No, it's not only Kody that Christine is leaving. But this hasn't been a real family unit since they left Utah and each had separate homes. And Kody's Covid protoculls just kept them even more apart.

How are they destroying what you wanted? When you came into the family, you changed everything.

Janelle gets it. And she's not in that little convo with Meri and Robyn.

Meri's hair looks like a rats nest on the Talking Heads.

I feel for Savannah. She was game to try living in the RV but we knew it would be too hard and now Janelle does, too. She's a loving mom, though, and however much she loves being in the RV, she loves her daughter more. Props to them both for trying.

Kody doesn't want to gloat about Janelle having a hard time? Not hardly. He can't wait to rub it in. Not to mention he can't stand the idea of sharing the space, which I'm sure is fine with her, too.
-
Meri says stuff like that and yet she still tries for crumbs from Kody. I don't get it.

I know, this was so weird.

My guess is that it wasn't Kody's choice (which would have annoyed him no end) but one made by Logan and Michelle. Not many brides/grooms have a family the size of Logan's and there had to be some structure on how they would all sit. Michelle's family was seriously outnumbered.

Kody Brown: The Man Who Survived a KNIFE to the KIDNEYS!

The problem with that is that the professional would be a woman and he never listens to any of them except Robyn. -
Thrive Without Janelle: The Accountability Group

I'm at 4,853 steps which is really funny because I'm in a wheelchair! I do some limited walking and standing, but most of the time I'm rolling my way around. Somehow my Fitbit has figured out a way to count that as steps. Must investigate further. -
The episode title just jumped out at me: The Failed Priest. Clearly Kody didn't come up with that one, since I doubt that he considers himself a failure in spite of his monologe as he drove to Tulsa, "meditating" on his failed marriage to Christine. Here he is, head priest of his household(s) (is this an LDS church thing?) on his way to officiate a marriage for which he can't seem to find or use any coherent words. It's a pretty huge juxtaposition: an officiant, often a priest in some traditions, whose own house and relationships are a mess. Not to mention the dancing. Was that the failure? Was it his failure as a father, thinking of poor Gabe and Truely? How can he still be head priest of his household if he's not really following a religion at this point? I'm pretty sure the AUB kicked them out because of the show bringing too much attention.

And, of course, Kody who is getting LOTS of screen time this season so we can see just how messed up he is. He's angry, belittling, and oblivious to decent family interactions that the moms worked hard to develop on their own with their kids. Well, okay, Christine and Janelle. Kody just flops that noodle hair around, yells how everyone is doing mean things TO HIM, and looks like an idiot.

They grew up under the watchful eye of a TV camera filming them with consent of their parents but not necessarily their own consent. Now that they are adults, they have the power to shut that off.
-
Wait, didn't we see these previews last week? What are the chances they'll actually show up next week in the episode?
-
She had already packed up your stuff, Kody. You don't trust her and she doesn't trust you for good reason.
-
He got creative about the child custody agreement. Okaaaaay. That doesn't usually work out well for you, Kody.
-
Meri looks like she hasn't used a brush on her hair in weeks. Nothing like her Instagram highly made up self. She's not interested At.All. in this family.
-
Ah, but he had to follow his protoculls with lots of quarantine time before and after, plus getting there and back, and other important stuff.

Kody says things that other people only wish they could? Really, Robyn? In what universe?

I'm just waiting to see him dance. It should be epic.

Janelle, this isn't a "little bit of a failure" when one of the wives is leaving him. It's a big fat deal and yes, it's a really big failure because he is selfish and oblivious.

Give me a BREAK Kody! And you are confusing me with the hair, which is short when you're talking to yourself about how hard this all is, and longer ringlets in your talking head shot.
-
That is an excellent question! Do they think he's the epitome of a happily married man with wisdom to share? He is so weird.
-
He doesn't know how - and he wants everyone to hear his wisdom on every subject.
