Well, Wrinkles is gearing up for the Jerry Springer/Maury Povich episode next week (AKA the tell nothing). Of course, she's the only one that thinks she's on Jerry Springer/Maury Povich and acts accordingly.

The only reason that I believe that to be true was that there were multiple episodes this last season where he was going to try to have another meeting with his parents, and she tried to talk him out of it. In her TH, she then stated that she she doesn't know why he doesn't leave it alone as they are never going to accept her. She is right, of course, except she has NO understanding of the culture in which she is living or she would know why he keeps trying.

I had said in an earlier post that I had not watched the episode yet as I was hesitating because I really do not want to witness any more of Asshat's abuse just like I no longer watch scenes with Angela and Michael in another TLC show. After having read the comments in this forum on the episode and after having watched the YouTube video below, I decided not to watch it. Frankly, I don't want to witness Asshat's abuse, Robyn's histrionics, Asshat's blubbering over one of Robyn's spawn living under his roof. Their story simply does not interest me and he infuriated me. This season has only been tolerable because of Christine and her story and Gabe is also a favorite. I really do hope TLC cancels this show and does one with Christine and Janelle if Janelle has indeed left. I would love to see what their new life looks like and I would love to see how Gabe's life turns out.

I have not yet watch this episode because I have been delaying it. I guess I'm a sick of watching Asshat abuse his "wives" and his kids as I am of watching Angela abuse Michael. (Why don't they get Angela and Asshat together - they deserve each other!) Now Janelle and her kids seem to have the privilege of being the target of his abuse, neglect and contempt. I didn't have kids because I didn't want kids however, I have to say that if I had had a son and he was like Gabe, I would have been quite pleased. Hopefully, Janelle has gotten out by now.

I have come to the point where I fast forward through everything (either because I don't care about them or I can't stand the sight of them in the case of Wrinkles) but Sumit and his fool and Usman and his fool. Basically, Sumit spent the episode looking like a deer caught in the headlights. Jamal needs to get his mother and put her ass on a plane and don't let her out of the country again. I am sorry, but I like Sumit's father. No histrionics and, whether you agree with his view or not, he is crystal clear that he is never going to except her and about what he wants to see happen. And I am sorry, but given that culture and the world within which they live, I understand his position. Sumit has to make a choice and, in my opinion, he has not made it yet because he really doesn't want the life his culture expects if him and Jenny gives him the excuse to avoid it. I don't think his avoidance of a decision has anything at all to do with his feelings for her. She is a means to an end.

I listened to the same podcast. And prior to making that statement, she talked about polygamy being fear based. When she said that, prior to explicitly stating that she had therapy, I knew she had therapy. The fact that she did not react to him was why he was in such a rage, in my opinion. I remember, in my 12 step programs, they always said that the opposite of love is not hate. It is indifference. She gave him that in spades. 👏👏👏 Her comments about the kind of father that Asshat is was very enlightening as well. Especially, the comment about her kids watching what a good father he CAN be. Gee, wonder whose kids were getting his best. Also interesting in this interview is that Janelle told her do not leave until she can support herself. That appears to be what Janelle is gearing up for as well. That was a very good interview.

The most satisfying moment of the entire 17 seasons was that shot of Christine's truck driving down the road with Asshat looking on as she disappeared into the distance! God that felt good!!!

Why is Christine still arguing with him rather than kicking him the hell off of her property? Somebody else can come over and help her put the snow blower in the truck.

Most people who demand respect don't deserve respect because respect is earned. This is especially a true of Asshat.
