  1. I take gummies, too. I like them, tho I hear you don't absorb all the vitamins from them. Don't care.
  2. I was going to say something about COVID and not being able to get out, but no one's got on a mask, so this must be pre-COVID. That said, other than some church folks, I'd say most of my friends are all over the country and a few are international. I 'talk' to at least a couple of them everyday. Even though I am usually alone in the house, I don't feel alone because I can hardly keep up w/my online conversations and the various groups I'm in. I also don't have a problem going down the Netflix or Hulu rabbit holes by myself. She can take an easy class, join a church, volunteer, there's lots of stuff. I'm not saying it's always easy to find new people, but if she's lonely, that's on her for not making an effort.
  3. I wonder if some of the people who weren't successful look at people like Justin and wonder why it didn't work for them? I bet a lot of them just don't process all the hard work Justin did to get where he is.
  4. Maja is still overeating. Good to know. Couldn't happen to a nicer person.
  5. Years ago someone brought that up. I think the consensus was that he was hunched over from doing surgeries, which made him look like he had a pot belly. The man's a saint and in his 70's. Because of him, there are people living useful lives who would have been dead, so I'm gonna cut him some slack.
  6. Boy, I remember Christina's face at first. It seemed so tight; it was so full. She looks great. I hope she's working.
  7. Serious question for anyone here who's had WLS - Dr Now wants the obesees to have someone in Houston with them after surgery. Assuming you had your surgery in your home town, did you have to tell the doc that you had someone who would be attending you 24/7 after the surgery? I'm thinking it seems like a bit much, but on the other hand, I guess most people getting the surgery aren't 600 lbs and nearly immobile, so maybe they don't need as much after care? Thoughts?
  8. That's called trauma. You might want to speak to Miss Lola or Dr Paradise about it.
  9. Whew! Thank goodness the thread opened, 'cause you know Maja is gonna bring it. I got my hair done last Wednesday and I guess the dye went to my brain because I forgot all about the show. My eating habit was 2 burgers (sans buns) and a small tub of Wholly Guac. I suspect a Yasso bar will be calling me in a bit.
  10. Well, it's been real, folks. See you next week. I'm gonna finish my taxes.
  11. She's a big woman. No way she's been "trying hard" with a 2 lb weight loss.
  12. Yeah. Apparently he's not the only support skunk out there, tho I don't know why this would be an attractive option.
  13. How're you doing? I had cataract surgery maybe 3 yrs ago. I used to be 20/400 something and now I'm 20/20 and 20/50. It's amazing! I hope you're doing well.
  14. Things aren't getting back to normal any time soon, Tammy, so tough it up and get back on the diet.
  15. That reminds me. There's a large woman on YT, Amy Ramadan, who is another one on a 'weight loss journey' and who has a support skunk. Yes. In an apartment w/3-4 kids. The skunk must be slacking. Amy hasn't lost any weight.
  16. We had a renter in the condo complex claim the dog they weren't supposed to have was a service animal. You can't even ask people for proof of this stuff. The dog wasn't a service animal, the landlord had to get constant fines because they didn't watch the dog, etc. We are strongly thinking of no dogs for renters. I did my dissertation in Seattle, talking to people in City Hall (trying to be vague here). Lemme just say that they accept everything as a service animal - rat, parrot, pit bull - these are animals I personally saw on buses and asked about. You can't species shame and you can't ask people to prove the creature is a service animal before you let them on the bus. Y'all have gone too far to be accommodating, people. Too far.
  17. I think he's always talked about the diet, but maybe the producers thought it was repetitive and cut it out. However, this caused people who were watching to wonder why he didn't talk about the diet. Obesees could swear he never told them what to eat and the audience wouldn't know any better. This way, it's on the friggin' film. I'm sure he always gave them the book or the stapled papers that we've seen. Some people like to lie as much as they like KFC. He has a 'Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence.' There are rules.
  18. And that, ladies and gents, is why we can't have nice things. The FDA and the drug companies have said we need to continue to social distance and mask, even after vaccination. The public document from the FDA and Pfizer, released just before the vaccine was released, says they don't know how long the vaccine will benefit people (there's a technical term here, but the TV's on and I can't think), so we have to continue to be cautious. "asymptomatic cases in combination with reduced mask-wearing and social distancing could result in significant continued transmission" Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee Meeting December 10, 2020 FDA Stay away from me, plague carrier!
  19. Nice product placement with the book there, Dr Now.
  20. I remember Ayds. I'm gonna be like one of Dr Now's patients - they didn't work for me. 😄 I generally keep Vivarin on hand. I don't drink coffee or tea, and while diet Pepsi isn't against what we call the 'Word of Wisdom,' I don't want to swill soda and aspartame all day the way some people drink coffee; hence the Vivarin.
  21. What is a chili burger? A burger with chili on it? How do you eat it w/o making a mess? A burger with chili powder/flavor in the meat?
  22. What kind of outfit does the mom have on? Dang - they haven't left the driveway and they're all eating in the car already.
  23. I was gonna say something about her wimping out during the ride, but it's 5 hours. I'd probably want to get out and stretch as well. Texas is huge!
