I was at a lunch w/my advisor & some other doctoral students. I felt so strange, and kept getting up to go outside - talk about your feeling of impending doom. Finally, I couldn't take it anymore and asked her to take me to the ER. Not only did she sit w/me while I had an EKG (turned out it was low blood pressure), but she took me to the Krispy Kreme store and we sat there like idiots with donuts. One of my fondest memories - everyone should have an advisor like that.

I got 2 vegan handbags from Poshmark. Someone else's foolishness is my bargain treasure.

As bad as it sounds, I'm not surprised. It seems like most of our obesees have arrested development and very little emotional control.

I just checked - it's 16 hrs from Cincin to Houston - and they're going to take 8 days to do it??

Lactaid and other lactose pills are what you need. I have been LI since a teen and normally just avoid dairy, but sometimes the ice cream would get me... I found that I could eat cheap ice cream w/o too much problem, but the high-end stuff would make me sick as a dog. Not to pat myself on the back, but as a person w/a serious ice cream jones (as in, when I first moved here, I stocked my freezer w/cartons of ice cream because I was afraid it would snow and I wouldn't be able to get to the store), I have not had any since the holidays - just eating whips yogurt, which is like ice cream to me, and which I only eat 1 pack w/a meal, instead of a whole pint of Halo Top.

Sad to say, I can practically sing that one by heart. I must have been traumatized.

I'm getting my dinner ready to take upstairs and looking round the kitchen for something sweet. to round out the meal. Not.a.thing. I'm going to have to go back down and put some peanut butter cookie dough in the air fryer (yes, my friends, you can air fry cookie dough).

MRSA from a C-section?? Must have been from the area not being able to be cleaned well? Jeez, these people have hard lives.

Probably. Doesn't that count against your 'contact' time, so that you'll have to make it up at the end of the year? 😃

Because I am drawn to James K like a moth to flame... watching his show again (bought it on amazon). Lisa says James gained weight because he broke his ankle, and then the bed broke, and fluid built up. Wha??? If the bed breaks, get another one, or at least put some books or bricks under the leg to even it out. And, even if you break a leg/ankle aren't you expected to at least move around and get back to walking as soon as you can? These people seem to take what should have been a momentary set back (Janine, I'm talking to you), and then milk it for all its worth in terms of eating and not moving. I dunno. If I break an ankle, I'm pretty sure I'm expected to find a way to get to work after a few days/a week. Certainly it wouldn't be an excuse to go on disability and eat myself into oblivion.

OMGoodness - they're using 'Sail' in the Nissan commercial! Sail by awolnation One of my favorite songs. Someone on YT made an 10 hr loop of it - and they were not wrong to do so. No siree.

I watch one freakin' show a week - why do people feel the need to call me long distance???

Y'all know me. All these people living together, bring kids to live w/men who aren't their father. I don't get it. Two adults can do what they want (tho I'm gonna still be judgmental), but women, leave your kids out of your affairs until you get married. Plus - this guy is hardly father material. He's sick. He's demanding. Your daughters are getting no idea of what a man/father should be to his wife or to his kids. I do not get the attraction, and I certainly don't see the concern for the children - which should be primary on mom's mind. She needs to go to school, take care of the kids, and live her life. I have to wonder if some of these women don't lose out on better relationships because they are so bogged down being caregivers to obesees they can't see the opportunities around them.

I'm still trying to figure how he's on his stomach like that. I'd much rather be face up - especially with a breathing problem.

I don't know why, but I love those pants & suspenders. Kinda like hockey players' shorts.
