  1. I think I pulled a muscle just watching that.
  2. Not sure if this thread gets much traffic, but hoping someone will be able to help me. I'm trying to find a fanfic i read a few years ago. It started with Lana in Paris meeting Bruce Wayne instead of Jason. Lex was a good guy in it, I think, and it was a Clark/Alicia fic. I'm positive I read it on fanfiction.net, but I can't find it now. Does that sound familiar to anyone?
  3. He really was like a parent saying, “Ok, you idiot child, go do this incredibly dumb thing. See how that works out for you.” Lance had a reason to be cranky though. We have no idea why Watson is such a jerk.
  4. I think it's the hair mixed with the color of his suit, but my immediate thought when seeing this was: love child of Frozone and Syndrome from The Incredibles.
  5. I was so proud of Oliver for that, even though I hated that he had to do it. I was even prouder of how him after they refused to come back. He managed to make it sound like he was saying, “You complete morons are going to get killed because you’re idiots.” without actually saying the words. I love it when Oliver gets sassy.
  6. My deal with Laurel vs Dinah is that at least Laurel’s bad attitude was somewhat earned. As much as I disliked her and laughed at her single white femaling tendencies, she had a lot of shitty things happen to her. Most of them initiated or driven mainly by other people’s actions. Everything with Dinah this season would have been way more effective with Laurel. Her being mad enough at Oliver for not trusting her to leave the team would have made sense with their history. Her being Quentin’s confidante and encouraging him to keep a secret would have made sense. He was her dad. She wasn’t some woman Oliver recruited in a parking garage because she can screech really loudly less than a year ago who just happened to be the only other person in the room when he thought he killed BS. Even Dig trusting only her with the secret about his arm would have made more sense. Her addiction history could even have informed her response to learning he was using back alley drugs to treat it. (Not that the writers would have handled it well.) It just supports the idea that Dinah Drake is just the show’s attempt to redo Laurel.
  7. I believe he just never called Curtis's lawyer friend. (Oh look, Curtis gets to have non-vigilante friends.) I had forgotten that Curtis also tried to help him get Zoe back. Yeah, I really believe Rene's dedication to his daughter.
  8. I don't know anything about Yolanda, who very well may be a Hampshire who only used Had it for the recognition, but my mother went back to my dad's name over twenty years after they divorced when her kids were already grown adults. It's a perfectly valid choice.
  9. Everyone dust off your fanwanking skills. Again. .... Fanwanking sounds like such a dirty word.
  10. It’s strange because I also dislike Rene the least right now, and I even feel a teensy bit sorry for him. It’s partly because he has shown some kind of regret and partly because he’s just come off as not too bright in this situation. Like, I feel like Watson probably went after Rene not just because he had a weakness to exploit but also because she thought she could take advantage of his...naïveté? Dumbness? However, even though I don’t have as many hard feelings for him, I agree with whoever mentioned up thread that there will always be a good reason. Rene has betrayed Oliver twice now. He makes poor decisions. His heart might be in the right place, but he can’t be trusted. It’s not malicious on his part, but you shouldn’t have someone covering you in the field when you know you can’t trust them.
  11. If they want us to forget them, they should probably stop bringing them up.
  12. Except her ex-lover/partner (even before they knew he was Team villain) was known to run around killing whoever he deemed a bad guy with no thought to collateral damage and had attempted to murder her team leader.
  13. Boobs enrich the lives of billions of people, either by feeding them or entertaining them. Team bumblefarts provide nothing but eye roll injuries and betrayal.
  14. I would feel sorry for Curtis if he wasn’t being so whiny and precious. If your job involves fighting people trying to destroy the city and occasionally the world you should probably be mature enough to realize your feelings are not the most important thing in the world. I actually don’t think that Arrow is trying to say that what OTA did is equivalent to what Team Dumbf*cks did. What I saw was Oliver acting like a mature adult, and sometimes mature adults have to accept responsibility for things that weren’t necessarily their fault. He should consider this whole situation as practice for when William reaches that rebellious teenager stage. He will act exactly the same as those dingleberries are acting now. Except he’ll have crazy hormonal changes to explain it.
  15. That’s always been my second worst fear about being proposed to. (The first being a public proposal.) what if the guy picks out some godawful, ugly ring?
  16. That makes me wonder what happens to germs when you disinfect something. They don’t just disappear, right? Is this hypothetical glass of champagne now rife with microscopic germ carcasses just floating around in there? Would it be rude to ask for a new glass of champagne in this situation? Because I feel like drinking a tiny dead germ pool would kill the romance.
  17. I’ve always thought it was super gross. Did the guy make sure that ring was disinfected before he put it and all the millions of germs that must be on it in his girlfriend’s champagne or dessert or baked potato? Doubtful.
  18. That may be a fair point. Doesn’t explain why they built that ugly, poorly lit set in the first place. I guess I’ll just have to accept that Oliver likes his walls that way. Gross.
  19. He has those sliding door looking things, but there’s that one doorway on the other wall that looks suspiciously doorless. Besides, even doors can’t help the prison cell chic thing going on in Oliver’s apartment.
  20. I am so with Stephen on this one. Making Oliver poor was so pointless. It changed basically nothing except where he lives, and now we have to wonder how he affords all his expensive vigilante stuff, and I don’t want to think about that. I wish some lawyer would just show up for two minutes at the beginning of an episode to tell Oliver and Thea they finally got all their money and house back and apologize for taking so long. And then Myson can have a bedroom with doors.
  21. Lol. Do you think they have to do the Chris last initial thing? I wonder who gets to be just Chris.
  22. Except for the second time Sara came back, which is not repeatable both because the Pool of Whatever It Was Called is destroyed and because Laurel has now been dead far longer than Sara was and everyone knows bringing Laurel back the same way would probably result in even worse blood lust than she had, everyone who came back from the dead on this show never actually died. They appeared to have died to the other characters and were sometimes greviously injured, but they didn’t actually die and then come back. Laurel most definitely did die right in front of a bunch of people, in a hospital. She’s dead, and she’s not coming back. If that was a possibility the EPs were seriously considering BS wouldn’t be around.
  23. There’s a difference between wishing that a show would put two characters with great chemistry together and persisting in believing that a clearly dead ship will sail. Olicity has been endgame since season two, maybe before, and Lauriver has been dead in the water from the word go. I’m sorry, but believing anything else is ridiculous. The show has never deviated from this course. Even a half hearted viewing would be enough to see that.
  24. God, I want that just for the reaction.
