  1. They don't even really have to say why (though it'd be nice). Just acknowledging that she tried out & started camp but chose to leave would be better than trying to pretend she was never there.
  2. It definitely needs to be a case by case basis, but TPTB know how girls are doing in specific areas (weight, dance, etc.) and can meet with them before finals to determine (with a doctor's input) what is best. If the injury will heal in time & they're a known solid performer, let them go straight into tc (and even sit on the sidelines for a while). If there are questions about the injury and/or the vet's performance, don't even let them try out -- have them sit out the year. It sounds like Daphne thought she was doing better but it was too soon. Even if they had let her go straight into tc (and not sit on the sidelines) she probably would have injured herself more in training camp anyway (and maybe even during the season depending on the original injury). TC is far harder on the body than finals -- so without being forced to sit out a year, she was setting herself up for more injury.
  3. I have to kind of laugh at this part having seen how much Kelli rules during makeovers. From what I've seen, the girls don't have a whole lot of choice (at least their first year or two). A lot less changes are being made, but I think that's only because they're only coming in with what they think Kelli will like (a smart move).
  4. She didn't leave because of injury, she left because she did not follow orders at the HoF game and was cut. She was supposed to stay in the locker room. Instead, she changed into street clothes, went into the stands, drank beer (even though she was injured and supposed to be in the locker room, she was "on the job" -- so drinking on the job) AND, just to top it off, posted herself drinking in the stands on social media. The theory at the time was that they edited her out because they already had the Jenna/Holly debacle and didn't want to spend more time on yet another cheerleader breaking the rules.
  5. The only problem with this is is she going to be able to "fit into those tiny DCC shorts" in a healthy way? Her body type is against her in this. If she really does have a problem with doing unhealthy things to maintain the DCC standard, perhaps it's better to walk away and be healthy rather than risk falling back into that trap again.
  6. Except the whole "someone left because of the vaccine mandate" stems wholely from this Reddit post: LongtimeLurker_DCC Longtime reader, first time poster :) I don’t know the “who” but I just overheard the “why” when I was getting my hair cut today.....apparently the NFL is going to require everyone on the field to be vaccinated. Kelli told the girls to get vaccinated or bow out and several resigned last night and several other are thinking it over. Like I said, no names were mentioned, at least while I was within earshot. My own personal guess is that they’ll be looking for a new point because based on her political leanings, I can’t imagine Rachel W getting vaccinated. Lemonbus only stated 2 resigned for differing reasons & Dr. M said one was a big name. We definitely know "several" didn't resign -- so that puts doubt on the rumour right there. Fact is, we don't know why she resigned & may never know if Amanda never says why. A statement on the show, while more reliable than the above rumour, is even still suspect since we all know they like to edit things to fit their narrative. So, if Amanda says it herself or they address it on the show, okay. Otherwise, pure rumour. If this one post was never made on Reddit, would this even be one of the reasons why people are guessing Amanda quit? Time to put this rumour to rest until there is some actual confirmation.
  7. It has never been confirmed that is why she quit. It is only a rumour that someone (Amanda, by default) quit because of the vax requirement -- started by someone overhearing at a salon that "several" were quitting because of the vax requirement. As someone else mentioned earlier, Amanda just seemed to be over being a DCC (not posting anything about it on insta, etc.). Why she waited to quit until after training camp started, who knows. If she does "crave stardom" and "wants to be a star at any cost" she has probably gotten all she is going to out of DCC in that regard. Staying to be point isn't going to get her any more "stardom" out of being a DCC than it already has.
  8. What did they do with Erika's shoulder injury? I know once she was in tc she was attending, but sitting on the sidelines and still even made a group leader until she royally screwed up at the HoF game. Did she go through auditions as usual with an injured shoulder, given a pass into tc, or hurt it during/after auditions?
  9. I saw this meme mentioned in a news article earlier today & thought I would go back & find it & post about it here for fun (you know: no more worries about muffin tops, hair styles, etc.). Googled it & was shocked at the amount of Fact Check articles that immediately came up about it (the original article I saw earlier was not a fact check article). Did anyone actually take this seriously? 🤦‍♀️
  10. Except the only time they'll ever need to dance "on the fly" is at prelims -- so how important is that ability? The only time anyone has a "choice" (and even then it's a memorized dance) is when the group leaders call dances on the sidelines.
  11. The target audience doesn't care what dance steps or routines they do. They could just walk out on the field, wag their fannies, & wave at them & they wouldn't care (& some might like it better 😩).
  12. Yes, never confirmed. But I do agree A-R's quitting came a little too late to be because of the vaccine mandate -- unless they gave them until the start of the season & she kept hoping that it would be rescinded. Doubt it's that scenario though. I also think it's highly unlikely anyone is going to find a professional dance job right now where something isn't required -- so quitting because of this & hoping to find another dance job that doesn't require it is iffy at best. One person gets sick, the whole production could shut down = financial disaster for the producers/backers/owners.
  13. I don't remember it being confirmed. The only thing I remember is the story that someone overheard talk in a salon that "several" were quitting because of the vaccine mandate. As far as I know, it is all supposition. The insiders said 2 were quitting -- one because of injury; the other was never given a firm reason by an insider. The vaccine rumour came about because of the timing of the NFL mandate announcement & the salon rumour. We don't really even know that anyone quit because of the vaccine mandate.
  14. I think I read/heard somewhere it has to be a french manicure for game days/events. I'm sure there's something about length too. Don't want anyone to stand out for something like that/look different when in uniform. I think they take turns -- so it's only one from a group at a time. If you didn't see them sitting down, most wouldn't know one was missing.
  15. Forget being a fifth year, her name is right there on the freaking picture! It's almost like they have something against her (or their job) and are doing it on purpose.
  16. It also could have been nerves and/or pace. The tcc candidates may have had it a little "easier" the past two years with getting some dances ahead of time, but I'm sure it's still very nerve wracking with all of the critiquing going on and the fast pace doesn't help any of that.
  17. I get the honour/esteem of being front row and especially front row centre, but my eye always goes to the upper centre person first and out & around from there. First row & floor are usually the last I see.
  18. "Dangling Carrots" I can see if that is what you call posting things like "2 vets resigned" (which I just call insider info) -- but what were the red herrings? The only thing I can think of is when Dr. M "went after" Lemonbus, saying they knew who they were/they didn't know anything, etc. The only other thing I can remember Dr. M posted & not being "proven" is that "Victoria is not the villain/to blame" in whatever scenario caused her to take a "break" (and that's only because, as far as I can remember, there's never been a confirmation as to why she did take this "break"). Unless s/he created the rodeo drive account and it's the assistant director bit? Did I miss Dr. M's red herrings?
  19. I think it would be better if her hose weren't so dark. Big contrast there. A little makeup on her stomach area would also help lessen the contrast. No need to go to the tanning bed/get sprayed. Just lessen the difference a little.
  20. It does say the football side is being allowed exceptions, but it probably depends on how valuable the player is. 4th string = cut; starters = granted exceptions. It is a business, plain & simple. Players get covid (or have to be quarantined due to exposure) = have to cancel games = lose big bucks. They want those bucks. If a vaccine offers any protection from that (real or imagined), they are going to push for the vaccine. Business 101. They don't give a hoot about bodily autonomy if it might affect their bottom line negatively.
  21. Oh, I know -- I just laugh at how obvious their stance is. Just tell me how you really feel. 😂
  22. Man, that is a very one-sided article. Not saying it is right or wrong, just that you definitely know which side of the vax debate they are on (and it doesn't matter to me which side -- just that it's extremely one-sided). I did laugh at this part: "Jung could have given in. She could have allowed the Saints organization to dictate what to do with her body. Still, she stood her ground and decided it was her body and her choice, . . ." I don't know if the Saintsations are anything like the DCC, but the DCC are all over dictating what the cheerleaders do with their body: weight, hair color/length/style, appearance/behaviour (to a certain extent) off the field, etc. Requiring a vaccine doesn't surprise me -- especially when they have so many others lining up for that same spot. And she wasn't cut -- she chose to quit.
  23. Not sure they're going back to solo point anytime soon. They could have done it last year with Amy retiring (and their really not even being on the field except for the video), but instead chose to have Maddie & Rachel. And they could have done it this year with Maddie retiring, but chose to have Rachel & Gina instead. If they were ever going to give Rachel solo point, this year would have made the most sense. For whatever reason, dual point seems to be their new preferred formation.
  24. That's laughable (that if there are concerns within DCC, they'll come to light on national tv -- at least I hope Kelli would have the decency to do it in private). If it becomes a performance or publicity problem (or Kelli decides she doesn't like how she looks), they'll address it (hopefully in private). Do I think she is anorexic? No. Do I think she is over exercising (and probably not getting the proper nutrition for all that exercise)? Her stomach area sure looks like it. Does that means there is a problem? Who knows. For better or worse, this is a DCC forum and the girls looks, actions, etc. will be scrutinized and picked apart. Gina's not the first and won't be the last. Right or wrong, it's going to happen. If it's really bothering someone, this is probably not the place to be.
