  1. I don't view the actors who didn't speak against Roseanne as cowards. I don't see anything wrong with putting out a statement saying they disagree with Roseanne's comment (and commend them for doing so), but I felt that Sara Gilbert came across as "biting the hand that fed her." She'd be a big nobody right now if it weren't for Roseanne. I have no desire to watch her in anything else in the future.
  2. If the show must go on, I'd rather see a focus on Becky and DJ instead of Darlene. Also, I'd rather them continue with Roseanne and the rest of the family (those who want to participate) on another network or streaming service. What Roseanne did was wrong, but I can forgive and not hold a grudge. I can understand ABC/Disney wanting to part ways to not have to deal with potential theme park boycotts/protests, but I could also understand continuing the show with Roseanne on another network.
  3. Interesting...I thought Gilbert did okay in supporting roles like her weird obituary writer role on Living Biblically, but she's never been one to draw me in. Different strokes...
  4. Since the beginning and with the reboot, Roseanne was the draw for me. With this last season, I also liked Dan, Jackie, DJ, and Becky; however, I haven't cared much for the Darlene storyline. I have no interest in a spinoff if it revolves around Darlene.
  5. I agree! This whole season I kept thinking that the parts with Darlene (and her daughter and son) were my least favorite. I certainly won't be tuning in if this happens. I realize there were creators of the series, but they based a lot of the character on Roseanne's stand-up routine. Then Roseanne eventually became executive producer and provided behind-the-scenes input. I wonder if she has any ownership rights to the characters or show.
  6. We watched the first two episodes then signed up for YT Red the next night and watched the remaining ones. Love this show! Better than anything on TV and wish there were more episodes. I think it's worth a subscription to Red. The only thing that really bothers me about the show is Daniel's son and the way the parents allow him to be such a little jerk/couch potato.
  7. I don't mind not having any mention of the dogs or Agnes. With Lizzie's grandfather in on the destruction of the bones, he must have been in on fake Red's plot from early on.
  8. I like ghost Tom. I hope we see more of him. This Reddington must have had some connection to the other Reddington. Why would he look after Lizzie if it weren't for feeling somehow indebted to him? Another good episode for Dembe. Please give him more lines. We spent the whole van scene saying it's a distraction and Reddington isn't in any of the white vans. Then we spent the captive Lizzie scene saying she's in on another plot--no way would she have apologized to Red like that. Then we guessed that Samar was out of the coma before they showed her. Too predictable. We originally fell for The Blacklist because there were so many surprises. Give us more surprises.
  9. I wasn't all that impressed with tonight's episode. Seemed like deja vu at times...Samar running through the woods reminded me of Mr. Kaplan and her captor. Aram with Samar at the hospital was like Lizzie being on the respirator a few seasons ago. Same old plot with different characters, but I do hope we can put the duffel bag to rest soon.
  10. I guess I view the dogs as a little detail that the writers do not need to fill me in about. Like I know Harold Cooper separated from his wife, but she hasn't been mentioned lately. Where is she, what is she doing? Don't know, don't need to know, and don't mind that the writers haven't mentioned her. Same with the dogs. I am comfortable thinking that Liz probably had someone to look after them or gave them to someone who had time for them. No need to fill in every little detail, and the dogs are one thing that I am perfectly fine with the writers choosing not to focus on. I don't think the writers are trying to slight us or make assumptions about us by omitting the dogs, either.
  11. That's probably what's happening, but I have to wonder how they proceed if Samar and Aram got married. He's shown how spontaneous (irrational?) he can be when her life is on the line, so it might be that one would need to be transferred. I actually never expected her to last this long. I like the actress and think she does a good job, but initially I wondered if her position on the task force was expendable since she came in to replace the agent at the end of season 1/beginning of season 2, like they may have a different person in that role each season.
  12. Am I the only one who doesn't care what happened to Liz's dogs and has no problem that they aren't mentioned? I wouldn't be surprised if Samar didn't make it out of this one.
  13. We're still enjoying the show each week and hope it gets renewed although I'm not sure I will like a plot still centered around Lizzie trying to deal with the fact that her husband was killed because of Reddington's secret and she has a renewed identity crisis trying to come to terms with knowing she's not the daughter of Reddington after all but a fake Reddington.
  14. Just saw that the series has been cancelled! https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/living-biblically-canceled-at-cbs-1104247
  15. Another thing the wife does that gets on my nerves is that she sometimes refers to herself in the third person like "Mama wants...." or "Mama likes...." This episode it was "Mama likes to air dry." (said to priest and Chip). Guess it's supposed to generate laughs, but I'm just wishing she'd stop.
  16. The premise of the show is that he's trying to be better in preparation for fatherhood, yet they barely mention the pregnancy and the wife doesn't even look or act pregnant. Her constant smiling at everything is weird. Some of the rabbi's lines were cringeworthy like ranting about orgasms at "Soul Cycle." I don't mind their giving him screen time, but this episode wasn't a good or funny way to go about it IMO. They need more or better writers. The jokes just aren't funny. When the rabbi said their love is the making for a crappy rom com, I think he nailed it.
  17. I think there are some good concepts and characters here, but since the first episode they keep falling flat.
  18. I don't care for the wife either. When she's not saying something odd, she just smiles all the time. Not showing at all and smiling all the time...are they sure she's pregnant? I thought one of the scenes where they were playing a drinking game was odd. Sure, a bar is the setting, but not what I expect from a priest and a rabbi. I thought this was possibly going to be a family show, but not with all the alcohol and sex references. I keep wondering where they might go with all of this. Since they're older, maybe a birth defect or complications during childbirth? I could see this getting better if he were a single dad.
  19. Glad to see Lizzie figured out that Red was behind the kidnapping of that witness. I sure didn't want them to drag that out. When the guy asked Red if an opossum has 13 nipples, I was stunned by the response. I figured that was the sort of trivia etched in Red's brain. Overall, not a bad episode. I've seen better, but I've seen much worse.
  20. This show is like a roller coaster for me. I'm interested....then I start losing interest...then I get interested again...then they take a week (or more) off. UGH! No show this week! ? It's as if they want to drive viewers away.
  21. Nooooooooo! I can't see Red killing off Aram. Once Aram knows that guy is safe, he'll back off...hopefully.
  22. Since Aram got a good look at one of those guys, he's probably going to be the one that figures out Red's link to the hijacking.
  23. Liz's psychiatrist is an interesting character but having her on screen means more focus on Liz which I'd rather not have. Wish Red would hurry up and get the bones back.
  24. The one she invited in isn't a crooked cop. The big guy with glasses is the crooked cop and the others who are working with him didn't know he's crooked. Seems they're being use by him to get to Reddington. Love one of Red's initial lines about therapy helping him become a totally different person. Then he gets the Blacklister who can make dopplegangers. Will Red try to change his appearance? The one she invited in isn't a crooked cop. That guy spent all that time planning the murder then got all Chatty Cathy. That was pretty lame.
