  1. And don’t forget Gunnhild calling Bjorn a demi-god... I couldn’t quite figure out the first scene with Ivar and Hvisterk. When the Rus scouts were retreating, the last Rus leaving gave a nod to someone, who we saw in the very next scene was Ivar, who in turn looked around behind him and there was Hvisterk. I was wondering why and a bit disappointed that we didn’t see their first reunion and interaction--time lapse I suppose. Kind of like how fast Ubbe and Torvi reached Iceland and how fast the baby came. Guess this means Gunnhild’s time is coming soon as she and Torvi looked about the same size. And back to Ivar. How was he able to fumble around on his leg crutches in that skirmish with Erik and gang, unless he stayed back in the trees (just along for the ride??) Which brings me to my last rant--is it just me or is it totally unrealistic how Ivar does manage to get around so well in his leg crutches, or braces, or whatever they are. So much for the crawling Ivar. He used to remind me of an old sci-fi movie from long ago of a cat woman or some creature that crawled through the night.
  2. I know what you mean--I have a gender neutral name--Adrian is the cult leader and I believe TJ is the college kid that Ben helped a few episodes back.
  3. I was thinking the same thing about Erik, too young to remember Ragnar? And I have to admit that I am kind of enjoying the new Russian Connection with Ivar and Oleg--they are both evil but charming, and good foes. We may or may not have to wait till the second half of this last season to see how it plays out. We are all, of course, hopeful that there will be no loose ends by the end of the season, including Floki and Rollo and the Alfred+ bunch.
  4. I agree with all of the above--though I do believe you meant back to Iceland, not Greenland. We have to know what happened to Floki--there is/was too much storyline invested in him to just write him off. From the beginning, we loved and hated him but he deserves a just farewell.
  5. The above is my favorite comment for this episode so far--Group Texting--brilliant! Olive going to the cult conference--reminds me somewhat of young Paige Jennings from “The Americans” joining the church group. I too am tired of hearing the phrase “the callings” in every other sentence. Do we even KNOW what the callings really are?? Sounds like “Lost” to me. Only two episodes and it is wearing me down.
  6. Oh brother. Not worry about paternity???? Without going back to watch previous episodes, and I may be wrong, but it seems like I remember that Grace and Ben did not sleep together right after he returned, getting used to each other, tensions, etc., so to me, anyway, it makes sense that the baby is Danny’s. They need to do the right thing and get the DNA test done now, and tell Danny if he is the father. That doesn’t make it “our time”.
  7. Definitely Torvi’s big wide-set eyes, and her distinct nose. I recognized her right off the bat.
  8. Zoo, that was a wild ride. What was it we were always waiting for? the attack of the killer zebras? Can’t even remember now.
  9. I forgot about Manifest, also on NBC. It got a season two and it is crazier than Enemy. Kinda like Under the Dome--how did that ever last so long?
  10. Still, wouldn’t the clothing show some signs of burning? Corny, but glad Reade was not hurt.
  11. Just saw where NBC has cancelled The Enemy Within. So much for that... I will watch the fifth and final season of Blindspot, also NBC, but after that, I’m not investing any more time in NBC’s projects. Enemy was corny but fun, leaving us with a cliffhanger, too, of course. At least Blindspot will have closure. Bye bye NBC
  12. The REAL “stubble guy” is Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) of Blindspot, though is he affectionally called “neck beard” on that show.
  13. That “look” given Keaton by Erica, could have meant a lot of things. At the time you could almost believe she was going to permanently escape, using Visser, which was, in fact, a great modus operandi.
  14. Basking shark--you’ve done it again--best post of the week. Made my day.
  15. Personally, I think they should have had tonight’s episode as the pilot--it would’ve prevented a lot of second guessing, at least in my camp. I keep picturing Tal as Arkady from The Americans, waiting for him to be the good Russian.
  16. Basking shark -- you should be a writer... love your posts.
  17. Boring...... Not surprised to see the on-going Shepherd/Tal thing, though.
  18. I agree about no development on the characters. Looking back on page 1 of PTV, I see a short list of cast members and Raza Jeffrey is listed as “Ali Ziai”, obviously a change or a mistake, as he is Agent Daniel Zain. And, I notice, at least in the imdb full list of cast, that there isn’t even an actor for Agent Bain. Hard to keep all this stuff straight.
  19. Mary Elizabeth Mastroantonio--Yes, she comes to mind, to me, most prominently in “The Abyss”. A favorite line she spoke in that movie directed towards her estranged husband in the movie, Ed Harris, was “Virgil, you weiner”. We have an ongoing joke in our house, and have for some time, to quote that line whenever it might be appropriate. When we first saw her on “Blindspot”, my whole family said in unison, “Virgil, you weiner!”.
  20. Me again, comparing Enemy Within to Blindspot. Is this a copycat show? (NBC, obviously same writers) Each show has an FBI agent Keaton, each show has a Shepherd. Is Kate the new Patterson? What do you wanna bet Patterson’s first name is Kate? I agree we need Richdotcom here.
