  1. A mega dose of morphine might shut her up for a bit.
  2. I am trying not to be a horrid person, but all I can think is that she did this to herself. At 400 lbs, she could have gotten bypass almost anywhere. She could have lost weight on her own at any point before then, even if she just got to 200-something. What's the odds that she's done any of Dr Now's diet so far? I spent the last 5 years of my working life auditing clinical trials. I learned about diseases and conditions I'd never heard of before and I'm quite the hypochondriac and thought I knew a lot. The adults and children in these trials didn't make themselves sick. Some were suffering terribly. Knowing that, it's hard to be sympathetic toward people like Shannon.
  3. Can somebody explain again why these people are in pain when they're just sitting or laying down? I don't want to be mean, just curious. Simon sounds like he's a bit fed up. Dad ain't too happy either.
  4. "Once I get what he sends me..." Until then, she's gonna eat like there's no tomorrow.
  5. I'm gonna make an admission here. I was on another board where someone mentioned that reddit used to have an 'immobile' subreddit, but they didn't know if it was still there. I'm here to tell you that it is. Good Lord. Some of the people pictured are from MSPL, others are doing it for the money (what else are they gonna do?). I thought I had seen it all w/Dr Now's people, but no. I hadn't seen anything. I felt sorry for a lot of them, but a lot of them seem to choose what they are going and are quite famous in this little subculture. Visit at your own risk.
  6. Hello my people! Tonight's eating habit is 1/2 a bag of Caesar salad and a burger patty, no bun. I might make a chocolate soy milk shake with half of a frozen banana for dessert later.
  7. It was already on her social media months ago when she got it. And like I said, she's not alone; there are producers, camera & sound people, etc. in the apartment. Who knows where she got it from?
  8. My DIL had to have a C-section, which got infected in the hospital. Then she tested positive for COVID (after being negative when she came in). They made the baby leave because they couldn't let him back in the nursery and he couldn't stay with her anymore. I had to hang at my son's house w/baby while a lot of drama went on. Then they made DIL leave because they were afraid of MRSA in the infection, and COVID, even though her wound was awful. Wonderful. Fortunately, the state said my son, baby, and I didn't need to get tested. I still don't know if it was a false positive or what, but she never had symptoms and she was still able to nurse. Meanwhile, the wound needed packing 2x a day for weeks. It took my son a while to be able to deal with it, so they had to go back to the hospital each time for treatment. Whew. But things have calmed down, she's almost closed up, and the baby, who is all kinds of cute, is a big fat 15 lbs at 3 months. I wish Amy well, but I think things may not be as easy in the long term as they appear to be now. Maybe. I just hope she is mentally strong enough to raise a child. I never know about these two - are they developmentally disabled? Uneducated? Dunno. I don't know - they've been all over the place and around all kinds of people w/o masks. Who knows where she got it from? For that matter, some young person on the production team could be asymptomatic and gave it to her. You never know who people are around.
  9. No. It's from some movie. I forget which, but I think it was Stephen King horror movie. People made fun of her naming the baby after a character.
  10. No parental discipline. Tell them to take off the headphones. If there's discipline in the home, you won't have to ask twice.
  11. Thank God this crap is over. See you next week, folks!
  12. Looks like Dr Now was right about the wife. She may have had the surgery, but somebody was feeding him all that food. She sure wasn't supportive before. Maybe she likes him this way. Keeps him a baby, which is certainly the way she talks to him.
  13. My Lord. If another adult talked to me like that, I'd have to jump out of the car. Or push her out. I'd be good with that, too. And these people are looking for crystals to help his agoraphobia? Spare me.
  14. For those who just got the Rakuten commercial - I got $20 yesterday. Not a lot, but enough to keep me in diet Pepsi.
  15. Does anyone know if TLC pays for extra surgery if it's required before the WLS? If he needs bowel work or whatever, will they cover that?
  16. It's only a beacon if you know about it. I'm sure I'm not alone in having never heard about this and I've worked most of my life on campuses where every little issue has some kind of color, badge, or trigger warning. Obviously, I'm not the most sympathetic person on the quad, so maybe I missed it.
  17. I remember that show. My late husband loved Bruce Willis' stupid jokes. He also thought I looked like Miss Depesto. I never thought so, but I think it was the whole demeanor, the hair, etc., not just the face. Personally, Bruce Willis drove me so nuts, I couldnt' get behind the show.
  18. Well, not as high as I thought. He must be 7' tall.
  19. He's so negative already. And she said he stops when things even look like they aren't going his way. I have no patience with people like that and couldn't live with having to constantly build him up - cause I bet he doesn't do it for her.
  20. I know I'm gonna sound like a Boomer here, but damn. When do these people grow up? I can't imagine living my life as an eternal child. Also, my nephew (the ripped weight-lifting nephew), did mixed martial arts competitions until an injury. He was never over weight. He has a masters in exercise science and does competitions, trains folks at the gym, etc. I see what he eats because he does food prep videos. How in the name of all that's holy did this guy do martial arts and no one told him, "Dude, let me help you with your diet so that you can be even better at this." Little sympathy.
