Israel should also have his OWN ROOM! I don't think I've seen one post from Jill about a "guest" staying overnight in the guest room. He's going to need good sleep and I agree with the bed times for each child that you suggested.

7 pictures and one video. Gideon is too adorable and his laugh in video is priceless!

Seeing what his mother accomplished in the bolded part(bolding part mine), I'm really hoping that Derick encourages Jill to either get some education in something or at least a part time job(baby steps with the part time)when both boys are in school full time(hoping this will be the case). Jill will go out of her mind sitting in that house by herself all day by herself. We've seen the "before kids" Jill when she was constantly going by Derick at Walmart. Don't know what Derick will be doing with his "law" degree as far as a job, but it's not something Jill is going to be by his side the whole time the kids are in school. It will be interesting to watch what goes on in the next year. I also think that Derick saw the light much earlier than we think. I don't find him dumb in some sense of things. His beliefs are nothing with what I agree with and he does have quite a bit of cruelity in him, but he's pulled Jill away from her horrible parents. He also seems to be giving his kids(or at least Izzy right now)a chance at "normalcy" when it comes to school anyway. I'm sure this all hasn't been easy for Jill, but hopefully Derick is letting her see the light as well. It's been said that Jill has drank the most kool-aid in this family and maybe she thought she would have to have 20 kids like her mom. Whether she can have more or was told not to have any more, we will never know. If her not having anymore is Derick saying, "we aren't having 20 kids, we are done at two", then good for him. Jill can barely handle the two she has. I sometimes wonder if she has resentment that she didn't have a girl and may never have a chance to have that girl, but she I hope they are truly done with kids. I'm curious to see how she does with having to be on a schedule once Izzy starts school. As much as the kids need a schedule, she for sure needs one too. I think she'll be overwhelmed at first, but hopefully she'll adapt well and Izzy will absolutely love school and make so many new friends.

HA! I was going to ask if Jill was going to back that damn bib in his backpack every day? lol. I'm surprised, but not shocked. I just had a feeling Derick was going to put his kids in public school since he went to them as well. We've seen a lot less homeschooling videos as of late. Plus with whatever is going on with JB and Michelle, he wasn't going to follow in their footsteps. He has had to seen Jill's education level and as someone said above, knows homeschooling would not be great with her. I hope Izzy loves it and makes a ton of friends. It would be great to put Sam in a preschool, but since Izzy never was put in one, Sam probably won't either. This should be HUGE for Jill and maybe her stress levels will go down.

Without a doubt! Good grief! Lol. I can't even imagine what the wedding pictures she'll take will look like. I wonder if they will have enough make up for all the girls. I'm sure it will be put on a 1000 times more than they wear it now. Also, someone needs to teach Nurie and Nathan how to hold hands. Perhaps Anna. I'm still waiting for the picture of the two of them where Nathan doesn't look terrified. What a wedding this will be.

I saw that article this morning and it was horrifying. That poor child! Her GoFundMe page should be shut down and she should be charged with murder! Those cabinets looked better before Jill destroyed them. Those bedrooms make my skin crawl with all the clutter. With Nurie getting married and leaving the nest, it should be time for number 14..

I was going to say the same thing about the bike too small for him. I'm surprised he didn't have his bib on too..

Izzy and Sam are going to be wearing those bibs in college....oh wait....no college for them. Ok, they'll be wearing them on their wedding day...

I may be wrong, but I think on one of Jill's inst-stories, she said something about re-posting all her recipies. She had posted a ton on that particular story. Might be why we are seeing this one again and old pictures of Sam. I don't recall her reasoning for this, but maybe the leghumpers were asking for them.

She would video him getting stitches in the hospital and a thousand pictures of him laying in the hospital bed. Then she would make a video of herself telling us how exhausting and stressful it is to watch him.

Giddy up is too adorable and really does seem like such a happy child. His smile and laugh is contagious.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
Madtown replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
Every single time I see a picture of Anna, I think she had a facelift or Josh married someone else without Anna knowing. Even so, she still looks like a different person to me. -
I fully agree. My MIL has RA, back pain and other issues related to the RA. She was on Vicodin(can't take any asprin or ibprofen due to stomach issues) for quite awhile and it was the only thing that made her feel "normal". She never abused it, she sometimes didn't even take it if she could make it through the day. She would also sometimes wait till the pain was at it's worse, before taking one. Then one day when she called the doctor for a refill and she was told that she be on it anymore. The nurse that spoke to her actually thought she was abusing it, when in fact, the nurse read when the last refill was wrong. Doctor wouldn't prescribe it anymore. People that actually need stronger opioids, shouldn't suffer because of the ones that abuse them. Especially if you can prove that you aren't abusing them and acutally need them. @Nysha, I'm sorry for the loss of your mom. You shouldn't have had to go through all that with the morphine. I'm angry for you and with you.

Not to defend Jill and her "playing" at the library, but our library has so many kids activities. In fact the childrens seciton(which is in its own section of the library)has a dress up area where you can also put on a puppet show. There is also a kitchen set and several toys for older babies and toddlers to play with. They have a large closed in room where they have kid activites almost every day. I took the one child I watched there all the time. We played and then would sit on the comfy chairs/couches and read a ton of books. I would also checked out 30 books every two weeks to read to her at my house. We had the best time and made so many friends. Most libraries that I've been too, the children's section is no where near the adult sections. So if their children section is anything like ours, they probably do play. The sad part is, that unless Jill goes and finds all Jesus books, they probably don't read much or check any books out. I tend to think it's a place where Jill can let them loose for awhile.

Jill says: "Keep in mind social media doesn't show someone's entire life" It may not, but in that one insta-story, she looked totally defeated and stressed after putting the boys down. She CHOSE to show that on SM and talk about how her day is pretty much stressful till Derick gets home. I get venting here and there on SM, but don't be shocked when someone comments with their opinion.

Anyone else catch Jill's insta-story yesterday? She started with after putting the boys down for nap and talking about how stressful it is sometimes. She also said that she has to tell herself to gear up for when they get up because that is the otherr stressful time too, between nap time and when Derick comes home. Those are the crazy times. She started to say how she was trying to explain to Izzy, but then the video cut off and when she came back on, she didn't continue with that. So basically, her whole day is stressful until Derick comes home. Everytime I watch one of her stories where she's freakin' out on about the boys, I tend to wish that Derick would tell her it's ok to put them in pre-school. Even encourage her to go get a part time job, even if it were at Amy's store. She clearly can't handle the boys on her own very well and is always stressed out. What is she going to do when Izzy doesn't nap anymore, but Sam still does? How is she going to entertain the kid all day? Haven't seen any homeschool videos in forever either. The other part of her story was her at Amy's store modeling a ton of outfits. She said the boys were off watching PBS Kids. I didn't watch all of that because it was pretty long.

After reading your comment, I went to watch for the kids only. I only turned the sound on when I could see Spurgeon was speaking. At the 4 minute mark or so, Ivy looks at Jessa with the best, "will you stfu" look ever. lol. Why she needed to make a 15 minute video on how to entertain "friends" is beyond me.

As my MIL says..."If any of these anti-vaxers knew what it was like for people with polio and died of polio, they would think different. If they knew what it was like when the polio vaccine came out and people ran and waited days to get it and would do anything to get it, they might think different." I know several parents who haven't vaccinated their kids and wonder why they are always sick with something. I'm waiting for one of them to get the measles or chicken pox and see how that goes for them.
