Actually I think a lot of RO's problems on the show were caused by WG and the producers.....and the rest of the panel are cowered by WG.

I think the panel (except RO) is afraid of WG. ABC awakened a monster this season with WG. Especially with the threat of RO at the table. I'll always be thankful that RO came back, was kindly to BW in a sincere way, and added so much creativity to the show. Albeit with lots of hurtles to overcome. I refuse to watch the WG View. What is really going to bug me is when WG is kind to RO next week most likely. I still think the only way to save the show for this season is to bring back Joy......only if JB is willing to do so. Personally I wouldn't want to work with WG.

The comments on all the various sites reporting this are just sickening. And what baffles me is the hatred and lack of sympathy for Rosie. I can't even imagine knowing people like that. Peace RO.....

I feel so badly for Rosie. What an awful time for her. And WG has not made it any easier for her. The only thing for me to stay the rest of the season, perhaps, is bringing Joy back. Then we'll see about next year. I can't stand all the guest co-hosts....never really did. But, if true, I hope Rosie will find peace through this very difficult time. Sigh - now the vultures will start circulating. I can't imagine how painful that must be for her.

Good grief, could not agree more Medicine Crow. And then Fr usually boring. And Thursday's show ignored on Monday. Normally no clarification of the previous conversation. Instead we hear - I don't care what you say/think, I am a Republican, I am a Latino, I am a Lesbian, four days in a row, And Mario and guests hosts all this time for months. (This is all my opinion in this paragraph, and the rest.) They don't even need the MAKE SPARKS sign anymore. And as far as I am concerned they are fizzling. OTOH - I like the power RO brings to the show in her segments for the show and am looking forward to Martha Stewart tomorrow with them crafting.And I don't craft. lol. I wish WG would do another few segments on NYC sightseeing/experiencing. Probably too much work for her.

Great post Cosmoscrush! And you pointed out what was eluding me today....I as well thought it was Lance's latest lie involving his girlfriend. Man, I hate WG gets the last word, let alone after shouting (and usually pointing) NO. IT'S NOT! And then stealth bullying the person in an implying way. Cut to commercial. ETA - oops - meant stealth bullying, not steal.

Williams has turned into a celebrity journalist which is too bad. His integrity has been challenged. Now he will be remembered as the anchor that....... I officially cannot stand Whoopi anymore, and wish she had never awakened this season. I felt badly for RO, I agreed with her and it seemed to be the rest of the panel did as well. It was apparent to me WG was challenging RO and I would be pissed off as well. This is not embellishing a non-event experience for 12 years making it funny. The subject of being shot down by a missile which in a helicopter in a time of war and to insert yourself in that actual helicopter is a disservice to those involved, the military, veterans and their families and friends. His story should have been arriving up to an hour later and what had happened and going to happen. Brian did not "make a mistake" as he put it in his apology. He twisted the actual truth. He lied. I think RO would be a great friend. She stood up for Martha Steward and supported her as she paid for her punishment, and after. So I think RO can definitely forgive and also understands when people screw up.....and is self-aware she has as well....as most of us have at one time or another.

I think it's the attitude WG adopts when discussing this (over and over). It is just so nasty yet she has a valid personal view on the subject. It is the presentation of it that is ugly. And her bodily functions obsession......much like BW's sex and beauty obsessions, imo. Or SS's obsession with getting a huzzband.....and then keeping him. Other than SJ I can't remember any other co-hosts fascinations with these subjects.

Whoopi need not lecture Amazon about "Just Let Me Play".....they have used and and new in stock as we speak. She is so tiresome, sigh. eta - so does Barnes and Noble

I also think RP will be fazed out. And WG was talked to. Perhaps there is a clause in her contract that she is abusing yet she wants to be there for the pay and not leave due to her recent nonsense. And there is a standoff. Because her behavior doesn't fit the clauses. I think she may be happy to take the pay and not "work" on the show, but -no fit. I am actually a tad disturbed at her waking up after years and behaving the way she has this season. But then the whole show is a mess. Couldn't Martin Short be given 2 segments? The first few minutes are telling us who are the co-hosts, they kinda dance in, beam in their adoration........ lots of commercials, very short interviews,....and the last 5 minutes are commercials and bye bye! Somewhat like LIVE at the beginning....but The Chew just launches into their show, already seated and no intros. Refreshing, to me anyway.

We now are in sweeps (1/29 - 2/25). Good job View! And Whoopi....keep on telling us you don't care what we think of your view/s.

Friday shows are always pre-taped since Rosie started on the show years ago. And continued to be after she left. They work 4 days a week. The only exception was when McCain could come only on a Fri, irrc. Who knows....irrc that was the day EH forgot it was her daughter's first day of school which was odd for a Fri. Anyone remember that? The fact is they don't discuss current events on Fri and end up discussing the events from Thu and Fri on Mon which is way after the fact. Especially when they (and their producers) are STILL not informed. Even now that they are under the News rather than Entertainment division of ABC.

Happy to see Joy again because I like her. Not a lot of her tired jokes and derailing the conversation though, however that was not the case today. I've pretty much accepted the pretend game Fr is live and not pre-taped although they will never admit it. And this season they are showing earlier taped interviews and infomercials where it is so obvious. IE....Nicole in the vitamin info with Mario in the same dress and different days, one being on a Fr when she was in a different dress for the "live" show. Today Nicole was part of the interview with Antonio with Joy. Which brings me right back to Joy.......today she went on about being disappointed with not meeting Nicole since she was out ill.....then 20 minutes later the interview with Antonio. Go figure. Joy goes along to get along. When she had her HLN show I also felt she held back on this show to poach and better interview a guest on her own show.

What is also amusing, imo, NW is currently on The View....not post. So PTVS doesn't even apply. And had a more important work history (actually dealing with SP personally) than EH. Plus EH's claim to fame at the time was Survivor!

Totally agree Mumbles! Evidently the Fox panel new read or saw "Game Change." Or realize NW didn't even vote that election she was so disappointed in Palin being a heart beat away from POCTUS.....and she worked for McCain's campaign! And yep.....she brought up wardrobe-gate while on the campaign day with Palin......riding the bus with Piper, lol.

My Great Aunt ( Aunti Miinne) had a natural streak as well.....and she wore nylons, and a girdle. and a dress to the beach in Maui in the 60's. It happens to be true. Actually, in the 60's it was not uncommon for teens to do that, but hers was natural. And I am in my later 60's. But the teens were a blond streak, hopefully...

Last year wasn't better, imo, what with the Year of Barbara, and SS. Jenny was hired to bring the fluff....and did. Not that I liked the fluff brought by JM. Or JM. This year they have a new EP, and moved it to the News Division, Nice try but not working. Too many cooks and not s good mix of co-hosts. And why is there not any thing in the media about WG's behavior and value to the show? And GMA, Kelly and Michael, and The Chew getting better guests?

I wish Whoopi had never waked up this season after her snooze fest the last couple of years.I agree And also think she is threatened about RO's moderator skills.....and was from the get-go this seasonhe . She must have a great DR with her wealth, insurance and connections and yet she is so ignorant about her condition. I find that hard to believe .Especially the way she moves. The way she moves her body, imo, is very suspicious with a serious back problem. And she is not talking about physical therapy etc. I am so over her.

I haven't been posting for a while......my laptop crashed and I was on a miniature tablet and I'm a keyboard/mouse kinda girl. But have a new laptop now. I remember earlier this week when Whoopi not only wagged, pointed and shook her finger at a co-host, and us, but she did it with both hands at the same time. I hope she doesn't return, along with RP. But not seeing any viable replacements from the guest co-hosts. And no BW! It is so perplexing the host's agents don't rein them in from the feed back....but maybe they are yes-people for their living. Let alone the producers and ABC....just from the feedback. They can still make sparks from being prepared......just stop the cross-talking and yelling. I'm all for gays, Republicans, mothers but please show, stop announcing it by all the hosts....we know you by now. Labels are not needed. And get away from the 12 year old kids jokes about "balls." As far as Nicole- "I get goosebumps" ETA - and please get better guests - other shows on ABC like GMA, Live, and The Chew manage to book them.

I don't think Rosie P was happy on the show and would ramble on....then say some variety of - don't put words in my mouth' and ramble on a little more. So, could be. And ABC probably wouldn't have to pay her for the rest of her contract if she left.

I think it is so hilarious when Sherri plays the "I'm a comic" card. Now it's an unemployed her doing standup for a fee, being in 2 movies or so, and has a recurring role on her friends show. Nicely Nash, iirc. And the radio gig, and Lux. But then she loves to say she was a co-host on The Talk and something else when she really was a GUEST co-host.

ITA Fannysue..... IMO no men needed on a show for and about women as a co-host. Let alone a loud comic. That derails the conversation and goes on and on and on........and on.
