Uhm, I wouldn’t say so... she’s not that strong in the clips I’ve seen on her insta and her reaction isn’t that great really. Quite frankly it sounds like she felt entitled to a better ranking without the skills to back it up. But it does seem to prove that the previous years they’d move more girls into semis and finals that weren’t that strong. Looks like this year we had a lot of real contenders and I hope this rookie class is better than last year’s.

No chance in hell they have that many legit submissions, since they’ve been promoting the auditions SO hard until the very end and it seemed really desperate. I’m sure they got more candidates than in the past year and sorry to say it, but it looks like girls that have very slim chances to make it took advantage of the no-cost process (and the low risk they’d be humiliated) and went for it. It’s not necessarily bad, but this doesn’t mean that they got more “good” candidates than the previous years.

Honestly, I’m pretty sure she will be one of these alumnae that look much much better after retiring. She looks older than she is and that’s just her face, it’s not bad per se. But she will look much better and healthier once she’s allowed to gain some weight. Erin’s transformation was much more impressive. Maddie needed confidence and that’s all she’s changed. Erin in just one year managed to completely change from a ballet dancer to a powerhouse. THAT is impressive. Yeah well i’ve never been a fan anyway, but can hayley go away? It’s their team I get it, but on what authority is she participating in the podcast? Why can’t she even try to get a real job and then come back to the team to take over from her mommy when the time comes? At the end of the day, it’s what’s best for the company as well; if they’re going to place only family members in the top positions, they better make sure they have some experience to actually do their jobs. Same goes for Sam. There are many qualified people out there to work on social media, why is Sam getting the role other than being the director’s daughter? Yeah, that segment would be great for the inevitable time when she gets GL, point and probowl. It would make more sense to show her “transformation”. No one cares about the road from tcc reject to rookie. Except for Tina and Kelli of course. This one? She’s really annoying... I wouldn’t mind seeing her getting cut to be honest. She’s bff with VK though so she’s secure.

Well, most of these girls don’t have the look...harsh, but it is what it is. And what the hell was that girl in the red swimsuit thinking? Watch one season of mtt and you’ll see how much Kelli loves this kind of photos (unless they’re part of her calendar of course).

Well if they were going for GL, pretty but (for some, I don’t personally agree) vanilla, comes off good at media segments, the only option this year was Heather. Much better than can’t-get-a-word-out Maddie and can’t-stop-talking-with-the-creepy-smile Amy. As for Lacey, it wasn’t just about her being soft spoken. Quite honestly, she was a blender not because she wasn’t good but because she wasn’t trying to be seen before the Holly/Jenna/Erica drama. She got lucky because they left and Kelli started focusing more on the mature teammates. Before Kashara got point, Lacey was very soft. She really stepped up at the end, but she had already lost point by then. However, I doubt this is officially part of point decision making. Holly rarely spoke, but she was succeeded by JenK and Kash, both of whom were good at public speaking. I refuse to believe it too. Unless she’s dragging Tess and Maddie with her on the way out... I refuse to believe these 2 ended up as 5th years out of their rookie class. Yes, I’m in denial.

And that’s a GL, point girl, 4th going on 5th year vet. Not a rookie. Don’t give them credit they don’t deserve. They put her in Gina’s position as a rookie and they only reason she was moved back (and by back I mean in a 4th year, GL’s position, not in a “rookie” position) is because she messed up and got a lot of negative comments before they deleted the video. They have their “excuse” to move her as a vet right there, no need to wait until she’s been there for a while. With jinelle it was so weird because they got really emotional over her decision to retire and chose her to basically go back into the team for a 6th year since she danced in every game. And she looked far better than amy and maddie, so she deserved better imo.

That would effectively demote Tess though, since she’s currently spending more time within the triangle instead of behind point? I still think it was an awful decision to bring such a tall girl into the triangle and place Amy behind point for most of the performance. It looks extremely unbalanced but I’d be fine with this if said tall girl was exceptionally strong buuut... I’d assume they’d go further into the season, which would be interesting both because they haven’t done that in a while and because I assume there will be new challenges with the current situation that they could cover

There is one more difference though, Gina even as a rookie was light years ahead of VK. And that’s coming from someone who couldn’t stand her. she would deserve getting bumped up but it would still be a jerk move. VK on the other hand doesn’t deserve the spot she was gifted. Not that there’s any chance they would ever let a rookie get a prime spot outside of VK. It’s pretty well documented that rookies need to “know their place” and act like they’re beneath vets. Not Vk though...

That’s exactly what i did last year and I don’t think I missed out on much. I’d watch the “recap” clips they’d upload and ff any clips with VK.

I mean, why would you do a “then and now” for a rookie? Brennan I’d understand, she is a vet and went through tc 3 times. But normally i’d expect such a video for alumnae or maybe 4-5th year vets. Seriously now, we know that she’s sticking around for at least 4 more years, why do they have to feature her that much from her rookie year? Yeah seriously... who needs 38 minutes of a rookie? Especially someone who is ALWAYS featured. She’s not that much interesting, we get it, her whole life is dcc. Show me some of the girls who have interesting jobs, demanding degrees, who do charity work etc. not someone who has nothing else going on for her.

Honestly, they will be doing the exact same choreos again. They might be taught 2-3 new choreos (if they are allowed to bring in guests) which really isn’t much and it’s usually the same moves in different combinations. If a vet struggles that much in TC with the same recycled combos, they deserve to be cut.

You mean like giving her Gina’s spot as a rookie, meaning that she was placed in front of one of their GLs who’s also a SG member and 4th year vet? I do hope they won’t do it this year. I’m sure she will get a 2nd GL position in her 3rd year, but she is quite immature and doesn’t have prior team or instructor experience. Heather did and she was only picked because they had to cover for Erica’s cut, not because they wanted a 2nd year for the role. Jen was older and with lots of instructor/coaching experience so really, she could have been a Gl from her rookie class already. VK just doesn’t have leadership qualities and I personally don’t think they need to give this responsibility to girls just because they’ve been there for a few years now unless they actually have the skills. in any case, we know that she’s going to stay for at least 5 years if not more and we all know she will end up with a job in dcc much like Sam and Charlotte’s daughter. They should hold off giving her prominent placements and positions, imagine having her as a GL for 6 years. I think a lot of the girls have experience. Bridget was a captain in her team so honestly, she could have been a 2GL already this past season.

I’m assuming that given that they can’t produce any episodes over the audition process, they will change the TC format. If all goes well and they are able to have a normal TC & season, then they have plenty of candidates to film. I’m sure they have some kind of plan in case they can’t do tc at all, but I don’t like the fact that they want all final candidates to “report to dallas”. That means that they will force a lot of people who would never normally advance to tc to relocate to dallas just to be cut a few weeks later. Unless of course they go with only local candidates but Kelli wants to be able to say that they have girls from all over the country.

Ok I don’t really get it, how is it going to work? All vets are going straight to finals, but that means we’re going to have the same number of new girls normally advancing to finals go straight to TC? And I guess this rookie class was quite lucky as I doubt they’ll cut vets during TC even under these circumstances.

She has a prep choreo in her stories -I can’t say I’m a big fan, I would give it another year. But I also hope they will tone down the blonde during the makeovers, although it’s similar to Lexie’s so Kelli probably likes it... It just looks too fake and barbie-ish for me (on both ladies).

Well if you too follow the rules we have in most european countries, you can only visit a salon with an appointment and there are limits on how many people can have appointments at the same time. They haven’t opened yet, but most are reporting that they are fully booked until end of june...

I like the first one, but she seems a bit young? Good on her for taking all the online prep classes, but I don’t think she’s ready yet. Just a thought though, I truly hope they will continue with at least some online prep classes in the next years as well. I’m assuming they get even more people signing up as they don’t need to pay to get to Dallas and i’m sure these prep classes are good for those planning to audition to other teams too. It may give the opportunity for more girls to audition since few people have the means to fly to Texas multiple times just to get seen.

I kinda do believe it, but I think it’s kinda expected in this team to share these things with Kelli so i’m not going to judge her based on that. I think she was truly amazing and she should have stayed for longer. I’d rather have “fatties” on the team like Melissa, Megan, Jen and Kashara who just bring it every time, than being bored to death by skinny lackluster dancers like Amy and Tess at point/triangle.

No... There's just something about her, I don’t even know why I don’t like her. I also think it was a bit stupid of her to put so much focus on what she did as a DMD. No other girl spent so much time talking about her former team and her sorority.

A full team to do what? Appearances only? They only send out a few for each appearance and I doubt they’ll have that many if people are still restricted in the coming months. And I don’t think a dancer should gain the vet status by going on appearances in grocery stores instead of actually performing. that’s not really the reason why I think they won’t go with a full squad though -charlotte doesn’t even want to pay for a 37th person to be on the field. I don’t see how she will accept the cost of 36 dancers who can’t perform, unless of course they call half of the girls “alternates” and pay only the ones who get to perform or go in appearances- but then we would have 36 girls having to adhere to all rules for the chance to get paid once in a while.

I don’t get the rush honestly. She got engaged around Christmas, but I assume she wanted a summer wedding and didn’t want to wait for a year and a half. I’d postpone it though, as long as there are no associated costs. Not sure it would be worth the risk.

I have quite a few favorites from her rookie class i’d rather see in the triangle first, but I do think she’s better than anyone in the current triangle. I for sure think she needs one more season and that Bridget, Caroline, Jalyn, Alanna, Rachel, Amber or Hanna deserve a spot already. What a great rookie class! Honestly, if done well it doesn’t look bad. Amanda’s looked amazing in the no-make up photos from the campout. VK’s were horrific in the insta story and a lot of these girls are overdoing it. It may look good during the games but not in everyday life, so why can’t they just add some fake lashes on the day of? Sounds cheaper too... i think their mistake is that they go for length, to the point where their lashes reach their forehead; it looks better when you just add volume (same goes for fake lashes as well).

I don’t think they’ve talked about what would happen if there’s no season/no fans allowed in the stadium. Maybe they will keep the cheerleaders anyway just to give viewers the same experience at home in a sense? Of course in that case, I don’t think it would be wise to have a full team

Well I wouldn’t expect anyone from the organization to answer that... it’s not necessarily an “order” but yeah, if they tell you to dye your hair purple you will do it. I just don’t think it’s a coincidence that the few woc they allow on the team just conveniently choose to wear wigs and there are certain expectations that all girls need to adhere to, which aren’t really woc-friendly. Take Jacie for example, she went back to her natural hair the minute she retired. I won’t believe it was entirely her choice, much like the other girls are forced to agree with certain cuts and haircolors. As with sasha agent, her hairstyle doesn’t look much different to girls like Maddie, Courtney or Amanda. I don’t think we’ve seen this hairstyle on the team yet:
