  1. True. If she wants to remain relevant, she needs to take her game up a notch.
  2. As someone else mentioned, the fact that some companies want to only hire non-smokers is about the high cost of insurance premiums. Doesn't apply to Luann. I could care less what kind of requirements Luann has for her assistant. She can state her requirements clearly in the beginning, just like Bethenny can do when she hires someone. The thing I find odd is that Luann seems to find it a necessity. It sounds like she believes she is in some way vulnerable here, even with what someone does on their own time. If that is the case, I would think it much harder to continue to do her current job. There is going to be alcohol around. She has zero control over that. Folks in her social set are going to be drinking. If she is afraid of what her assistant is doing when she is away from her, how will she handle what folks are doing right in front of her? My BIL, when he got sober years ago, quit his job. He was in sales and, spent a lot of time on the road, entertaining clients and at meetings with co-workers who were drinking at dinner meetings and afterwards in the bar late into the night. He just didn't think he could handle that additional pressure, so he got a job where he wouldn't be around social drinking so often. This might be a better fix for Luann, if she is so fragile that her assistant cannot have a glass of wine in her apartment after work.
  3. So LVP is going to do her usual to Dorit. When she is pissed and wants to let everyone know she is pissed. Not in one-on-one situations, but in a group. Getting her digs in while trying to pretend it's her British humor. This is why I find it amusing when folks say that everyone knows LVP doesn't like the big group confrontations, like the one in NY. She loves big group confrontations. She just loves it when it is on her terms and she has total control of the narrative. She doesn't want a discussion, or a sharing of feelings between the hurt parties because she doesn't do well with "feelings". When that happens or when confronted, she gets up and walks away. But what she loves is to make others squirm. I don't feel one bit sorry for Dorit, because she is horrible. She should have been paying more attention and she would have known this was how she would be punished.
  4. It's interesting, because I think Kyle is more beautiful now that she ever was. Much more so than she was in her 20's, but even more so than when the show started. She is one of the only HW's that I see in flashback from years earlier and can honestly say, "wow, she looks just as good". Usually in flashbacks I am shocked to see what they have done to themselves in such a small number of years. I don't know what she does, but it sure does work for her.
  5. JMO, but I think good points are made by all regarding the teenagers on the show. On the one hand, they are still just kids. On the other hand, when they are putting themselves in a situation/profession where they are going to be judged by others, is it fair game? For me, I don't like to comment on them. Not because they shouldn't expect to be "judged" when they are putting themselves in the very career arena where it is all about being judged, but because I have zero idea how much of this is their decision. Maybe Mason is dying to be a model. Maybe it is her lifelong dream. Maybe it is not and she feels pressure by her parents or others. Maybe she is trying to live up to expectations. I have zero idea because she is really still a child. I don't know if she is big on being on the RH show or not. Maybe she was great with having cameras film the fashion show. Maybe she was super nervous about it. That is always my problem with these parents putting their teenagers on display on this show. Teenagers are prickly. They say dumb things. They often have poor judgement. They are easily offended or hurt. I hate seeing them be the focus for criticism when there are a whole bunch of grown-ups on the show acting like idiots who have 100% control over their choices.
  6. The things I learn on this forum....I like to consider it educational.
  7. I am not sure if the Duggar deal is as much about her hair being long, as it is that her hair looks ridiculous. Is she still sporting those short, curled-under bangs with that long shapeless hair? I think there are just general rules, but they don't work for everyone. You always read if you want to appear instantly younger, cut your bangs. It works like a miracle for me, but not for my sister. Not at all. I do think that LVP could use a haircut. Her hair drags down her face, but it also doesn't look healthy and it has no shape. Kyle on the other hand didn't look much younger to me with the shorter hair. She looked great, and different, but I didn't see younger. She is blessed with hair that is gorgeous, and she takes good care of it. She also updates it slightly on occasion, while still keeping it generally long. I also think that Eileen's long hair flattered her. And it can be the same with short hair. Not everyone can do a Rinna or Dorinda style. They look great on them, but not everyone would be able to pull it off.
  8. I don't think Kyle is pretending she didn't say anything. She told LVP that she was upset when she left the restaurant and that she said so to Dorit. She also said that she talked about Erika, but was mad because they were all saying the same things but only she was really called out by name, making it sound like she had the biggest issue with it. I also think the conversation that Kyle and Dorit had about LVP was different than when Dorit was talking about LVP at the dinner. Kyle and Dorit were both involved in the situation where LVP fled the restaurant. They were involved in the conversation. They both had feelings about it and were discussing those feelings with each other. They were not bringing in others. Dorit on the other hand was just throwing out gossip when she met the ladies for dinner in NY. None of the others had been at the dinner with Kyle and LVP. Only her. She was revealing things to people just to have someone/something to talk about. Same with the Erika conversation. They were all involved in the issue with Erika leaving early. They were all there, and they all had feelings about it. So they were sharing those feelings with each other. Kyle was mad because for whatever reason she was singled out. I would have been mad as well.
  9. She does seem to be getting involved. The thing that I think makes this season, and the issues between Kyle and LVP different from when they have had them in the past, is the supporting cast of characters. In the past lines have kind of been drawn and they have their "sides". Other people kind of pushing them, seeming to enjoy the drama between the two leaders of the group. This season I like the way that even though others are getting a bit involved, they seem to be attempting to use their power for good and not evil. I like that Camille, Teddi, and Erika seem to get involved in the interest of protecting the LVP/Kyle relationship. They know they are close and care about each other, and don't want to see petty drama get in the way of their relationship. It's a small shift in the usual dynamics of these shows. Often times it is the others who will make resolution impossible with insinuations and such. The dynamics of the cast this year is really good, I think.
  10. I liked the talk as well. I liked the way Teddi presented it, and the way that LVP processed it. It is not easy for LVP to admit fault, but when presented with the issue from someone that doesn't really have anything to gain - she likes both LVP and Kyle - she seemed more willing to just listen, admit how Kyle could have felt, and she apologized. My guess is the Kyle/LVP thing is done and LVP will move on to punishing Dorit.
  11. Is Dorit's hair done? Is this the look she is going to wear for the night?
  12. Love Rinna right now. "Do I really want to know what is going on.......I really want to know".
  13. When was that? I honestly don't remember. Maybe the first season of the OC show?
  14. Seems a bit strange to tell one of your best friends that you are really only friends with them because of their husband. I would not take that as a sign that we are really that close. But that is just me. I wonder if Dorit will feel the same?
  15. I think this is right. LVP always goes the "I love you route", and that is not always what is needed in the moment. LVP has not always been afraid to jump in an defend someone, even if she thought they were wrong, because they were her friend. She did it over and over with Brandi, and just a few episodes ago we saw her trying to help Dorit get herself out of the deal with the wine glass. Even though LVP hadn't been around the crazy conversations about which glass to use, she inserted herself in the drama to defend and help Dorit. I think this is all Kyle wants. LVP might have been processing what she learned that Dorit said about her, but she saw that Kyle was upset about what Dorit had said about Kyle. It wouldn't have taken much for her to just thrown Kyle a token bone and make it clear that she understood why Dorit talking shit about her made her upset. Erika played it perfectly. Didn't pick sides, but made it clear she understood why Kyle was mad at Dorit, and also why Dorit didn't like being screamed at by Kyle on her big night. She has known Kyle for 3 years, and is not nearly as close to her as LVP is, yet she was able to make sure Kyle knew she supported her. Oh, but I loved Kyle's reaction to LVP saying Dorit was one of her best friends, or her best friend, cannot remember which she said. Kyle was like "Bitch, please". I think this is the kind of thing that drives Kyle nuts about LVP. Kyle knows that Dorit is nowhere close to being one of LVP's best friends. And we all know it as well. And LVP pretty much confirmed it in the previews for next week, when she lets Dorit know that her affection for her basically comes through her affection for PK. I don't, but I will buy it. Not because of Erika, although I like her very much. I have never bought anything these wives have tried to sell me, no matter how much I like them. I will buy it because I loved Brian Moylan way before I had ever heard of Erika. Lots of people who would not otherwise care about a book based on Erika's life will buy it just to read his words. She was incredibly smart to ask him to do the job.
  16. If Adam's dream was to come on this show, date Carole for three years, and see some big boost in his career, he could have done a better job. We saw him rarely. He never got involved in the drama. He didn't talk about the other gals. He was just there in small scenes as Carole's boyfriend, but he hardly seemed to be promoting himself heavily to me.
  17. I love this post. I read some of the comments before I saw the actual episode. In the beginning, one person says that Erika was wearing white pants. Others agreed that she was, and suddenly there was a brief narrative that this was strange for someone bleeding so heavily and perhaps Erika was making the whole thing up. This went on for a while until it was pointed out that she wasn't in fact wearing white pants. That was Dorit. Just shows how things can get all muddled up, even among people who all watched the same episode. I had forgotten about this. I am sure it jumped out to Erika when she was watching the episode. Not much sympathy or understanding there from LVP.
  18. I wish she would believe Kyle as well. I hope that eventually she does. It reminds me of that scene in Pretty Woman. When Richard Gere asks Julia Roberts why she believes the bad stuff people say about her and lets it get to her, instead of the good stuff. She said that sometimes the bad stuff is easier to believe. I think it is human nature to a large extent. Erika wasn't deciding to be offended. She just was offended. That was her actual emotion. Just like LVP and Kyle will be insulted when they hear what Dorit was saying about them. Those are their actual feelings and emotions.
  19. But Dorit made it sound dire. She was all nervous acting when she brought it up. Acted like it was this huge deal. Erika kept trying to calm her down. "Just tell me" she had to say several times, as Dorit walked around in circles wringing her hands like she had to give her some really bad news. She made it sound ominous. She acted upset and conflicted, like she was terribly burdened. And since you rightly mention that Erika saw exactly what we saw, that isn't saying very much. We saw a couple of sentences. I would imagine the conversation went on longer. I have no idea if more was said (according to Dorit more was said, because people were "mad"). And according to Dorit, Kyle in particular had a lot to say, and since we didn't really see Kyle say much at all, is there more? I have zero idea, but my guess is that Erika thinks she was talked about poorly. Because of that bitch Dorit. She is the one who is to blame here. My guess is that if Dorit hadn't said anything, we would have never seen that footage, since it was filmed after the camera crew left for the night, probably by a Producer.
  20. Like someone else earlier said, I thought the huge breach of privacy by Dorit regarding LVP was going to be something much bigger than it was.
  21. I see your point, and Erika could have been more gracious towards Teddi in that moment, but remember that Dorit had just told her that they were talking about her and that they were "mad" at her. So she doesn't know exactly what was said (we don't either - we only saw a small part of it). She didn't know what got filmed and what all was said about her. But she does know that supposedly Teddi was "mad". So Erika believes she is the wronged party, but Teddi is the one who is upset. Possibly in Erika's eyes because she has been exposed in talking about her. In that moment Erika doesn't particularly care how Teddi feels because she was the one who they were gossiping about. But the thing that surprised me was later, at the dinner. Teddi knows that Erika is touchy about it all, yet she still repeats at dinner that it was all "weird". Just let it go. Erika wasn't saying anything bad about Teddi in that moment. All in all, there is a lot of wrong to go around.
  22. Sounds kind of like the flow of a lot of relationships. That is the way I saw it as well. I think, if anything, that Carole was more surprised that the whole thing lasted as long as it did. I don't think she pictured it that way in the beginning.
  23. I love Erika, but yes, I can see some thinking it weird. That is about it. They thought it weird. Like I think the fact that my vegetable hating son has become a Vegan is weird. No one was mad that we could see from the footage they showed to us. But Dorit has to go and make it this big thing to Erika, and of course throw everyone under the bus. There was no need to bring it up to Erika, but I guess maybe Dorit thought they might show the clip of the entire conversation and wanted to get in front of it? Either way, Dorit brought all of this drama. Again.
