  1. I figured John Boy was in on the kidnapping when I saw his son was still alive. He's John Boy, after all, so didn't think he'd appear on the show for some minor role. Grandma's new husband still seems to know more than what he's told Ressler. Wish Dembe would just go ahead and tell Red that Liz turned him in. Not like anything is going to happen to her and he'd save others in the process. Longer he waits, the more likely Red will be mad at him. He has to realize Red won't do anything to Liz.
  2. Not one of their best episodes, but at least Aram is getting back on track and we're moving away from the Samar plot. Would like to see Olivia on Red's team for a while.
  3. I like the actors but I have been ready to end the Aram/Samar relationship. I think this revenge plot for Aram is dumb, though. He has to realize that's exactly what she wanted. I was surprised he punched Red at the end. Didn't think he had it in him.
  4. I enjoyed this episode. Just wish the next one would've been Red hunting Vesco again to get the gold. Surprised he let it go.
  5. I pretty much closed the door on Vanessa a few seasons ago. Loved her in season one, but she's changed. All her drinking and the puns just aren't that funny to me.
  6. Seems like the writers aren't sure where to go with some of the characters and story.
  7. Loved the way Ed's commercial got a voiceover. ? But I'm not thrilled with plot focusing on the oldest daughter. She goes around all "miss know it all" the last few seasons then asks how to make a video? New Mandy is emerging as my favorite daughter.
  8. I'm enjoying the show and getting used to the new Mandy. Hope they keep Susan Sullivan on for a while as Vanessa's mom. I've enjoyed most of her work in other shows and think she can add much to this one if they give her the opportunity.
  9. I love the idea of bringing Susan Sulivan on the show. She will make a good match for Ed. Cute seeing Kyle and Mandy as babysitters and the thought of them helping with homework was funny. Hope to see more of them helping with Boyd and less of Boyd's parents.
  10. I don't mind the politics, but I do get annoyed by the dingbat Vanessa. Loved her in the first season but downhill from there. Hope they give her some depth this go around.
  11. Will be interesting to see how it does in the ratings. We'll be watching here. Interestingly, we never watched it during its run on ABC. Saw the articles about its cancellation then streamed it on Hulu. I thought the last season was the worst aside from the Halloween episode. Hopefully this season's writers will get them back on track.
  12. Great to see the show again! Look forward to seeing how this season unfolds. New Mandy was odd...strange how it seemed she had the same makeup artists as the previous Mandy. Although it took some getting used to, I like her better than Eve who still comes across as a little brat. Glad she's not a regular. Glad that Kristen has moved on from braids, but I'm not a fan of the red dipped hair. I like the new Boyd--anybody is better than previous Boyd--and his "birdhouse" storyline. Wouldn't have minded if his parents moved to Canada and somehow left him with the grandparents. Hope they can start new threads for each episode rather than placing all season 7 comments here in this thread.
  13. I don't care for this Kristen at all. She looks her age. I wonder if all those braided hairstyles were part of an attempt to make her look younger.
  14. Originally, I really liked the educated Vanessa, but as the series progressed, her character seemingly became a dimwit alcoholic. I'm one who could be completely happy without Kristen, Ryan, and Boyd this season. I loved season 1 Kristen, but I haven't cared at all for what they did to that character. And I'm with @Gam2 about Kristen's distracting hairstyles. I thought the last season just wasn't as funny as the previous ones, although I enjoyed a few episodes like Halloween. Hope they improve the writing and make Vanessa stronger. I don't mind Friday nights and will look forward to the new season.
  15. I never watched the show during its run--binge watched all the episodes last summer on Hulu. Mandy was one of my favorite characters, so it is disappointing to see today's headline about this actor not returning. The last couple of seasons I found Eve, the oldest sister, and the mom to be really annoying and the writing fairly stale and predictable, so I hope they can come up with better lines for them. I wasn't crazy about the grandson either, so don't mind them recasting that roll--I recall they've already had two different actors playing that part, and I preferred the first one. I also liked the first actress who played the oldest daughter the best--maybe they could get her to play Mandy now, but I guess she'd turn them down if offered given how she was suddenly written out the first time around.
  16. And that, of course, is one's prerogative to choose not to go along for the ride. However, Roseanne has proven that she can bounce back, and she still has supporters who will tune in when she's ready for a comeback. Hollywood is full of vile drama queens/kings who aren't as talented and interesting as Roseanne, yet they find work and audiences. I look forward to seeing her next venture and reading responses here in "Aftermath" about possible shows she might do in the future.
  17. I haven't seen anything about Roseanne's agreement. I think it would be great if she could start another show. Some have suggested that they write out Roseanne by saying she went to prison. I could see her making that work sort of like a comedic Orange Is the New Black.
  18. As part of the "aftermath," I hope Roseanne is able to revive her character or another similar one in the future. Looking at the entirety of her work, I hold no grudges and wish her well.
  19. Still there are similarities in the one-liners/dialogue from Roseanne and Frankie. I hope Roseanne's able to negotiate a new season outside of ABC. Interesting how some polls are saying most viewers will pass on "Roseanne" without Roseanne.
  20. I think it would be great if they could pick up some of the writers from The Middle to work on Roseanne's show. It was obvious at times that the ones creating lines for Frankie Heck were inspired by Roseanne. I hope the network releases the show so it can be picked up elsewhere.
  21. No reboot announced this week...hoping that means Roseanne is working to retain control. I think the show--with Roseanne--could bring in good ratings at another network. Maybe not as high as this last season, but good ratings nonetheless.
  22. I disagree. I think there's an audience out there that still wants to watch her. I hope she continues with the show if a network wants to give the Conner family another chance.
  23. I don't know about that. Roseanne has been a phoenix rising from the previous scandals, so this could end the same. I hope she's able to work out a deal at another network/venue and continue the show with or without Darlene and others who may not want to work with her.
  24. The comments I read sounded sincere. For years she's talked about mental illness. Not saying that is part of what happened here, but I'm willing to give her the benefit of any doubt and again think it's terrible how some (including those she personally helped) just keep wanting to kick her while she's down while knowing mental illness is part of her background.
  25. Not asking them to stand by her regardless, but I do think Sara G's response was over the top considering what Roseanne has done to help her become more than Melissa's sister. They don't have to defend her and it's okay to say they disagree, but IMO it's wrong to keep kicking someone who's down (as Sara did) especially since Roseanne apologized and acknowledged she was wrong. I don't think it's a good analogy to compare Roseanne cast to Cosby cast because he never admitted to doing anything wrong and his offenses were multiple and went on for years.
