    S14.E13: Game Day

After finally watching this episode I think Heather would make a great point!
  2. Now that you mention it ... I can totally see it! Haha maybe if not daughter then a relative. Or maybe I'm just dying for a good bit of gossip 😂
  3. Wow just watched the last episode with Jalyn, the bit where she talks about whether it may have been something outside of show group auditions sounds fishy! Wasn't there similar issues with Tara getting cut last year?
  4. Oh no.. if the show is not renewed do we still get to keep this forum? I think I enjoy the forum more than the actual show :D
  5. Completey agree. It would be interesting to see them do a segment on "how to deflect controversial questions/issues" on the show!
  6. Well this is what I don't get about DCC's media/interview training stuff they show on CMT. They do seem to ask politics related questions, but do they expect the girls to express a view? And if they express a view, is it supposed to be line with the "official Dallas cowboys" political stance (e.g. with the kneeling etc)? It doesn't seem clear from the show whether that is encouraged. Yes I can see the girls should be entitled to express their views without judgment but from a PR point of view it could be a bit of a nightmare and prove to be very divisive- whether that is expressing a liberal view that people might hate or vice versa. If I was in charge of PR for DCC I would encourage everyone to stay away from politics. Politics (whether conservative or liberal) can be divisive, that's why I was surprised Rachel was open on twitter about it- will be keeping an eye out to see if she goes into TV/news though, it's quite an interesting theory since I can't see her doing the Kalyssa ("maxim" model) or Holly P ("specialist"? dancer) route and suspect she will want to do a bit more than being a local dance instructor...!
  7. Hence I added that it probably would have been obese a few decades ago before the whole world became very big- yes it probably won't be classed as obese now thinking about how the average size for women have increased over the past few decades. However, I still think that would be in excess of a healthy weight for her age, so would class that as over weight beyond what is considered "DCC heavy".
  8. Oh wow are these for real/unedited??? If so, that's not even DCC "heavy", that's actually obese (or would have been a few decades ago before the whole world got really big). But anyway it's fat by normal standards (definitely beyond what's healthy for an 18 year old), that's shockingly fat for DCC. It's embarrassing. You can't even blame the second picture on angles. How the other girls on weight warning must feel to have to look at that every practice!
  9. I'm sure Kelly did pretty much recuse herself on Dayton last year - I seem to remember her saying something like "I am going to have to take myself out of this, have known her since she was whatever age/know her mum etc.." Or am I imagining it ..lol
  10. I wonder if Tara was indeed having weight problems of her own and being called out on it she would have been annoyed that Victoria seems to have been given extra leniency (reflected by VK's cut being due to a lie rather than the actual weight problem)... Hope CMT doesn't just bury all these issues!
  11. Urrrrgh if only DCC/the media would take a common sense approach on weight. I feel like it's always treated in the extreme: it is either a case of calling a perfectly toned (by normal standards) woman like Tara or other DCCs heavy or sometimes you see it going the other way where people are too scared to call out unhealthily overweight kids for fear of body shaming. People should just use their common sense- would someone who is considered a bit heavy by current DCC standards really make them less attractive or marketable as a brand?! Doubt it! No wonder there are so many body issues now- young people either developing an eating disorders or they are becoming obese. Sorry felt like ranting :D
  12. That's what I thought too! But now I'm dying to know if it is true- it would make for a great CMT drama storyline!
  13. Quote fail on my last post.. tried to quote both but couldn't figure out how! I was meant to say when it comes to the girls' appearances I highly doubt Kelly is racist but the DCC standard is probably a reflection of "mainstream society" standards of attractiveness. For example, I doubt they would have let Jacie performed with her natural hair (that she was showing on Instagram a while ago) and instead require they have a more "mainstream" hairstyles. It looks like a case of society prescribing that women of a certain look is attractive and Kelly is probably aiming to cater to the mass market..
  14. Not a VK fan or a hater but man I felt really sad when I saw that insta post with the extra whipped cream comment - the idea of having to deprive yourself of dessert for a job (or anything) is just a sad thought ... :'(
