5/5 with 1*. But I am willing to change my score to be able to sit at the enchilada, salad (WOW to that photo!) or hot dog tables.

One of us will distract the other tables & the other of us will discreetly nab food. Sound like a plan? 🤫

  2. 5/5 with * Twain was a total guess!

3/5 - the middle three. Monday & Friday blew chunks.

Same here. I always forget about James Monroe, and my first thought for Friday was Doyle, but figured that European meant from the continent so went with Ibsen.

  4. I’ll bring brisket & ribs to the T43 from my family’s Memorial Day BBQ. I can bring olive oil potato salad too. With real potatoes; not cauliflower which my mom tries to pass off as potatoes because she says we will “not be able to tell the difference”. Even if I were blind and had no tastebuds I can tell. See also cauliflower as subs for macaroni & pizza crust 🤢

I’m at the T41 this week. Bringing these mushroom tarts. They have a layer of gruyere cheese, mushrooms, all in a light flaky crust with a quail egg on top

    Looks amazing!

@Grundoon59 - My most successful weeks are usually thanks to a couple of lucky guesses or something pulled from a far recess of my brain.

  6. 3/5 I got Faulkner (Steinbeck & Hemingway crossed my mind too), Rossini, & Poland. I could picture Nighthawks, but had no idea of its name. And I responded Saggie Bay to rhyme with Maggie May lol However Dr Toothbrush & I had a proud parent moment when one of the twin MiniToothbrushes said, “I love that song”. But then a few days later said she had never heard of Poland. Win some, lose some 🤷‍♀️

I've never heard of Cane's, but according to their website, there's one about 75 miles away, in Ohio. Don't think I'll make a trip there soon!

I'm in the mood for some warm weather fare with my chicken fingers - how about a salad of spring greens and baby spinach with chopped green onions, topped by a hot bacon dressing?

That salad sounds delicious, and more in line with what I should be eating anyway!

Cane’s started as a concept in a marketing class project at LSU. The student only got a C because the professor said a restaurant serving only 1 food item would not be successful, but that student was able to turn it into a crazy successful company. Their Cane’s sauce was my biggest craving when I was expecting MiniToothbrush #1.

  8. 3/5 no * Yemen was a guess as I had no idea if it borders the Red Sea, but it is at the end of the alphabet so Yemen it was. 🇾🇪 Poe was a guess also, but I remembered reading that his parents were actors so went with that.

Week thirty-six: three of five, with the asterisk!

No asterisk but I’ll see you at the TF3. I’m in a fried food mood so I’ll bring Cane’s chicken fingers. With extra sauce 😋

You can be the hostess & I’ll put some chicken fingers & fries to the side for you. TX toast too.

  9. 3/5 one * (Tuesday) Of course I missed the geography question, and I said Saturn for Wednesday. I clearly missed the century part of the clue, not that I would have gotten it anyway

I will be sneaking over to the table for 1 for jambalaya & beignets.
