  1. It's not totally a female issue (although it is 99% of the time). I think I read somewhere that Sebastian Stan has talked about how hard it was filming his Winter Soldier scenes with his hair whipping around in his eyes. And when I recently watched Desolation of Smaug I couldn't help but remember the discussions on the topic with all the elves' long hair swishing around during the battles. And Adrian Paul had long hair for most of his run on Highlander (though he usually kept it tied back). I think it's just more about having a certain character look that's considered more important that what's realistic.
  2. Yeah but it was set up as something that would end up having more long term consequences, and then was just dropped. I just feel like it's another example of how poorly planned this season was.
  3. I was reading the Identity episode thread and it reminded me of something I'd forgotten about that was never followed up on. Remember Roy stealing stuff from Verdant and Thea thinking her suppliers were shorting her? Whatever happened with that?
  4. Are there real spoilers about that? I missed it - I thought it was just fan speculation.
  5. He was surprised about the reaction to him comparing Oliver and Laurel to Lois and Clark. I think he knows about the Laurel hate, because he's mentioned it in interviews.
  6. LOL truth, although he's earned a bit more leeway with me than Kreisberg and Guggenheim have at this point. My fear is not that CL won't be back. I'm sure she'll be back, although I'm struggling a bit to see how she'll fit in as a regular if she's no longer Black Canary. I'm just afraid they're going to make her an antagonist/villain so that Laurel can be the contrasting hero.
  7. I don't think so. I think they said recently they'd considered making her Ravager at one point. Which makes one wonder why the switch to Black Canary? I've been thinking about this, and I think they probably did intend to kill Sara at the end, just as everyone had predicted. The arc makes more sense with Sara dying heroically than going back to the LoA. But they probably rewrote it due to Sara's popularity and the fear that anger over her death would focus on Laurel. They probably thought that people might be more likely to accept the switch if Sara still lived.
