Got my tickets to see Angela Lansbury in "Blithe Spirit" at the end of March (oy...I hate planning that far in advance) in DC. I have tickets to see Audra McDonald in concert the night before. Since Mr ebk is working the show, he will not be able to see Audra with me. He is sad. I am sad for him, but thrilled for me. It's gonna be a lovely weekend!!

But, if I recall correctly, Dave told the story on the show before it hit the papers (or other media. It's always "the papers" for me!) so he could get out in front of it. This has already been in the papers and it happened 10 days ago, so I don't see the upside of Dave bringing it up on the show. Stranger things have happened, though.

We're having brisket tonight. Mr ebk put it the oven last night about 11. He's now putting the brussel sprouts in the oven. Estimated time of yumminess - 45 minutes. I'm hungry!

Which is funny because the weekend I'm in North Carolina, he's in NYC! At my favorite theatre...

A friend was in town to work the local college football game, so we went out for Indian food tonight. I had the mulligatawny soup (I'm battling a cold at the moment, so it really helped) and the chicken korma. And wine :-) A lovely evening!

Sigh.... Sorry, that's all I got at the moment.

Wow Throws off my entire plan since we're flying back from Chicago Friday evening. I never figured I'd be missing Game 1...

We are in Chicago this week. Tonight we are eating at Boka. Report to follow if I'm not in a food/wine coma.

Having the camera guys running alongside the baserunners could make for an interesting viewpoint...except that they keep getting the cameramen in the picture when another camera takes the shot. Blech.

If you lived here in the Capital of The Free World , you'd hear a lot about him. He's really been nothing short of fabulous since his debut last year. And he's made the return of the Face of the Franchise - Ryan Zimmerman - a bit problematic. I am flummoxed at Matt Williams' decision to take Jordan Zimmermann out. I think he outsmarted himself there.

Brad Ausmus won't have to miss a game since the game today ended (seemingly just) before sunset and tomorrow is a travel day. Went to the game again today. Orioles Magic - Feel it Happen! :-)

Went to the O's game this evening. What an electric night at the ballpark!! I know I should get some sleep since I have to get up early for parking (!), but I'm a bit keyed up. And, there's more baseball on the TV! Great start for my team. Hope we can keep it going!

The good thing about the game tonight is that I get to go to bed before 2:30am. The not-so-good thing is that now the O's game on Friday is at noon, so I have to get up early to get parking. Woe is me... :-)

What a splendid start to the postseason! And it's over before 2am!!

I did see it, and it was awesome. I think he pie'd a couple of fans in addition to several people on-field. He's a lot of fun.

Did I mention the theatre is dark at the moment? Last night Mr ebk made butter chicken from a recipe he found in the NYT Magazine a while back. It was delightful. Tonight was what we used to call pizza burgers in my misspent youth - burgers with leftover spaghetti sauce, mushrooms and parmesan cheese. And wine. Yum!

The show is over, so Mr ebk is home again (I'm off the soup!). Tonight it was brisket rubbed in some sort of chili thing from Penzy's, and roasted cauliflower. Yum!! Mr ebk never liked cauliflower before (or at least thought he didn't), but since he's gone low-carb, he's discovered that he loves it. Yay for me! I will pass the recipe above on to him. Thanks! And a Most Happy Birthday WendyCR72!!
