Louie is a manipulator. Approaching Melissa’s mom and saying “don’t be mad at me” - he wants to be seen as the reasonable/good one in his relationship w/Teresa. It serves his ego. He’s gross.

I’m think Marlo commented on her girls being worthy of 5 star treatment because their situation in life might tell them otherwise. I didn’t grow up in foster care, but I imagine u could end up feeling bad about yourself and as if u are not worthy of nice, new things or experiences. I doubt every outing involves a trip to a super fancy restaurant or a trip to Gucci but I think she wants them to know that such places exist and that they can hope and dream beyond their current situations. And we don’t know that she’s not encouraging their education and helping them develop life skills. We saw a very small snippet of her charitable work. She’s doing more for girls in foster care than I am, so I’m not going to judge her with respect to her charity.

Why not take them to 5 star restaurants, though? I have a couple of kids and once or twice a year (pre-pandemic), we would go to super fancy restaurants just because it’s a special treat. And we don’t know that Marlo isn’t selling her clothes and donating that money to the charity - at least, I don’t know that. I know I sound like a Marlo apologist and most of the time I think she’s terrible (like when she was so rude to Kandi about the clothes), but I’m giving her a break on wanting to make kids in foster care feel extra special.

While she should have softened her response, I understand Marlo’s point. It’s a special thing to be able to have and wear NEW clothes. That’s not an experience that enough children have, unfortunately. And I don’t think it’s about the labels for Marlo. It seemed like it was more about letting girls know that they are worthy of new items. But hell, even if it was about labels, so what? How fun and special would it be to receive designer clothes?

So Sanya made it pretty clear that she’s only on this show to promote her website, which is fine, I guess. But I think she was disingenuous when she said she invited Kandy and Kenya to participate in the shoot b/c she grew close to them in NYC. She wanted them in her photo shoot b/c they’re the two Atlanta housewives with the most celebrity attached to their names, period.

Everything else aside, I think it’s odd that Rinna would out herself as someone who didn’t donate to the charity and was just looking to be there and be seen. She shot herself in the foot when she brought up securing seats through IMDB. Why the hell would she want to be known as the person who does whatever possible to avoid actually buying tix??

The whole charity thing confused me. Didn’t Rinna acknowledge that she sat at Sutton’s table that night? How could she do that if the table was cancelled? Did I mishear something?

Why are Ralph and Drew married? This is exhausting.

I think Delores sees through Luis and understands he’s potentially a danger to Teresa and that’s why she immediately said she was fine with not being invited. Maybe she thought if she made a big deal about it, that would give Luis a reason to be upset with Teresa and maybe isolate her from Delores. The guy seems like a nut job.

So Tiki couldn’t bother to help the party planner carry that huge box to the backyard? Or at least ask if she wanted help? Terrible.

I really wish Dolores would stop wearing shoes with chunky heels. They do her no favors.

Nikki’s comments about Gizelle’s looks were plain mean. The woman is gorgeous. Does she look like she did 6 years ago? No, none of us do. It was all very ageist.

And this was the moment that Erika made it crystal clear that she knew Tom was stealing money from his clients. Initially I wasn’t sure if she knew but her answer to that question sealed it for me. And my goodness, she looks worse and worse as the hours tick by. It’s like her face is the physical manifestation of all the ugly things she and Tom have done.

Wow, Ashley clearly didn’t want Michael to keep going on about Juan. I wonder how often that happens? As for Mia, she seems to have a lot of resentment towards her mom. I think publicly shaming her is Mia’s way of getting back at her. I mean, she has to know she’s not painting her mom in the best light, right?

I have a lot of empathy for Kathy. Her breakdown last night made it clear to me that she has not truly processed her mom’s death - even after all these years. Losing a parent is so, so hard (I speak from experience), but if you don’t allow yourself to face your grief, you end up emotionally stunted. w/respect to Erika, I remember when the episode aired where Tom was regaling the ladies w/his stories, I thought something felt off about him. Erika seemed very nervous - almost like she was hoping he wouldn’t do/say anything untoward. It was such an odd scene. I’m no fan of hers, but I do think Tom was struggling at that point. And if that’s the case, I would love to know why she encouraged him to be on the show…

Some of these women need to fire their stylists stat. And what is going on w/Erica’s face? Is it just weight gain? Bad makeup? She looks so different.

I know a lot went on between Candiace and Mia, but I’m still stuck on G and his cringeworthy behavior. Yikes.

Candiace called Ashley a filthy milkmaid. 😂

My goodness, Gizelle has zero emotional depth. I thought she was dismissive and even cruel to Robyn tonight. She was fixated on Juan’s reaction to Robyn versus looking at the reasons for her friend’s “laziness”. I put that in quotes b/c I don’t think she’s lazy at all. I think she’s depressed- who wouldn’t be given the last year and half we’ve had? But Gizelle would rather judge her good friend than try to offer emotional support. She’s awful.

Maybe Wendy is behaving the way most women do post cosmetic surgery - in terms of being excited to show off her body. Unfortunately in her case, it reads as desperate b/c we’re seeing it every week.

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head and it perfectly explains Wendy’s dislike of Mia. Mia stole Wendy’s thunder at her reveal party by being an over the top oversharer. Add to it that Mia has a strong physical presence (tall like Wendy but more voluptuous) and that seems to be all Wendy needed to fuel her dislike. Although in retrospect it’s not surprising that Wendy is extremely insecure - she spent all last season reminding us of her academic credentials. Only an insecure person would find a need to do that repeatedly.

I’m really curious about Mia’s involvement in her business. She looked like she was playing dress up at the office - like “professional Barbie” and she can’t seem to speak intelligently about it. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I loved Luann’s outfit at the party. I wonder what the guys who were invited to the party were thinking? They were at least 15-20 years younger than Ramona and Sonja. They seemed out of place.

Why is Wendy dumbing herself down this season? I don’t get it. And was anyone else cringing when she tried to intimidate Mia at the salon? At this point, I would pay her to revert to “I have 4 degrees Wendy” instead of this “zen Wen” nonsense.

I really appreciated that Crystal was the only one who remained in the kitchen to help Kyle. Everyone else was on the couch listening to Erika with baited breath. I don’t know if Crystal was simply being considerate or if she smells bs and wants to distance herself from Erika.
