I was born at 24.5 weeks, weighed 1lb, 7.5oz. I spent four months in the NICU. It's so weird to look at pictures of myself as this tiny thing and I can't imagine how scared my parents were; so many unknowns. I try to stay grateful to be here and for the quality of life I have, just mild cerebral palsy, no other major issues. So many other families aren't as fortunate.

I think a difference between Buddy and Duff is that Buddy has worked around family and took over his family business after his dad died (which I'm not saying is easy), while Duff went to culinary school and worked in restaurants under chefs/pastry chefs/non-family and worked his way up, and had to do more to earn his place and respect, so, that's why I feel like Duff has a thicker skin and is more professional. Family will not always call you out or want to hurt your feelings. Buddy being the boss of the shop from a young age, he's in charge, and not used to being challenged or criticized.

I agree. Just found out that the actress playing Maddie will be 20 in June. She looks older. The actor who plays Scout, is 21, will be 22 in June, playing a 15 year-old...Taylor is 12, and the actress is 14.

Found this browsing Netflix and checked it out over the last few days. I liked it. Charlie is cool, and I like Maddie. The 'Sarah cheated on John' idea was a good one to throw us off, but, I knew as soon as Taylor was reading her mom's journal and it said, "I told him the news, etc." and she didn't specify who, that Rick was Maddie's real dad. Another show where the kid's real dad is an abusive POS. I hope this gets a second season so I can find out what happens with Charlie and Alex, and Taylor's hypochondriatic symptoms (that's how they were described in an article about the show).
