Shelly has created relationships with directors through networking at competitions that she judges, visiting teams that play at AT&T Stadium, and personal friends. It’s easy to know about our local (Texas, Oklahoma & Louisiana) teams, but she has branched out to some of the top competitive teams in the country. The only advantage they might have, is a recommendation that goes directly to K & J, coming from their directors.

Cianna was at a prep class I taught. The other Shelly is our actual recruiter...specifically college dance and pom teams. Over the years, I’ve talked with quite a few girls during the audition process, that have made the team. I have either met them through the dance world or we have mutual acquaintances.

She came to a prep class in 2016 that I taught. I thought she was precious! She retweeted the video I posted and thanked me for the class. I reached out and asked about her plans. We kept in touch the entire time.

She’s worked hard for that...just keeps getting better with all the dancing she’s doing now. My caption would be “buns out...where the hell is the sun?”

Hmmm....Rachel, Briana, Cianna. All three very down to earth, genuine. I had been talking with Cianna for the past two and 1/2 years, trying to get her to audition. I’m glad she finally made it to Texas.

They often talk with leaders...it’s not always filmed. I have stickers...just haven been shown yet, nor do I know if they will be shown. This episode was the week I added my two cents, and I'm totally fine getting edited out.

The girls have been paid for rehearsals for a few years. Several elements added to the budget last year and this year have made the “36” a hard number.

He doesn’t know them personally, but he’s definitely aware of the DCC dynamic. He’s from Dallas and danced with/taught many DCC (me included) before he went to LA. He had one of the more popular classes in Dallas that many DCC & DMD took back in the day. I wish you could see all footage...he gave Bridget great compliments, and reminded her to be as confident no matter what the choreo.

I’m good...been too busy with her little brother to mope. She’s doing GREAT!! Lots of choreo...I asked her if she could remember it ?? Tomorrow they will be finishing up their 5th number of one of the shows. They stage as they learn, which is awesome. Today was spent adding the vocalists. Her roomies recognized her from the show ?. She’s sore, tired, but enjoying every minute. She’s looking forward to Sunday...Drag Brunch in South Beach!

I’m not sure why...it’s been a part of the kickline since my rookie season. I would guess that Kilgore, Tyler Ju Co, and other schools with famous kickline Shad some influence. The first two schools often perform halftimes a Cowboys games. Tyler even had a Super Bowl VI appearance - Dallas vs. Miami.

No Caila grew up dancing in her moms BFFs studio, who was a DCC in the early 2000s.

All 3...if they aren’t healthy, fit and conditioned, it’s almost impossible to maintain the stamina for a game. The bonus to staying healthy and fit is being uniform ready.
