  1. I guess it makes sense for Claire (Clare?) to be the lead. Isn’t her blood, because she’s jimmy Novak’s daughter, strong enough to hold Castiel vessel? I mean, it’s not totally stupid and it sort of makes sense in the spn universe,if that’s where they’re going. She’s been pretty whiny in the past. Maybe they’ll slowly change her character so she’ll be more likeable. Kaia and Patience are pretty likeable. Alex freaks me out with the whole vampire baiting thing.
  2. When did it become easy to kill a vampire? I mean you have to be really strong, not to mention tall , to lop someone’s head off with a machete or a double sided axe. Gordon, in season 2, a seasoned vampire killer , almost got killed by that vamp that Dean gave a haircut and the Boys are two big, muscular, highly trained dudes. I can’t see Donna killing many (or any)vamps all by herself. I mean if she had like a dead mans blood gun and could knock them out, she might be able to lop the sleeping vamps head off with like 12 swings of an axe (But that wouldn’t look basssed). It’s just not that easy to cut through bone, muscle and sinew. Anyway, trying to be positive about tonight. Does anyone know if the boys are going to be in the episode tonight for more than the openin* two minutes or of is it going to be all Wayward tonight?
  3. I think you'll get your wish. They keep saying the angels are going instinct. I believe that soon Cass and Lucifer will be the only angels left l wish they had added Jack to the Wayward sisters but I believe that they are pandering to the mainly women, millennial viewers on the CW. Also, I think the current environment of the Me Too movement and female empowerment has helped make the Waywards a strictly female event. Things will swing back to the middle in a year or two. But right now, men need to walk a fine line when talking about these things. It's kind of sad in a way.
  4. That’s really cool. It is a beautiful piece. Hard not to get emotional when you hear it. You should record it if you can Make it fluid. Hope you have fun learning it.
  5. Wow very impressive. Is it hard to play?
  6. Oy. That spoiler for Wayward looks so stupid. The four 20 year old girls need to be totally badass right away. Like no training and they shoot guns and flamethrowers. Even Jo took awhile to be a hunter and she was more mature and tougher seeming than those 4. I've never shot a gun (we don't do too much hunting in nyc) ) but it doesn't look that easy. I thought it was going to be more magic and fantasy than hardcore hunting? I might just watch it to root for the bad guys if they have any cool bad guys. Abaddon was pretty bad ass and a really great villain. . It took the Mark of Cain to kill her. So was Ellen. They never should've killed her off. But, yeah, they should've had a women regular a while ago. I guess they didn't want romantic entanglements for the 2 guys.
  7. I really like Jody, but I’ve never got the Donna thing. The young girls are very attractive but did they really need 4 of them. Kaia seems interesting and i think Patience is very likable. I’m hoping that they bring some male characters in. They need to make it like Supernatural, horror, humor, family, great music (no hip hop or I’m out). But I’m not in the age range they care about.
  8. Hey, just curious. What do you guys think the ratings will be this thursday night for the first Wayward Sisters/Supernatural episode?. My guess is that it will be a season high as a lot of people are really serious about supporting the Wayward Sisters show. But what do you people think?
  9. I was thinking if that was Michael, wouldn’t Dean have called him a douchebag? Like, “Shows over, Douchebag.” That’s kind of his thing with Angels. I’m not crazy about him saying “Shows over.” I hope that’s not foreshadowing. I’m not mentally or emotionally prepared for that yet.
  10. Rewatching season 13. I’ve got to say i can’t stand evil Levon Helm (Asmodeus.). Can’t wait for Dean to stab him. Really miss Crowley.
  11. haha hysterical. Can you buy a condo if you don't have a soul? I love Donatello. I really hope he comes back. They need more characters that have a sense of humor. They should resurrect Frank Devereaux from season 7. That guy was sooo funny.
  12. That’s a busy promo. Cass looks like the empty Cass. Same crazy look and smile. So Donna’s now a bad ass and has lost her accent. And Kaia’s good with guns. Did the wayward girls take a 2 week hunter intensive course? I hope that’s not Chuck. They really need to use him sparingly or it will get foolish. I do think that’s Adam/Michael at the end. Maybe Lucifer let him out of the cage to help him kill au Michael or the opposite.. There’s so many characters now. It looks exciting though. I just hope there’s enough Sam and Dean (and Cass) screen time.
  13. Your welcome. My pleasure. I always thought that the reason God *Chuck" sang Dinks song (Noah's wings) and loved "crappy" old folk music was also a nod to the beat generation which was the inspiration (along with Jazz) for a lot of On The Road. Otherwise, it wouldn't make sense. Dink's song is not a Dylan song although he covers it. It's an old traditional folk song. It's really a beautiful moment when Rob Benedict sings that song to Metatron. Just my opinionl
  14. Yeah i wasn’t talking about Dean Winchester being based on Neal Cassidy, the actual guy, just Loosely based on Dean Moriarty, the character in the book. I don’t remember Dean Moriarty being bisexual in the book i read in the 70’s but there was some strange subtext going on. Obviously Dean W is not like Neal Cassidy. Neil Cassidy was kind of a maniac, a speed freak who drove the bus for the merry pranksters and The Grateful Dead, i believe. I cant see Dean Winchester doing that. Question though, if Kripke said he’s basing Supernatural loosely on On The Road, he doesn’t have to pay royalties for that? I know you do in music, there’s songwriting royalties but i don’t know about tv. I thought the book was required reading for high school English literature but that was 40 years ago when i went to high school.
  15. Yeah, don't forget the x-files. Supernatural used a lot from that show. But i'm pretty sure Supernatural is a direct take off of On The Road, at least the first five years of the show. It was a huge influence on Baby Boomers and on Dylan and Jerry Garcia.
  16. Hey correct me if i'm wrong because i'm no expert but isn't Supernatural supposed to mimic my favorite book growing up, "On the Road." Two guys (Dean moriarty and Sal paradise) crisscross America, in a vintage car searching for God and Freedom (free will). They replace the shackles of domestic life and traditional work (apple pie life) with male brotherhood and bonding as a substitute for the nuclear family, white picket fence and regular employment (law school). In the book, Dean (Neal Cassady) is the one who drives the car all the time, has a temper, drinks too much etc. . They listen to Jazz (a 1950's version of classic rock and roll). There are so many parallels between On the Road and Supernatural that the Kerouac estate probably should've sued Kripke. But my point is that it's a book about the male bonds of friendship and brotherhood, not necessarily a love story. They even get away with using the mixed name Sal Moriarty in Swan Song as the guy who first buys Baby.. Sorry for the book report. That's just always the way I saw the show
  17. Seriously????? Wtf. So now the guys who've beaten like 4 apocalypses, killed so many demons, angels, reapers, Even Death, got rid of the Darkness need saving by 2 or 3 twenty year old girls with little to no experience as hunters. It's going to be a cringe worthy episode for me. And i almost always like all the episodes. But this is too much for me. I think they are just looking to hook the millennial viewers. Screw everyone else. Maybe they should trade Baby in for a new Prius, play some Drake music in the car and have Dean and Cass make out. I feel kinda old and left out. Just saying
  18. Man I really hope they don't kill Off Dean. I will literally throw my tv out the window. That would be 13 years of watching down the drain for me. I'm not too happy about the Wayward girls coming to "save" Sam and Dean. Since when have they needed saving. They've been imprisoned numerous times, stuck in hell, heaven in purgatory etc. It's one thing if Cass or Jack helps save them. Those dudes are supernatural creatures. It's a bit absurd for Claire, Kaia and Jody to come and save them. I thought they were the "guys who saved the world."
  19. Yes, I feel the same way. It seems as if the younger fans are really into it so maybe it will succeed. But if Supernatural only gets 1.7 million viewers a week, what do they expect Wayward to get? I would've been happier if they had a grizzled, older male (or female, like that women Tara or Ellen), in the cast. Has anyone heard if Supernatural has been picked up for season 14 and if it's going to be a full season or just up until episode 300?
  20. What happened to the angels being "Junkless." I know Cass had sex with that reaper when he lost his grace and became human but how did Lucifer have sex to foster Jack? So confused. Is that a retcon? (if i'm using the right word. I'm not that familiar with all these things. Just a big fan of the show.)
  21. I think we should be prepared for a lot of supernatural lines being co-opted by Wayward sisters. I'm pretty sure they'll use the "hunting trip" line and I really wouldn't be surprised at all if at the end of the Wayward sisiter episode or the pilot if it gets picked up, we will see the girls from behine their car, throw a shotgun in the trunk and say, "we've got work to do." I think they have to pull as many spn viewers in as possible. I just hope they make the new show more like Supernatural and less like Riverdale or one of those teen shows on the cw. Apparently, the president of the CW is not sure viewers will tune in to Wayward Sisters if the boys aren't on and neither am I. I hope the show is successful and i'll watch it,. But i'm a little skeptical.
  22. Taking the “easy” way out to relieve the pressure is the absolute definition of suicide. If you watch point of no return you can even see Sammy saying to Dean that he’s going to kill himself. I just think point of no return, like the title says, is Dean being at the ultimate brink of despair and ready to say yes to Michael which is anathema to free will and anything’s he ever stood for. It’s where he was at his lowest and has to be brought back by Bobby’s resolve, Cass’s beating and Sammys forgiveness. It’s just a freaking great episode. It has everything that makes Or made Supernatural so great.
  23. Yeah but the difference is in the early seasons there was no guarantee or excpectation that they would return if they died. I guess Dean did expect he would return in Dark side of the Moon when he said he'd come back and be pissed when Walt and Roy shot him. The later seasons I feel that he doesn't really feel death because he knows he will return. And I don't really believe that Dean believed anything the Angels said. I wouldn't after seeing what happened to that guy Raphael possessed. And also, Michael lied because he did leave Adam a drooling mess in the end.
  24. The only time i remember feeling that Dean was suicidal or had given up was in Point of no Return. When he was packing up his leather jacket and putting his keys to the impala in the box, I thought he was done. But then Sammy came in "What the hell, man. This is how it ends" and brought Cass in. Then Bobby set him straight with the round in the gun he looked at every day. When he told Bobby that he wasn't his father and wasn't in his shoes, the look that Sammy gave him was priceless. One of the only times that I remember when Dean really let everyone down. But then he stabbed Zachariah and everything was better.
  25. Deans not giving up hunting, even if Sammy died. It’s in his blood. He’s said that many times. He tried for a normal life with Lisa but like he said, what he’s really good at is killing monsters (I think he said slicing throats). The show is not going to end with Sam or Deans dead. Maybe both of them but not just one. If they have just Dean or Sam die at the end then I’m going to throw my tv out the window. Also, Dean knows that if Sam (or Cass) is alive and he dies, one of them will try to bring him back. Death (Billy) won’t even allow Dean to die. He has work to do.
