  1. Here’s who is missing from your list G3 - Christina, Taylor P G4 - Brennan, Taylor, Hannah & Jalyn
  2. They did Thunder, Travis Wall’s piece, a piece by Charm LaDonna, a new medley by Denise DiCharry and across the floor: turns, tricks and leaps. Judges are looking for style, technique, showmanship, etc.
  3. There was a post earlier that had all of the groups except TCC’s in G4 - Meredith, Lily and Madeline S
  4. Amy, Maddie, Heather, Tess, Gina, Lexie, Rachel A, Amber, Ashlee, Bridget, Caroline, Cianna, Daphne, Hannah, Rachel W, Amanda, Kelcey and Victoria I will add that the field was strong, and the new (Vets and TCCs) came with a mission. There were several that were very strong, but in the end, it’s the voting. There are considerations for the previous year(s), but just because your on SG the previous year doesn’t mean your are safe. They are always expected to keep pushing, moving up.
  5. SG is TC along with the rest of the girls and will be in Oxnard in late July. AS in LA right now.
  6. I suppose they could learn it from social media, although it would be completely opposite. We only teach original choreo at prep class, with the exception of the audition kickline. Thunder is taught during TC. Thunder is a compilation of a couple different dances. It’s possible!
  7. The filming, so far, has included some group work. With that being said, it may end up on the editing room floor.
  8. They have been chosen...Lacey, Khalyn, Kelli, Tasha, Danielle, Stephanie, Nicole & Emma. #newsflash - Don’t read anything into the selections. There are specific reasons for this season of AS.
  9. Not yet...it will probably be whoever moves into Courtney’s position.
  10. Not at all. Her position was technically as an intern, as are several positions throughout DCFC.
  11. 36 is the preferred number...visually on the field, formations are right size and easy to set. I’m sure that there are budgetary constraints, but that is not my area of expertise. Along with the other departments, our department has quarterly goals, that we try and reach through appearances, shows and dance clinics. As with any job, things evolve and change. Perhaps one day, there could be a bigger squad.
  12. I know this year will be a little shorter and sweeter than in the past. Oxnard is scheduled for 3rd week in July.
  13. The first rehearsal of TC, Vets sent TCCs into the studio, had a meeting in the locker room to decide/pick BBs and then they revealed their buddies later that week. I just happened to walk in the locker room when the Vets were huddled up deciding.
  14. No...it literally was a discussion in an EOY meeting with K & J with one of the girls. The next season It began. It sounds like something Amy would come up with since her studio does something similar. Would you like for me to ask?
  15. Courtney has moved on from the Cowboys. I’ll see if the social department can do a locker room tour.
  16. Not a lot really. But, Big Sis/Lil Sis was very understated for a while. TCCs naturally gravitated towards a Vet that they could learn from. Boot Buddies brings back the mentoring concept, goes beyond the studio and allows for different connections to be made. If you could see the locker room since Boot Buddies started, you’d see all the notes of encouragement and treats that they exchange daily that last through the entire season.
  17. No, I don’t...they do it on their own at the start of training camp on their own time. Believe it or not, the girls come up with traditions on their own and are not spoon fed every aspect of DCC. Boot Buddies originated from an idea in EOY meetings.
  18. Vets pick the boot buddies themselves, probably by seniority. Some are sharing a boot buddy, as there are more Bets than TCC.
  19. Not necessarily...depending on the season, Judy has the leaders as her eyes and ears, per se, on the ground. But, there always seems to be one that she is more in tune with, that conveys messages, etc.
  20. Groups...height, hair color, look, skills are varied. If the groups were placed by skill, that would leave the work lopsided among the leaders, as well as the groups. Leaders are usually by seniority, but there have been exceptions, when a girl has had more experience being a leader.
