Adam just may break the Twitter curse because Kat was awesome tonight. After about 20 seconds in I fast forwarded Audra, Kristen, Devlin and Jake. Delilah did that exact same arrangement of "How to Love" on The Sing Off (and Amy Whitcomb sang it way better) like three years ago. Original my ass. Sisaundra Sisaundra'd it. I know she's talented and all that, but those diva voices just aren't my cup of tea. Josh was better than last week, but his status has me worried. I'd love to see Devlin, Audra, and Jake/Kristen in the bottom 3 tonight, but that obviously shows my total lack of love for country music.

He looks like Bee's creepy Uncle in that pic...lol Well if they wanted to get ratings this should help with people turning in just to see what Blake will say!

Season Three: Mariachi, Mohawks, and Ringers, oh my!
kj4ever replied to kj4ever's topic in The Voice (US)
I love Amanda Brown and she was the second artist (behind Juliet) that I purchased iTunes. That being said, even I was like WTF when she came out and sang "Natural Woman". It kind of took her out of the "image" she had created with Dream On, and you are right, she never could live up to that. I think that was her choice though, not Adam's. Adam pushed her to rock which worked for the show, but by her own choices I don't think she wanted to go in that direction. I actually wouldn't have minded Christina's comments to Amanada and also Melanie because they were the truth, but the fact that she aimed all her daggers at them and just had glowing praise for everyone else really left me (even more) sour on her. -
You could tell Wild Child had CeeLo's grubby little hands all over it. It was such a disappointment.

He's been looking a little old since season 3. He was smoking hot in season 2...and that's saying a lot considering that is when I started to strongly dislike him...

S06.E20: Live Top 10 Eliminations 2014.04.29
kj4ever replied to Lily Adler's topic in The Voice (US)
I know that Adam and Christina to some degree usually get a lot of crap for their group performances and how they relegate their team to background singers, but NOTHING they have ever done could even touch that Team Shakira performance last night. Tess and Kristen might as well have not been there. -

You beat me to it Pivot! I will never understand how he gets so many four chair turns when he took two of the best contestants ever on the show and made them mediocre.... -

I think this show proves that many of us have put to much stock into the whole previous fanbase/twitter followers. Shakira has more Twitter followers than everyone put together and couldn't get Tess saved. Interesting thing was minutes after both her and Adam posted for their peeps Shak's had like 1,500 retweets and Adam's had 9,000. I guess it isn't the size, it's how you use it :) -
S06.E19: Live Top 10 Performance Show 2014.04.28

He did go there with Bria in a very nice way. I can't help think that it was strategy though, since others deserved the some honest feedback also. None of the others were young girls that might get the same votes as Grimmie/Blossom, and strategy wise it was brilliant for Adam to call her out. -
S06.E19: Live Top 10 Performance Show 2014.04.28

This season is so mundane, so full of forgettable people that perhaps people thought Rixton was a contestant? Bria needs to go, badly. There have been contestants on this show that I don't like, but I've never actively rooted for someone to do bad until Bria. Then she had to be all crying face and make me feel bad. Even after the Drake song I still don't see what the deal is with Grimmie. Her only redeeming quality is she looks like Blossom/Amy Farrah Fowler, but I'm sure that won't help her with the audience she is trying to reach. -
Thinking on the positive side, I think the best change they made was adding the steal to the Knockout rounds. I know all the seasons before that would have played out so differently. So many talented people went home, and it stopped the judges from picking fodder for the lives. I also think it was a good idea to put them all in one lump once they went live and not just to where each coach had one person in the finale.

Season Two: Christina Vs. Adam - Celebrity Deathmatch
kj4ever replied to kj4ever's topic in The Voice (US)
You and me both! I was a huge Maroon 5 fan, like I saw them when they were Kara's Flowers long time fan, and this show has made me really, really not like Adam. I was so excited when I saw that Jordis was going to be on. She was a favorite of mine from Rockstar. It sucked when she left, but at least we still had Juliet. We haven't had a decent rock chick since. -
Am I the only one who could really care less if they create a "star"? I have gotten some favorites on my iPod from the show - Juliet Sims, Amanda Brown, Cole V, and Vicci Martinez just to name a few. I'm entertained by the coaches (although Adam's "Blake is a big dumb country boy" act is getting so OLD), entertained by the show, so I don't see why that matters. Is it because Idol had Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Can'trememberherlastname? Have they had any other stars of that magnitude since then? I stopped watching it after season 2 I think because I didn't like the mean stuff they do. Even if these people get kicked off during the Blind auditions they are still better off than when they started. Huge exposure. I know Nicholas David did a huge show in my home town last summer, one that like 4,000 people go to every year. If he weren't on The Voice would he have gotten that gig? Doubtful. Just because people haven't come off the show being a household name doesn't mean that people coming off the show aren't successful. People like Nicholas are probably able to do music for a living now. I don't think you can get more successful than doing what you love for a living, even if you aren't making millions and millions of dollars.

Season Three: Mariachi, Mohawks, and Ringers, oh my!
kj4ever replied to kj4ever's topic in The Voice (US)
I always think of this season whenever people spout the "Blake picks country over everything else" theories. Now season 4 he said he was going for a country army, but all the other seasons, this one in particular, showed that he would pick other artists over his country peeps if they did well. I mean he picked the chick with the mohawk over Liz Davis, which proves right there he will go for the person that he thinks does better/has more potential. Some of my favorite perfomers were on this season. I can't help but wonder how it would have been different if the coaches had the saves in the knock out rounds like they did later on in the show. I think we would have seen more De'Borah for sure - Adam loved her. Cody still goes down as most entertaining performance with that Beyonce cover. It was awesome covered in glitter! -
Season Three - Was Cassadee a sure thing the whole time? Why did Christina hate Adam's contestants so much? Will we ever be able to get poor Melanie's disturbing performance of "The Show" out of our head? How did Blake end up with a Mariachi singer and a girl with a Mohawk on his team? The world may never know... Here were the teams: Team Blake: Cassadee Pope, Terry McDermott, Michaela Paige, Julio Cesar Castillo, Liz Davis Team Adam: Amanda Brown, Melanie Martinez, Bryan Keith, Loren Allred, Joselyn Rivera Team CeeLo: Nicholas David, Trevin Hunte, Cody Belew, MacKenzie Bourg, Diego Val Team Christina: Dez Duron, Sylvia Yacoub, Adriana Louise, De'Borah, Devyn DeLoera

I thought she looked like she was sucking on something sour. Bria just had plain old bitch face going for most of the eliminations. They are both so damn unlikable. I really want to like Bria, but she just seems like such a tool. In all my years of watching The Voice I've never got a straight answer to that question. Usher did say "This means you are number 1" to Josh, so at least that's confirmed. Is it me or are the coaches (Usher especially) putting more time in patting each other on their backs for shaping these artists? With what we had going into the live shows I'm not sure I would want credit for them. Just sayin.

I'll admit I watched Season One mostly through Hulu and boot-legged vids on You Tube. It is probably better that way since I had so many favorites from this list of contestants.

Season Two: Christina Vs. Adam - Celebrity Deathmatch
kj4ever replied to kj4ever's topic in The Voice (US)
I'm still ticked about that. I thought she had it in the bag. Seriously can people not be loyal for one week in a row or what? That being said, Blake's perfomance of Soul Man with Jermaine is still a Voice highlight for me. Just thinking about it still makes me smile because they just seemed like they were having so. much. fun. I think it pushed Jermaine over the edge to win, I really do. -
Someone over at TWoP said Bria could use the guitar as a necklace and her "thing", like Flavor Flav wore the clock necklace. I hope everyone from over there comes here. I will miss things like that horribly if this site doesn't pick up... I thought Team Adam's performance was cringe-worthy. Christina was just plain awful, and the others just seemed uncomfortable. Whenever Adam does a team performance he just seems to do a song with a bunch of background singers, with him as the star. Team Blake on the other hand are always some of my favorite performances. Blake really lets his people shine. I was a little worried for Sissaundra when I heard it was going to be a country song, but I liked her better in that group performance than I have in anything else she's done on the show so far. Blake really does have his stuff down when it comes to this show. He knows how to get people to care about his people.

If Shakira comes back for season 4,568 she is going to be in even more trouble when it comes to getting people picked for her team. As endearing as she is, she just really sucks at this show. leighdear, I was thinking the same thing. She sure looked like she was lip synching through most of that song, and that is just lame for a show called The Voice. I know when they do all their computer tricks on songs it's impossible to duplicate live, but come on! I'm bummed Dani went home. I was totally expecting TJ to leave, but I really felt like Devlin? or Bria should have went with him. I would have loved to have seen Christina and Bria in the bottom three.

NBC knew they had a hit, Christina and Adam were at each other's throats, and Blake figured out how to win. The teams were: Team Blake: Jermaine Paul, Erin Willett, RaeLynn, Jordis Unga, Charlotte Sometimes, Naia Kete Team Adam: Tony Lucca, Katrina Parker, Mathai Pip, Karla Davis, Kim Yarbrough Team CeeLo: Juliet Simms, Jamar Rogers, Cheesa, James Massone, Erin Martin, Tony Vincent Team Christina:Chris Mann, Lindsey Pavao, Ashley De La Rosa, Jesse Campbell, Moses Stone, Sera Hill Juliet Sims is still my favorite Voice contestant, even though it was one of my least favorite seasons. It made me an anti-Adam person with all the passive aggressive stuff he did, and the beginning of his show bromances. The Christina/Adam crap got old fast.
-
The season that started it all. Going into the lives the teams were: Team Blake: Dia Frampton, Xenia, Jared Blake and Patrick Thomas. Team Adam: Javier Colon, Casey Weston, Jeff Jenkins, and Devon Barley. Team CeeLo: Vicci Martinez, Nakia, Curtis Grimes, and The Thompson Sisters. Team Christina: Beverly McClellan, Frenchie Davis, Lily Elise, and Raquel Castro.

Thank you! I really didn't expect that to happen at all, that they would for sure save them. I guess at least they saw them? How the hell do they think they can save face for Bellamy now? He is officially the reason over what, 300 people died.

All of these things you guys have listed don't make sense for sure, but the biggest thing that doesn't make sense to me is why is the show packed with fugly people?? I mean I know they are not fugly, but compared to CW standards these kids are the equivalent to headgear wearing awkward nerds. If I'm going to watch a CW show that doesn't make sense most of the time I at least expect CW standard eye candy.

Color me jealous that you could forget him, because I keep hearing the murder of that song in my head.
