I’ve seen each of them at Madison Square Garden. Paul Simon was on a reunion tour with Art Garfunkel at the time. Both concerts were phenomenal. I actually think P. Simon was in better voice than Paul M. for this 50th. Still wonderful to have both around and still performing,

I think that in itself may be a manifestation of autism, in that she may not be as aware of the social cues that could suggest not to lay this all out immediately. I loved it, though, because it was a real moment. Obviously Eva is high-functioning, and from first appearances Joe seems to be a genuinely compassionate person. In his profession he is a bonafide lifesaver and maybe this is just his nature.

I’ve been yearning forever for them to bring back something like the multiple choice quiz where they had to choose the right answer about details regarding the environment and each other. When they held up those blocks with A,B,C or D.

Okay, I’m sold. I already want Joe to win. His interaction with Eva was gracious, paternal, compassionate, helpful and very kind. Sai was rubbing me the wrong way right from the start. Too mouthy and demanding. But I couldn’t stand Stephanie and happy she’s the first boot. Loved Kyle giving a hand to Kevin when he had no chance left to win. Classy.

My DVR also cut off right after the cemetery bit so I missed Paul as well. I only saw one very brief moment of Daryl Hammond. I think he should’ve gotten more credit. Was he there and I missed it? Paul Simon was great as always. Eddie doing Tracy Morgan was great. Adam Sandler won the night though. You could see how all the insiders got all his references.

He’s very good-looking, but he does absolutely hurl himself onto a piano and launch into song at every opportunity. I think that since the basketball career (first love) didn’t pan out, he’s on this show to get publicity for what he thinks is his musical talent (second love), and actual female love is a long shot (third love, or no love at all).

Chris Rock’s timing was off for most of the show. I don’t know if he couldn’t see the cue cards or what the problem was, but I’m surprised because he’s so experienced. We saw him live in Atlantic City years ago, and we were laughing all night. I only sort of smiled tonight, nothing struck me as hilarious. I did get a kick out of Adam Sandler breaking the fourth wall.

Yes, a field of only two players. Smart, professional women and In their THIRTIES. I imagine they consider Teeny too young and Sue too old. Which is partly true, as Teeny is very immature and naive, and Sue is more “ancient” than they’ve been told. At least Sue won immunity but her gameplay is “I hate you.” Teeny showed she never knew anything and she shouldn’t be drinking. I don’t love Rachel but she’s played the best game. Of course she’d be extinct if not for Sol.
-
Well I am properly shocked that now I’m considering Andy to be a strategic player. I have also awakened to the fact that Teeny is in fact operating on the emotional level of a 7th grader. (Something which I’ve known about Sue all along). I don’t love Rachel but I do think she’s playing the best game. There’s really no one left for me to root for, once Sol and now Kyle were gone. Yeah I agree that Sue and Caroline needed to be separated, but I too would’ve preferred Sue to be gone. Someone’s gotta rescue her anyway before her face melts any further.
-
I agree, Debra Winger looks beautiful and natural, in face hair and body. The plot was ridiculous though. All in all, I felt that I was in fact watching Dancing With the Stars. I’d love to see her on that show!
-
When Joey was the Bachelor, his job was as a tennis pro in Hawaii. I think the tennis racquets really interfered with some of the choreography.
-
I agree, Sue’s face is melting. Calling Sue and Caroline Tweedledee and Tweedledum(er) sounds completely unlike Kyle, at least the way he’s been edited. Sounds more to me like either Andy stirring the pot or perhaps something Gabe said behind their backs, since he’s been clear from day 1 that he’s just using them. (His wounded birds). Sue is still deluded into thinking Gabe is her bestie but I’m glad Caroline was wiser.

But I imagine she HAD to know there was a criminal case against him. He was arrested, right? I think? or was awaiting trial when he died? I forget exactly, but it was in the news—- she knew. I suppose she told herself he was innocent. Why does abc not do its homework? Out of all the eligible seniors in America, they pick Gerry and Joan?

She definitely wanted to end up with someone with money. Her final three——a doctor on Lake Tahoe, a very successful and flashy salon owner and whatever kind of millionaire Chock is supposed to be. Plus yes, her “heroic” dead husband who was going to go on trial for financial crimes.

Yes, we get it, Joan misses John and feels guilty.. She’s the wrong person to be the lead on a show purportedly about finding love again. Also I reflexively keep feeling like I need to twist her jaw into place. I liked Jordan the most but he wasn’t so into her. And Pascal does not need this show to find women.
-
This is what I hope for on Pascal’s hometown date…fix up her rotten looking hair! Mark is very handsome but I agree, he cannot sustain being the lead of a show if he is going to be so taciturn. I thought it might have just been the editing, until she sent him home. But I am also a lifelong New Yorker, first in Manhattan and now in Brooklyn, so that slow, slow pace does not work for me either! I’ll go with Jordan as the one I prefer, but I think she will pick Chock Full O’ Nuts.

I know new era is supposed to show how hardcore the show is now, but I miss Ponderosa. I enjoyed all the gasping at themselves in the mirror, them exclaiming over how many pounds they’d lost, their ecstasy at the food and bed and shower. Everyone there was out of the game except for those who’d be on the jury, and I also liked when they discussed why they’d made certain moves, etc. But we can’t have nice things anymore.
-
Agree and it was for a good cause, except that in Jonathan’s case he appeared to be auditioning for Golden Chippendales!
-
Ah yes I see it now. She does look 20 years older here, but still attractive, and I deeply prefer her natural aging to Joan’s distorted face and ridiculous hair extensions.

Double yikes! Shes 60 or 61 and beautiful. I vote for Heidi as the next Golden Bachelorette! https://www.leg.state.nv.us/App/Legislator/A/senate/current/15
-
Yikes! And he seemed like a good guy, besides being a doctor he was so kind to Charles and to Kim.
-
That synchronized swimming bit was great! It seems like these guys have been healing each other’s emotional wounds. The camaraderie feels more authentic than anything they have with Joan. ETA: I really, really, really wanted to hear Gary discussing how Tina Turner came to be his godmother! Maybe he’ll talk about it now that he’s off the show?

I’m rooting for Sol or Kyle. That’s it. Don’t like anyone else at this point.
-
Rome is intolerable and that aggressive behavior towards Sol should be prohibited. Of course Rome planted himself by the puzzle, could not do one piece, and ignored Sol’s suggestion that they switch. I was so hoping it was Rome's time to leave, but I’m mainly relieved that Sol lives to play another day. From what I saw it appeared that Sol is the main reason they did well at the challenge. Even Jeff was gushing over his needing just two turns to throw the two sandbags. I’m not going to miss Kishan at all, though.
