  1. This whole episode seemed staged. All of Ricky's lovey-dovey "Sure, babe, anything you say babe, you got it,babe", then they get engaged, and next, out of the blue are estranged. Everything was phony baloney. The sister Sharon was there to add more fake drama.
  2. How many stories involve the lead actress falling in love with a holly jolly snowman turned into a hunky human guy? I only remember one but for some reason think there are more. Must admit I'm a sucker for Frosty.
  3. Thanks! I missed the second half (switched over to CNN's Princess Di min-doc) but the first part was indeed a refreshing change. I agree about the realistic holiday decor in Mama Belle's Harlem apartment/townhouse. When they went for dinner at the neighborhood restaurant, I at first thought the owner was celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson. Looked just like him, lol. But of course it wasn't, lol. In the opening scene, her boss says "So, are you catching a flight to London or taking the A train home?"
  4. I am sure A Holiday in Harlem will adher to all the Hallmark tropes -- dead parent(s), hot cocoa, Xmas decor overkill, workaholic female lead having to choose between her "We're a team" similiarly overachieving current boyfriend in marketing and the high-school sweetheart doing non-profit work in their old neighborhood, etc. It's comforting to know that the channel's (welcome) inclusivity can be just as hollow and boring as their "regular" characters and storylines. True democracy!
  5. What is this stuff about Christmas being a time for miracles and all things wonderful? Do you know what I say to this? (excuse my French) BULLSHIT!!!!! Because more family murders and mayhem occur during this holiday (with Thanksgiving being the follow-up) than any other! I know, I watch too much Dateline I.D. and Snapped.....
  6. Firefox and Microsoft 10, Microsoft Edge. I don't know what other information I need to give.
  7. Well, I'm having these problems only with Primetimer. I use Firefox and Microsoft Edge. Not sure what other information you might require as I am very low-tech. Perhaps the problem is right under my nose and is an easy fix but I just don't know how to do it but since this is only happening with Primetimer and nowhere else, I'm just stumped..... Sorry to keep bombarding you with this but I just don't know what else to do. Home Shopping is one of my favorite threads and I can't imagine not having the joy of continuing my participation with all of you.... I don't have a smart phone, only one of those ancient flip-top models. I use a PC. Not a desktop. As I say, I am very ignorant of a lot of basic computer/Internet problems....
  8. Nothing works. Truly do not know what to do. Carolyn Gracie is returning from vacation tomorrow -- my snarking must continue!!
  9. I am Googling trying to find information that will help me change all this vertical Primetimer text back to the normal horizontal text but it is very confusing. This all seemed to start with your updates. I have no problems anywhere else on my computer with any other sites.
  10. Please explain -- what device would that be? As you can tell I am practically computer and tech illiterate.
  11. Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Microsoft Explorer. I am having this problem with all of Primetimer. It seemed to all start with these updates. I am truly at my wit's end. H e l p
  12. I am still in dire need of help with all this. I cannot even access my personal messages. I can send them but am unable to reply. And am still experiencing this format: H e l p
  13. Oh, dear..... I will try to provide you with a screenshot although I am not adept at these things.
  14. Help!! My problem is still continuing -- elongated and vertical ("Chinese") formatting -- makes it impossible to read without going stark staring mad. This cannot go on! Please do something!! TIA
  15. My reply boxes are all elongated and the print, the type, is vertical, so it looks "Chinese" Plus, next to this I am seeing other posts from several years ago, also vertical. This is only happening in the Shopping Channel forums, not in any other Primetime threads. HELP!! I can post, but it comes out vertically. Windows 10, Firefox
  16. Yes, everything is synthetic. Saw parts of Frozen in Love again, the one where they talk significantly about H.G. Wells' War of the Worlds and alien invasion in general. Still creepy for a supposedly "romantic" channel. People think I'm crazy when I keep saying that Hallmark is just.....not HUMAN.
