that was a corker! Why would cankles matter anyway when they wear boots 95% of the time?!
  24. Kelli loves a bouquet but only with hair colours, not body shapes and sizes!
  25. I can't keep up with these stupid words she makes up! You're probably right. I remember her being on the stockier side but she wasn't big by any stretch. So what if there isn't? All bodies are not built the same.
