  1. This is not necessarily true -- there are plenty of anorexic dancers (and other athletes) who continue to have endurance and give great performances for years until their body finally gives out on them -- heart damage, joint damage, osteoporosis, etc. I'm not saying Gina is anorexic, but having the endurance to do a football game and do outstanding solos doesn't mean she isn't either. Her pictures are worrying (but, again, hard to tell from pics alone), but as someone else said, you see the ribs of all the girls in these types of pics. What bothers me in this pic, is this very bony bone jutting out. This is not seen in all of other girls. Does it mean something is wrong? Who knows.
  2. The show hasn't aired yet. She could definitely call them back & edit it in. They didn't have to call the cameras back to do it, but they totally went back & ghosted Erica after the Canton debacle. Kelli would have no problem doing whatever she needed to do to get the result she wanted.
  3. But . . . But . . . We can see rookies before the final team reveal on MTT! 😲😲😲 So, why exactly was there such a tight lid on who was cut during training camp? Cuz, news flash, unless you keep them off the field until after the "huge" MTT reveal, it's not much of a secret after their first appearance/game. 😂😂😂
  4. They have that variety on purpose -- they want opinions from a variety of perspectives to appeal to more people. The average fan doesn't give a hoot about how well they dance (within reason 😜) -- those judges are there to represent the general fanbase -- not saying it's a good representation, but this is their main purpose -- to judge how they appeal to them in general (and hopefully the wider fanbase), not how well they dance.
  5. It was probably really easy to get missed in the old prelims -- especially if you had somebody really bad or really good in your group. Yea, they're supposed to look at everyone individually in the group, but when someone catches your attention (from either being really bad or really good), it's easy to overlook the others in that group and miss out on potential. Some of them also may not have been the greatest or froze up on freestyle, so not really a good criteria on what they can do on the field. Hopefully, they'll stay with the video prelims. It might take them longer to get through, but I would think it would probably give them a much better idea of each girl's potential.
  6. I agree. Show group isn't really about the best dancers and shouldn't be based on what they actually do -- but they try to make it seem that way with show group auditions -- and that's where they run into trouble with the fans. Why hold the "auditions" at all if Kelli already knows who she wants on show group? If the "audutions" were more than them dancing, it would make sense -- they could say we chose A for dance and B for personality/interview. We will use A for dance appearances and B for interviews/interacting with fans, etc. Unless interview, etc. is some secret part of show group auditions that they just don't show us, the show group dance audition doesn't make sense, because that's not (wholly) what Kelli is basing it on. It just makes it look like the show group auditions are just for the show and Kelli picks who she wants on -- and therein lies the disconnect. Just pick the team and then announce who will be on show group based on the entire training camp experience, not just one night of dancing and fans will be more understanding who is picked & why (some for dance, some for social skills, etc.).
  7. Underbite? Are there pictures that show Lily with an underbite or are you getting your terms mixed up? Underbite = lower teeth are in front of upper teeth. Overbite = Upper teeth go over/in front of lower teeth. This one shows she has a slight overbite.
  8. Because the stickers are for the show? Kelli's opinion is the only one that really matters.
  9. That was my thought, too -- but why wait 6 days to announce it (which is why I'm thinking she's referring ti something else in the post).
  10. But with 15 episodes, the poor rookies won't be able to announce they're on the team the entire football season! They already have to wait until November (I think right before Thanksgiving?) -- a good half the season or more with 8.
  11. In this post, it says Tulum Dallas, which is a restaurant in Dallas.
  12. Since she has a boyfriend, I seriously hope it's not the bachelor 😂 Would love to see someone tell Kelli, "too late -- thanks, but no thanks," but probably something to do with asking for refs for a contract lawyer a while ago. New business venture, maybe?
  13. You do if you need the body -- you need 12 people & that person knows all the routines, etc. -- you (Kelli) use them until you've got no use for them (or your last use is a cut to create drama). Or, the Oxnard trip & who was going (what routines in what formations, etc.) was planned before SG auditions -- easier to take that person then re-do everything at the last minute.
  14. I find her answer a little concerning. I could be reading too much into it or the wording could be red flags. I would feel better if she had said something along the lines of, "nothing to worry about -- my weight is in the healthy range" or "I haven't lost weight." The vague "I'm always trying to be my physical best" worries me a little because, given her driven personality, it makes me wonder what she considers "physical best." Something doctors consider healthy or something she has come up with on her own? I'm not convinced there is anything wrong. She's tiny to begin with & it's too hard to tell what is real vs. filters in pictures. Her face doesn't look overly thin, so I'm leaning more toward the naturally tiny camp, but her personality & the reported concerns (and the fact the camera is supposed to add ten pounds!) has me on the fence.
  15. Might be my faulty memory, but I think @ShellyB said they got to choose which one to use because of the COVID mess not allowing them to have their makeup & hair done by professionals, but had to do it themselves, etc? ETA: found @ShellyB's answer I was referrung to:
  16. But, K & J like them skinny. The only way Gina is being demoted/kept off the field for being too skinny is if she is so thin that it is making her unable to perform (no evidence of that yet). If it is true, true friends should be concerned about her & be getting her help -- not out of jealousy, but because you care about your friend. On the other hand, if it is true & you are jealous & want her to be demoted/gone, you don't report it to K & J, but encourage her on that path in the hopes it will hurt her performance. And if it isn't true, telling K & J that you think Gina is too skinny (and thus not a good role model for young girls) isn't going to win you any brownie points with K & J or get Gina demoted. That is just a stupid move that is going to backfire on you. As I said above, there are much better rumours (harder to prove false) to spread if you're really trying to take her down/get rid of her.
  17. If you're going to start a rumour about someone out of jealousy, there are "better" things to start rumours about. Weight is too easily verifiable by K & J. Start rumours about things that aren't so easily verifiable -- like she's saying bad things about K & J (or whoever), go back to the supposedly snotty attitude she supposedly had as a TCC, or other questionable behaviours that aren't easily verifiable. I didn't take LB's comment as meant to cause "waves of negative discussion" about Gina. More just sharing info as to what is going on. I also don't see it as being negative towards or "casting aspersions" on Gina's character as Dr. M & some others seem to be taking it. LB reported some girls are concerned about her weight & how it might influence young girls -- nothing in that is saying that anyone thinks she is a bad person. Gina's weight (and her photoshopping/filters) is already mentioned quite a bit on here. She does seem to have body image issues given the amount of photoshopping/filters she uses, so it would not surprise me if she has developed an ED. Is that saying something bad about her? No, just that she's dealing with something (and if young girls (and us older ones, too 😆) don't recognize it for what it is & try to aspire to be like her in that way, then, yes, that can also mean she's a poor role model in the healthy body image/maintaining healthy habits area) and can hopefully get the help she needs in that area (if it's true).
  18. Being a good role model is not a black & white thing. You can be an excellent role model in many ways while not so much in others. Everyone has strengths & weaknesses. Excellent role model (strengths): hard work & dedication; treatment of fans. Not so good role model (weaknesses): over photoshopping/filtering pictures on social media; IF she has lost too much weight or is doing unhealthy things (diet, etc), not maintaining a healthy weight or healthy behaviours. No one is 100% perfect. Everyone has flaws. It doesn't make them any less worthwhile or take away from their goodness.
  19. It would be nice if they'd do the show in semi-real time, as in airing a week or two after it really happens. I understand Kelli wants to control the narrative too much (and can't go back & change things to fit her preferred narrative) if it was airing as camp was happening, but come on, airing it starting in late August is just stupid. The season is half over before the show reveals the team (and people complaining about spoilers when they're already out performing -- just . . . "no words.")
  20. It's possible, but if it was a true bubble they should have been able to do those things (interact with each other in each other's room, etc.) once they were officially in the bubble & determined to be virus free. And since it wasn't a true bubble with inconsistent standards/cautions (people coming & going without proper quarantine/isolation; sometimes masks on, sometimes off, etc,), it was probably pretty much a moot point anyway.
  21. Except Kelli is such a control freak, I'm not sure how much new photographers would help. Kelli knows best, after all.
  22. Yes, I know "weak pom technique" was not the real reason Hannah was cut (hence the use of the word "excuse"), but it is what I remember being said. Being "soft" could also apply to pom technique. It definitely had nothing to do with her weight (including her backside hanging out of her shorts). As others have pointed out, there were also remarks about her looking pale, stressed, & unhappy, but I agree with @KnyghtRyder. The real reason (which Kelli & Co. will never admit to) is that Hannah called them out on their faux bubble & they didn't like it.
  23. I thought Kelli's excuse was "weak pom technique."
  24. Are you kidding? They aren't horrified about how awful they were. They don't think they were awful. If anything, they probably think they should have been harsher. Hopefully, you use those as teaching moments for your daughter -- just because someone says something doesn't make it right or true. These women are thin and beautiful and look at these two crazy people tearing them down for imaginary things! Don't listen to crazy people!
