  1. Because of their real-life friendship, it was hard for me to see anything other than Matthew/Beth. I'm glad you were able to. :)
  2. I'm glad that they're doing 'chemistry checks' with Spencer. To be honest (and this may be an unpopular opinion), I actually think he had the least chemistry with Maeve, the few times they shared the screen together. Their 'last dance', while sweet, was much more Matthew and Beth than Spencer and Maeve.
  3. Oh, and then this popped up and sorry but I love it. Matthew directing Mosley Lane:
  4. This used to be widely available, but now I can only find it on this weird Japanese youtube. Pay no attention to the subtitles, and it takes a while to get through the anime intro. For those who haven't seen it, Matthew tells a ghost story about a building he used to live in. He's beautiful, a great storyteller, and it becomes very touching at the end. Anyway, enjoy. http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMzc1NDczNjM2.html
  5. I've liked pretty much everyone they've introduced for potential or real love interests. I even warmed to Sam (borderline doofus). I have a theory that so many railed against Beth because they didn't care for how Hotch became around her - nearly submissive - and yes I do understand that. Beth, as a standalone character, was fine, imo. She was athletic, compassionate, accommodating to Hotch's schedule, supportive, and kind. I do think people may have seen her as "too perfect", maybe. It would have been nice to see her have her own agency, her own problems. Her flaw for me was that she existed solely to be a prop for Hotch. But I still liked her. I've liked all the girls they set up for Reid, too. Lila, Austen, Maeve, Dylan, Dorian. Though I think Maeve and Dylan were his best matches (what would Spencer do with a bartender?), I like that they touch on the fact that he's attractive to the opposite sex, and responsive (though awkward). The only one I never liked was Kevin. He was... sort of gross. I kept wanting to swat him away like a fly. Oh! and worst was Hit/Run, best was Mr. Scratch. I know it wasn't the finale, but it should've been.
  6. I hope they don't make Luke be all 'supercop' and say he brought those fugitives in all by himself. All the show needs is some arrogant cowboy character, ugh no. I'm hoping he's a soft-spoken, reverential kind of agent, who happens to like kicking in doors.
  7. I noticed that as well, and it worried me too. He hasn't been one to tweet personal feelings like that since his MySpace days. If it ever gets (or IS) serious, I hope he knows how supportive his fan base is. I don't want to speak for everyone, but I'm fairly confident that we'd all queue up to raise him up if he ever needs it.
  8. I love Spencer, always have, and his growth arc is endlessly interesting to me, even though they do r***** it sometimes and it frustrates me no end. One episode he'll be wise/brave/noble, the next ep he can barely focus enough to form words. He's still my favorite character on any contemporary show. Matthew? I'm getting a little bored of his "I'm five years old" act. He can do better, really. He's immensely talented, and a skilled director. I'm looking forward to seeing what he does once he realizes he's an adult.
  9. Japanese is a stunningly beautiful language, and I for one would like to see those tweets translated! I haven't the slightest idea where to locate them, though.
  10. Thank you, and always happy to check out new works. *high five*
  11. I hope they don't go there with Garcia. I can see her being over at Morgan and Savannah's house all the time, ostensibly to help with Hank Spencer, so missing him at work might seem a bit much even for her. Agree that they won't have Spencer be a jerk to the new guy, probably, so maybe it's the new guy that is being a jerk to the team? Whatever they do, I'm thinking it will be Hotch that sets the tone.
  12. I agree with you on this, Droogie. Seeing Spencer happily and healthily in a loving romantic relationship (other than the 'family' relationships he has with his teammates), has always been my visualized endgame for him. For better or worse, these writers are what we've got, so here's hoping they'll make it happen this year. Maybe the new writers will show him some much-needed attention, too.
  13. I think a post-Maeve Reid showed substantial growth (more physical initiative in taking down unsubs, being more proactive with personal risks when teammates were in danger, increased trust in his friends and a deeper understanding of their commitment to him), in comparison with how he floundered while he was hunting her stalker. There's room for more, and I hope they continue to build on it.
  14. I think it's safe to assume that Diana will either die, or become critical this season. They were hinting at it with Reid's absence last year and I do think he'll need to deal with it this time around. While I hate to think of an important (though minor) character's death being a catalyst for hero growth, I also have faith that Spencer will come out of the experience a stronger man, with a healthy sense of self. He's got a solid support system under him now, it isn't like he's an abandoned child any more, and he's a hero, and a warrior. He'll be okay, I'm just unhappy that Sharon won't be around to write it.
  15. I look at it more like "they're getting the band back together", except that Luke will be the new Morgan. They do need their door-kicker, don't they. I'm looking forward to a lot of nostalgia. Old Unsubs, old agents returning... and I don't think for one second that Morgan won't make an appearance. If we're lucky, maybe some old writing will be evident, too.
  16. Someone on fb asked "Is Quentin Tarantino directing 2016?" Because that's what it feels like.
  17. Was going to start my rewatch of this last night but got sidetracked by Wentworth (again). I need to get busy, time's running out. Can't wait for the new season!
  18. Bless this darling girl, this character. We all loved you, Poussey. Rest In Peace.
  19. Paget's been dropping not-so-subtle hints about returning. I wonder if Emily is coming back full time or it will be just an appearance?
