Hey, all. Watching on my tablet and doing dishes. Will catch up here in a bit...

This is in danger of being canceled. 😞 Everyone watch! https://ew.com/tv/2019/02/21/one-day-at-a-time-renew-plea-appreciation/

What a waste of time. I'm glad Christian left. Maja will never change as long as she continues to blame others for her problems and not take responsibility for her choices.
-
Wow. What a train wreck. Christian is apathetic and checked-out, Maja freaks out and calls her mommy to yell at him. "Wahhhhhhhhh! Nothing is ever my fault!!!!!!!"
-
Wahhhhhhhh. Such a victim.
-
LMAO. She's stuck in the car.
-
Haha from Christian. "Do you think they have Urgent Care in Texas?" "I'll check and see if it's a third-world country." LOL

How y'all doin'?

I love Beth and I loved this episode. Finally, some backstory/history on her. Beth's and Abe's relationship was so beautiful to watch. I am a sucker for father/daughter stuff. They were so close and it is awful that he didn't get to see her and his kids grow up, and become a grandpa. I can picture him doting on and spoiling Tess, Annie, and Deja. Hi, Goran Visnjic (Luka on ER)! Has he lost some of his accent, or was he toning it down for this role? So great to see him. Beth and Zoe finding the weed and getting high together, great. Her getting some closure from her mom, wonderful. Literally bumping into Randall, that was cute. So, Randall didn't go to Howard. I saw that the mixer was at Carnegie Mellon. Phylicia Rashad is a queen.

Seeing Max with Penelope again...damn it, they're so great together. I'm still not over them breaking up. Forget having kids and be together!!!!!!!! Mateo was a complete snooze. Zero chemistry. I'm glad that just because Victor was changing his ways, it didn't erase how he treated Elena when she came out and at her quinces. He has to work hard to earn back her respect and trust. I'm glad they turned Elena back down a few notches this season. I knew as soon as they kept mentioning Schneider's sobriety that he would relapse. That was well done by everyone. The fine detail of a using Schneider who knocks first was great. It was sad for Alex to have to find Schneider in the laundry room like that, but, he did the right thing and told his mom and abuelita. I'm sure we'll get a Season 4 and get to see Penelope as an NP. So awesome. Why are Lydia and Leslie in Cuba instead of Miami???? Will they get stuck there when trying to come back to the US? I can't believe we have to wait another year to get answers.

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage

So sorry to have missed this last night and the live chat - so much to catch up on. So many great comments and snark. I think I pulled muscles in my eyes, I rolled them so hard when Brandon was having that panic attack over a blood draw. We were all Kassandra. These college-knowledged participants make for some boring episodes... I guess everyone with a shitty childhood should be super obese, because that's an excuse to eat yourself into oblivion. Sure, I had a 'I'm an adult and have the freedom to eat whatever when I want' period, but, I got my shit together, for a few years now. His mom really didn't notice her son had a problem until he was 250lbs at 12, I think? Really? Brandon was already 500lbs by the time his dad copped to the affair and left. I don't understand why Brandon's mom couldn't support his siblings, and he couldn't finish college; such a waste to spend all that time and money, be so close to graduating, and drop out. Brandon's mom was a bitch. Just because you can't stand your ex, that doesn't give you permission to interfere with your son maybe reconnecting with his dad. Being a bad husband doesn't mean he's a bad father. Incredibly shitty and selfish of her. Be a better person, a parent, and help your son. I did not like Tayler at all. She just bugged me. "I think I enable him a little bit" "I want him to be happy, so, I bring him food" "One of the only things we can do together is eat" And surprise, surprise - she's fat, too, because she's eating the same garbage he is. You say you love your SO and you want them to be happy, but, you're helping them die... I felt for her when she felt like she had no choice in moving to Houston. Her family was too attached, acting like she was going off to war. I get that leaving your family for a year is hard. She's an adult, she'll be okay. There's FaceTime and Skype. Brandon's song that he wrote for Tayler was just cringe. Keep that between you two, please. I am happy that he got himself together and lost all of that weight.

I love that SM is airing on TV once again. It is like seeing a long-lost friend. :) Like I said above, the show ended when I was fifteen. Now, I'm 28, and so many of the story lines are just as relevant, if not more so today than they were in 2000-06. To say I have missed these characters is an understatement. Lu, Lana, and Peter. <3

It's clear that Casey doesn't want this surgery. He doesn't want to change; he feels forced into it because of his other family members. -
