I took it to mean that she got another “job” with the dcc for as long as she can’t dance? Because she’s already a 2gl, so it’s not really new. Honestly, i’d hoped she would retire. No reason to stay with a team that doesn’t care about your talent -and yes, I was strongly anti-Gina for point BUT she’d be better than Amy for sure, for me at least also better than Maddie. At the very least, she needed to be in the triangle but might get there with lexie gone? Oh and they better give pbc to heather, especially after snubbing her yet again in favor of VK. She doesn’t deserve this.

Amen sister. There’s no way to justify this, end of story. I just wish this has happened with someone like Holly, would people be ok with Kelli moving a rookie into a prime spot even if said rookie is arguably one of the best they’ve ever had? Because this isn’t just about VK, we know damn well that rookies are treated as second class citizens, so moving VK as a rookie to the front is just mindblowingly stupid. We were all prepared anyway to see her front and center from the moment she got her vet status, was it really soo hard for Kelli to wait out the season? She has approximately 7 more years to watch her beautiful storm as point, chill woman. Why on earth would Meredith’s position change due to this? She wouldn’t go into VK’s spot anyway, as only SG rookies are getting front positions. They’ve been changing positions for every game, so I doubt moving Bridget or Heather for example into a new spot would change much. If anything, now that they’re down to 36 everyone gets one assigned spot for the rest of the games, which is easy to learn and get used to. Then I assume all stars will fill in if and as needed as they used to.

She wasn’t in the back really, so that’s definitely not the reason. I can’t believe i’m going to say this, but BRING CASSIE BACK. She never got such a blatant preferential treatment -yes, I’ve always been on her case and hell no she wasn’t even going to get on the team without her mommy. But even she had to wait a few years before she got all the special prizes. Btw Amy’s insta take over was the best so far and I definitely want to point out that all girls responded to her for the obligatory bus shot... so far, they’ve only ignored VK and I think we can all understand why...

That’s your answer! 🙂 Please let’s not focus on the theft rumor- I personally do believe it, but we’re giving people something to defend her on instead of talking about something that certainly happened, is a 100% unfair and no one can defend in any logical way.

And for the last game of the season, BOTH points will be out and VK will step up to cover for them!!! I’m really sorry to hear that. Why didn’t they move a vet into that spot though? Caroline or Bridget? Or you know, maybe the one GL who isn’t part of the triangle? There are vets, period. You can’t put a rookie upfront when you have 30 vets. I hope there’s a mass exodus next year as I have no idea how they’re going to justify putting a rookie upfront. If anyone still thinks there’s no nepotism involved, I definitely want to hear your take on that-no shade, i truly mean that as i just really can’t recall a time a rookie was put upfront? Do you think it’s fair whether we agree VK is strong enough to be up front or not? And this is supposed to be a squad that focuses a bit too much on seniority and “rookies knowing their place”. VK of course!

Well said and I certainly don’t think Chantal was his side piece or whatever -and definitely don’t care, this isn’t really our business. However, I’ve seen the argument that x dcc is so sweet, no way she would be involved in any funny business. 90% of them act sweet and cute, I really don’t buy these beauty queens, top performers at their schools and blah blah blah are completely nice and non competitive towards each other. Not saying they can’t form genuine relationships, but they’re not as cute as innocent as the brand implies.

She didn’t show anything... not that we get that many actual behind the scenes shots from instagram, but she’s the only one who put herself into every single shot she posted apart from the bus shot-and that’s because she couldn’t do it. Yes, Alanna too. No other rookies and plenty of vets to go... That’s the thing though, they won’t let any other deserving girl take the spotlight and she’s a rookie. We’ve been told a million times that rookies are like bottom tier and vets always take preference and yet we can’t escape VK. She will be there for at least 5 years and we all know she will become a GL and point (though i hope she gets a great 2GL as I can’t see her teaching anyone, especially when most dccs actually have experience from college teams and she doesn’t), they have plenty of time to show her off. Just imagine how her 50th game will be celebrated...

I couldn’t agree more. Yes, most of us here actually like her and were curious because she seemed really happy. But we don’t speculate about dcc’s private lives just because they are dcc, but because they post about their lives online. You can’t be open in your social media and expect people to never discuss your posts. That’s why I never post about really personal stuff and i’m not even a “local celebrity”.

I think it’s the first time so many girls are in touch with a cut girl. Most of the time they stop hanging out, or it’s one or two girls staying in touch (like little Heather and Allie with heather).

Well then I guess, like Erica or not, whatever her motives actually were, good for her. I don’t see the girls protesting getting more money now, but we all know certain people condemned Erica and said that this isn’t about money... maybe then the current team should be giving the “extra” money to charity since this isn’t about money and asking for a fair pay is disgusting and all. Maddie ain’t going anywhere, unless her injury prevents her from re-auditioning. I actually hope Tess retires even if Maddie stays-no idea how Tess ended up in the triangle and Heather was shoved further back. She’s too tall and stiff for her spot.

Well I’m sorry, but I’d pity any girl who would choose shaking her ass all day long for thirsty men and 150$ over attending a close friend’s wedding. I like the video, but most girls were just thrown together and yet they had extra time for certain people like *ahem VK*. They do seem to consider Maddie their official point...

This is disgusting... After all the negative press NFL has gotten for their treatment of cheerleaders, multiple squads being eliminated and a lawsuit from Erica, they decided that NOW it would be a great time to force a girl to spend her whole day on call, without being paid or being able to find a different gig for the day to make money or you know, take a day off just to have an alternate and not have to pay an all star? Are you serious? I sure hope this gets te attention it should. I’m fine with one girl sitting out (although you can’t convince me that Meredith has outdanced all these vets and it should be a rookie sitting out each game, not a vet), but if you don’t pay her, don’t force her to be there.

I think it’s quite different with the guest choreographers. First of all, they’re industry connections and they’ve just spent a whole night teaching them. And having to pose on your knees etc for hours on end and then prolonging it so that a random kid gets a photo IS annoying and obnoxious. If that was one off it would be fine, but she’s doing it every damn year. At least now she’s old enough to behave, but think about the poor girls who had to wait until she stopped crying or throwing a tantrum to take the photo.

I assume she will participate in “higher-level” pageant or be involved in a pageant in some capacity-it’s a big part of the show. But you’re right, even though Bob realizes that Patty is out of control, I don’t want to see them working against each other. It’s messed up, but the whole show has the same feel to it!

I just finished the whole season and I have to say I liked it. I don’t know how they’re going to continue this story, but I’d hate it to finish with bob in prison for something he hasn’t done. Magnolia was annoying to me in the first season, but she was amazing this season.

To be fair, Maddie has had issues with her weight for a while now. Not sure if she was in ww in her rookie season, but definitely has been ever since.

Gabby got the sideline calendar and posted about it to support her friends. What a class act!

Apart from the teeth that stick out all the time, she always looks SO pink. Marshall made her hair look amazing during the cameo shoot, can’t they get someone to help her with her hair and makeup for games at least? I can’t believe TPTB let them go out in public without makeup. Unbelievable!!! Her hair looks blond-ish here and I actually like the color here. I know it’s just the lighting but it’s nice.

Yeah, Kelli’s response to that disaster was “we need to help her find her words”. ????? Name one girl who has ever gotten such a response instead of a omg she’s such a liability, no way she can chat up a president like all dccs do all the time!!!!

I’d add Erica and JenK too- they’re not very popular anymore, but both have excellent technique, very clean and powerful moves and can dance different styles. But you can’t really fix memory problems! Any girl with memory problems will certainly benefit from extra assistance throughout the season and multiple TCs, but that would always be a struggle for them. Now, someone who is a “take home” learner, or not very clean/sharp or not powerful etc, yes they would benefit tremendously from extra training and support. Even with no extra help, VK (and Lily and Kristen) spend so much time in TC last year so she probably had time to learn all the dances, or at least the majority of them. When you spend months practicing the same moves over and over again, you will “come back stronger” no matter what. That’s why they normally expect the comeback girls to be almost at vet level.

She did the entrance last year as well, so she should have been perfect at this. They always expect comeback girls to be at their top game in everything they’d covered the previous year, so VK should’ve been kept to that standard as well... I don’t understand why Tess made it over Heather. She’s never been that strong, she’s too tall for the spot and has a harsher look than Heather. Tess would have been fine behind the point, but she spends most TS in the triangle.

Honestly, they’ve started placing more emphasis on technique than being fun to watch and ended up with fewer girls with great technique AND very very few who are really exciting to watch. I don’t know how they did this...

Yeah, they are all average at this style, but Gina and Erin especially are truly phenomenal. No idea how they ended up with these four. And say what you want, the first time they highlighted “sideline sweetheart” it just so happened to be when VK would be featured as well. And they couldn’t resist having her go first in this new thing when they have VETS who are much better at this style.

Striking out on her own? She’s ended up with some kind of job with dcc after “interning” with cmt. I’m glad she has bigger dreams than dcc, but she’s hardly an example of an independent young woman finding her own path. No one said tall girls need to be quiet or shoved in the back. But when you tour something you don’t get up front when you know people behind you can’t see anything because of you. Especially when you get a private tour of something you’ve already seen so there’s no reason for you to be up front. It’s common courtesy, whether you’re 6’ or 5’5” with a very petite person behind you. It makes more sense in such an environment. And I bet you don’t have cameras shoved in your face while he’s offering counsel! Aand you’re not forced to talk about your feeling in front of said cameras. Who would dare to correct little miss perfection???

May I note that Abigail is one of the few (only one i’ve ever seen, i’m assuming there are others) former dccs that have 0 mentions of dcc in their profiles? No uniform profile picture, no yay football season is on post, no throwback pictures or “former dcc” in her bio? I thought that would have count against her with Kelli... Yeah, totally not for publicity. That’s why she chose to do this privately or on a non-filming night -oh wait... Jenn was only one year at point and stopped at 4 years. Maddie can easily follow her lead... Thank you for this comment! Sam has Cassie’s tiny lips and VK’s teeth. There’s definitely room for her within dcc as long as Kelli is there, but I’m glad she has bigger dreams than that. Although, she does benefit from mommy’s connections too, she just chose a more discreet path with actual career prospects. I know it’s mean, but no she isn’t conventionally pretty and she doesn’t have to be.
